I am reviewing based on my partner's lunch with his friend AND a To-Go Sandwich he brought home for me. He and his friend enjoyed a celebratory fun lunch of sandwiches and drinks. He and I both had Corned beef sandwiches. He likes his not- grilled. I asked him to bring one home the same way for me. I grilled it in a skillet the next day. I air fried the French fries ( I made them a little too crunchy.) I put the dressing and Cole slaw on the hot sandwich and BINGO! PERFECT!!! I'm sure it would have tasted better there, but I just had foot surgery and this was a nice treat!!!I have 5 stars for Service and Atmosphere based on his experience. He has always enjoyed lunch there. NEVER a complaint!

We really enjoyed our meals and our server was so pleasant and attentive. We got wings and chips and salsa for appetizers, fish and chips, the Brooklyn Reuben and a burger for our meals..all of which were simply fantastic!! We love coming to Schnitz of Ada and it's always great!

There are a lot of options on the menu, so take the time to read it. The sandwiches were ample, tasty, and I'd definitely eat them again. It can get loud at peak due to the layout so I'd recommend going during a slower time.Parking: Some street parking right in front, but your best bet is the extended street parking around the corner.

Lunchtime is always busy but service is really quick and the menu is perfect for your favorite American style sandwiches and salads. Although busy, the staff is always friendly and helpful .Dinner time is a totally different feel but equally as wonderful. The atmosphere is casual and the food is delicious. They offer classics like meatloaf (one of my personal favorites) and also offer up unique daily special’s. The carrot cake is to die for! Schnitz is well worth checking out.Parking: Parking behind the building can get tight but there are several handicap spots. There is also plenty of on street parking located nearby.Kid-friendliness: This is a family friendly restaurantWheelchair accessibility: There is a small elevator located in the main lobby between the bike shop and the stairs (in the back of the building) there are also plenty of regular height tables (with moveable chairs) that can accommodate those in wheelchairs.

I visited Schnitz for the first time. The food was very good and I ordered 'The Ginny' vegetarian fried rice dish off the daily menu. The rice was deeply spiced and excellent. The deep dried cauliflower with chili sauce was what I was looking for. The decor is nice and is a step up from casual dining for dinner. The wait staff was pleasant and we met Chef Chris who checked in on us.

Schnitz food never disappoints - awesome sandwiches! Friendly wait staff and hostesses - very casual and easy to talk and joke with. The setting can be a bit loud but mostly from the architecture/design since it's the warehouse-type open ceiling and wooden floors, but if you like that vibe the Schnitz does it VERY well.Wheelchair accessibility: There is an elevator but it's very tiny and slow.

Had a fabulous dinner there on Friday. The halibut special with risotto would rival any five star restaurant in GR! The fish was perfectly prepared and the the risotto had outstanding flavor. The fish and chips was also superb. Light and flaky fish in a light batter served with French fries and an excellent coleslaw with an oil and vinegar dressing. Our server was friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back! While it is a casual restaurant the food is above and beyond what your would expect.Wheelchair accessibility: Elevator in building

Schnitz is my go-to when it comes to dining in Ada. I have found no other establishment that provides consistently great food amongst their many menu options. With sandwich options fit for even the pickiest of eaters, you are bound to find food that you fall in love with.I rate Schnitz with four stars however for one reason; time. While the food is amazing, I have found myself waiting long periods of time for food to come to the table. While it is always worth the wait, the aromas that fill the building only leave you hungrier, and thus you notice the longer waiting period. I do not believe it is a flaw to steer you away, but rather one to be aware of.
