We have been with Eastfield Animal Hosp for decades for our new fur babies and for our old fur babies. When it is time for goodbye, they have always been gracious. We just laid to sleep our 15 1/2 year old flame point siamese cat. What a beauty and affectionate purr baby. We will miss him terribly. Thank you, Eastfield People and Dr L, for your kindness expressed toward us and to our Whiley.

After 20 years of going here with our dogs, we had to choose a new vet for our furbabies. Throughout the years we have had Dr. Bob, Dr. Barns...and loved the doctors , techs, and staff. Something changed in the last few years. Such an overturn of staff. We feel the compassion has left the practice.Our girl just had to have major surgery on Oct 7 for a situation that was not being treated correctly and being brushed off as something less . Our girl presented with trouble breathing and with X-rays showed it was pneumothorax. Air between lung and cheast wall. She was put on steroids and antibiotics. 2 weeks later , second xray appt on a Friday, Some improvement. But not great, But talking with the doctor we were spoken to in a very condescending way after asking questions. The steroids made her so restless. I asked the doctor what could we do. Doctor Lazjur asked me, is that ur anxiety or the dogs. She stated our girl could go back to some play and activity. I was appalled by how she spoke to both of us. I spoke to an associate in the waiting area in tears. She asked if we would like nyla to see Dr. Shirtleft for a second opinion. Our appointment was at 5pm on the Monday. At 645pm we were finally seen. Dr. Bob was stumped, he said let me confer with Dr. Lazjur, I will call you tomorrow. No call ever came. Called the next day. We finally got a call at 10pm Wed night. DR. said he think we should call tufts.I was done , our girl was not getting better. On Thursday morning I called tufts. They got nylas reports..they stated she needs to get there ASAP. they did emergency surgery on out girl...she had a piece of a twig in her lung , had to have a lobe of her lung removed. If we didn't trust our gut and went with what Dr. LAZJUR Said ,our baby wouldn't be here with us. This was a horrible experience and it wasn't the first!! But it will be the last!! Nyla is on the mend because of Tufts University in Grafton Mass. She had the best of the best care.Eastfield is not what it used to be. And they are low on staff (vets) and compassion. No one should wait an hour and a half to see a vet when you have an appointment.

I've thought a while about this review. We went to eastfield for around 7-9 years, the techs wnd receptionists were great. However the vets themselves were often extremely condescending and dismissive of my concerns, which on atleast one occasion nearly killed my younger dog. However, even detailing our last visit is a lot, so I won't even get starter there.For the most part I had Dr. Lazjur, though occasionally we had the male vet as well, who was frankly not much better.I eventually requested to have their transcripts sent to me while I looked for a new vet to care for our animals because I felt that I wasn't taken seriously.The last time I saw them, I thought my older girl had broken her toe deep into the nail bed, as it was bleeding, bent awkwardly, and tender to the touch. Lazjur came in in a huff, and chewed me out for returning after requesting my transcripts because I must have had 'such a massive issue with her care', which is ironic because I never gave a reason, perhaps she should consider why it was so blaringly obvious her care was our reason for switching.She, as well as a vet tech who I had previously very much liked, despite my older girls disdain for everyone in that office, proceeded to be extremely rough with her. The vet tech put a muzzle on, something we hadn't had to use for her in years when it became apparent she was not a bite risk, and pulled it back to force her head up, in a way that was practically choking her, while the vet very roughly checked out her foot, then goes "it's fine, just stubbed" all while giving me a dirty look.I understand being upset that a long term client is preparing to switch offices (due to consistent negligence and condensension) but to treat my dog way more aggressively than necessary because you're upset with me is disgusting and unprofessional. To also throw a fit and yell at me, while making it very clear you know you're the issue, is also absolutely insane.At first I worried that asking for the transcripts before officially finding a new vet was a bad choice, and while I'm sorry my girl had to experience the disrespect and aggression from both of them that day, I'm glad I got to see who was really caring for my animals all those years, as I had been heavily second guessing myself since that was the first vet I'd been to as the adult in charge of my animals care.Our current vet actually makes both of my animals feel safe, hears me out, and discusses what I'm seeing and how to deal with it, as opposed to brushing me off as too concerned every single visit.The only people I can say I still like from that office are the two receptionists, who were always lovely, and I hope they all do well with whatever the future may bring.

