You get what you pay for I guess. Dropped my dog off at 8 AM before work. Guy at the desk was nice but didn’t write anything I said down, so I assumed he remembered it. Something must’ve gotten lost in translation.Because while the body cut was fine, my god did the butcher my dogs haircut on his head. He’s a poodle and they cut off his topknot? For no reason? There was no matting. And cutting it off would be one thing, but they didn’t even cut it evenly. Super lopsided and choppy, like they used kitchen scissors. I had to even it out at home.They also did not pluck his ears, which I asked for. The inside of his ears look completely untouched in general, with the fur very clearly not washed. They don’t clean ears when they bathe them? Did he get bathed at all? He smells clean, but the ears just seem pretty dirty for having been washed. Hell, the ears don’t look touched at all, unless they just didn’t blow dry him. Which again, he’s a poodle. You’re supposed to. Who knows if they even did his anal glands like they were supposed to.I understand my dog can be wiggly. I give him trazadone to help. But this is probably the worst groom he’s ever had. I can’t look at his little flat head without laughing. It’ll grow back, so no real harm done, but I won’t be coming back most likely. $58 is a bang up price, but I probably should’ve asked why 💀Photos are before I evened out his lopsided hair.Edit: Also, now that I think about it, they didn't ask for any vaccine history. That's a little bit unnerving.

Tom was a godsend when it came to our new puppy and getting him training. Tom was informative, patient, and did wonders with our new pup. We could not believe the difference in our dog after just three days there with Tom. Priceless service that really changed our new dogs behavior.

Great place , Great Service, the one thing I can say is when we got a dog back there were maybe 6 , 7 or 8 spots that were sticking out pretty heavily where it was longer than the rest of the dog's hair. This is my first time getting a 20 l yes good

Love this place! Everyone is super helpful and friendly. Great food and treat selection. Bonus that they do a quick and stress free nail trim on my pug who is usually difficult to work with.

Took my dogs here three times mediocre grooming each time. Last time I called scheduled for a bath only. I brought my dogs and said I would like them to get a bath only no haircut with teeth brushing. Per their pricing written on their white board when you walk in bath is 25 teeth cleaning is 13. When I went to pick up my dogs, I was charge 68 each for two dogs less than 14 lbs. I was told this was because they never do just a bath and teeth cleaning. They always trim up the face. Not sure why it’s advertised or that wasn’t clarified when I told them what I wanted. Doesn’t appear their faces were trimmed up. Not surehow I got scammed into paying $68 each. Wish I spoke up more. I will not be coming back here again.

I’ve been going here for about 2 years now. Every time, regardless of what Havana looks like when I drop him off, he is happier and much cuter. They do a really nice job doing things in a timely manner as well. I recommend booking recurring appointments.

I don’t usually bring my dog to the groomers, but I had a recent knee surgery and I needed the help. Both of my dogs came back looking wonderful.One is a hound rescue & super anxious. The other is a spaniel and tough to deal with his whining. Weymouth Dog Shop was professional and got the job done. The dogs look great. The nails were trimmed, teeth cleaned, definitely worth the money spent.

This place is great. I emailed a couple days ago to make sure they cut dog nails. He replied back within a day. Even better the price was only ten dollars. They also accept walk in’s. When we pulled up the buildings and parking lot are painted in all different cool colors. My dog didn’t want to go in he was so scared and nervous. I had to pick him up and bring him in. Once we got inside he calmed down a little. The guy was gentle and very nice to my dog. He quickly trimmed his nails without issue. We bought him a treat, paid for the trim and left. There was plenty of room for parking. They seem to be building some sort of large kennel type area in the back. Not sure what it’s going to be but I’m sure it’s going to be awesome. I will definitely be going back for his next trim and would recommend others give them a try as well.

Never coming here again. I took my puppy here and they said they do don’t do puppy haircuts the same as an adult. I said ok. When I got my dog back they literally didn’t do anything. Charged me $50 for a bandanna over her neck… Scammers

Absolute best dog shop, groomer, daycare, pet supplies etc you'll ever find. The staff are very well trained. I've been a loyal for 6 generations of dogs. My dogs were all skittish at first but quickly they became excited to go inside and see their friends (staff). I would call them the pet whisperers. I recommend them to everyone. I use to struggle trying to cut my dog's nails but now I don't even try. My dog runs right inside and behind the counter yelling mani Pedi day!! I'm not kidding either.