I have used their services my entire childhood they vet helped me through my cats ailments with specialized food to reduce crystals from forming during covid they helped me through my cat's passing and have always been with me through thr goods and bads

They get 0 stars from me. My husband Dave worked for them for years and Dr. Bob thought he could keep my personal family photos after David pass away from cancer. No one should trust them or their fur baby to this hospital. I never received my photos he kept them as his own and my elderly parent never received her personal belongings. He kept them all. Do not trust them ever they do not deserve your trust..

The doctor loves animals and I think that’s very important in an animal clinic. Dr. Shirtliff took my dog in last minute, was very caring and took a lot of time. He’s is a really nice person.

My dog is not easy to handle at the vet, she has fear aggression. She has to go every four weeks for an injection and the staff are always so patient and sweet with her. They are very experienced and understanding of her demeanor. I’m very grateful for them!

Absolutely awful. These are pictures from when they remove a couple of mats from my cats fur. I was never informed that he was cut multiple times and the second photo had a piece of his skin hanging. I had just noticed when I got him back home.. The doctor told me my cat had a serious kidney issue possibly kidney failure and prescribed food that didn’t help with kidney issues. Come to find out at a new hospital that my cat has a tumor in his lungs and nothing was wrong with his kidneys… They did not properly treat my cat nor found out what the true issue had been. The receptionist charged another member in my house hold for the wrong bill without informing them.. I had found out at a different day of a different appointment.. Everyone is extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. Absolutely do NOT recommend bringing your animals here. Wasted hundreds of dollars to be told misinformation and treated horribly.

I paid $438 for my visit to find out my cat is just an ahole. The wait was ridiculous. The vet we saw was nice but he didn't stay focused on the subject and talked about the most random things. They told me they would not charge me for an overnight stay but they did... I probably won't go back there.

I thought it was very clean and friendly and then Veterinary technicians were very friendly and helpful with putting the dogs in the middle of the car because I'm elderly and the dogs a little too heavy for me so they were very helpful with that

Pretty busy place even with an appointment so make sure that you have plenty of time. I brought my pup for her last shots and was there an hour and a half. They did find an ear infection and I asked them to cut her nails. Worth the wait in my opinion. Good care for my dogs through the years.

This place is great. Been going for years. They understand that people LOVE their pets and are just great all around. Having had 9 cats seen there over the years (maybe even a couple more), they realize that dealing with the costs of care can be stressful in itself. They have NEVER upsold and always have great suggestions on how to deal with care, especially in multi-animal households. They have been life savers, and always treated my animals better than I have been treated by some human doctors!!!

Dr. Bob is by far the best veterinarian doctor I have ever experienced. He took the time to explain my pet's condition in detail, provided a plan for care, and followed up on the plan. He listens to your concerns, is honest, and believes in full communication. His prices are very fair. They sell Rx food and medicines here at reasonable prices. The reception is friendly and courteous. I strongly recommend giving Dr. Bob the opportunity to meet your pet and earn your trust and loyalty.

I have been bringing my pets to Eastfield Hospital for animals for 21 years. I feel like my pets are loved and respected. The team considers them important. I feel like Dr Bob is a favored uncle I never had. I love that he really enjoys.educating his.clients Dr Barnes went way beyond what she had to do when caring for a challenging condition for my Sheltie,.Angel. I will always appreciate the compassionate care she provide my girl .

This was a real tough decision to make when we had to put my mothers beloved family dog of 15 years Nena to sleep. It was very overwhelming, of course leaving her there was the hardest part. We decided to cremate her and keep her ashes, not only was the price more than fair but receiving this for the first time dealing with this I am very satisfied with the Beautiful Urn, they even added a nice little card, some seeds to plant , a certificate with her name and one thing we Did NOT expect a paw print of our girl. Definitely such a heart warming gift after, my mother was very pleased. Thankyou so much for everything 🙏🏼❤️

Cute little hospital. The doctor is very knowledgeable and the staff is awesome. Very helpful and sympathetic. The tables that lift from the floor for easy on/off for your animal. They were awesome with my cat and dog. Fantastic service. Would recommend to anyone looking!