Had my 14 month old lab boarded for 5 days with 3 days of training. She was already fairly well trained but needed some refinement on distraction training. Tom did a fantastic job setting up the baseline with my dog and also 'trained' my wife and I on what not to do. We will definitely be bringing our dog back for daycare and boarding in the future.

Tom is great! We have been bringing our dog here for grooming since we got him 9 months ago. He loves going! The staff are always friendly and helpful. They carry a wide variety foods, treats, toys, and more. We have been buying our dogs food here for most of the time we've had him as well since they're one of a few places that carry the brand we love. Highly recommend Weymouth Dog Shop for all your pet needs!!

Took my golden retriever Lucy there for grooming again today! She looks fabulous!! They do an unbelievable job with her, taking the time to get all of the extra shedding fur. As always, very happy with their service!!

My review is more for training although he did come home smelling good! Tom is absolutely the best. I got daily emails and was so glad to hear my dog was lovable with him. It made my time away from him a little easier! Im shocked at how changed I see my boys behavior is after one night home!! I haven't opened my blinds in months because if my dog saw any action outside he went bezerk!! My blinds are OPEN! He barked 1x and I pulled his collar said NO and that's all it took. I'm amazed how i told him to sit he not only sat but he STAYED until I gave him the magic word!! I love his honesty that he does his work but you HAVE to do yours at home!!! Like I said its only been I night and I'll review again after my last visit. I highly recommend Tom at the WEYMOUTH DOG SHOP

Love the outdoor space and that my pup is out playing during the day. Comforting knowing there's staff onsite all night, in case of anything. And my furbaby isn't crying to come home when I pick her up. Plus the staff is caring and able to give me a verbal report of her behavior & eating habits while in their care.

Best day care and kennel on the south shore! My dog has gone here for 14 years and loves it she goes every weekday for daycare and stays over every vacation we take! She loves it and we love it! Super clean and awesome staff!

So I’ve been here twice with my Olde English Bulldogge Jax. Both times, I paid $42 or whatever, and they didn’t clean an entire ear and the first time they skipped a bunch of his nails. Jax is a short haired dog, so I suppose they could have not even washed him! The handkerchief tied around his neck was drenched in perfume to pass my dog off as clean. I see why I was able to make a same-day appointment on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. I gave 3 stars because idk how the rating system works and the store itself and the employees are very nice, just the actual grooming.... I personally will not be returning.

Found this gem after googling a nearby place to bring my almost 16 year old rat terrier. Called ahead to make the appointment and met a really nice gentleman at the counter who took Charley quite promptly from me - very little wait and off Charley went for a bath and nail trim. I was gone about an hour running some local errands and came back for him to be really satisfied and happy. The true trick was getting home and seeing if I heard his tap-tap-tap toenails on my wooden floors which has been keeping me up at night - nope! Silent as can be! Great price; excellent service - he smells and looks great! Thanks for the handkerchief! :D

After using Weymouth Dog Shop for 3x's - I feel I have enough experience to write a review about this business.It's difficult to being my review with the sentence "If you are looking for a reasonably priced ..." because each time I've taken my dog to this groomer the priced increased by $10.00 each additional time. My first visit began at $55 (which I find reasonable and competitive) then the next at $65 and ... well you can do the math. When asked about the pricing; I received the following answer "Well - he's a lot of work". Which I agree; but they should have known this when I first talked to them on the phone.Which now leads me to the phone issue. Sadly it is extremely difficult to get a person on the phone without constant calling (and I mean redial back to back). If you leave a message, the call never gets returned.Otherwise - getting past the pricing inconsistencies and lack of contact; ultimately they have done an exceptional job on my white Alaskan Husky; unlike other competitors - my dog comes back fully brushed out and dry.

I guess if your not concerned about them washing and grooming in your presence it's the place to go. How they treat your companion might be of concern. Was told insurance policy doesn't allow participation, I guess watching is out.

After moving to Massachusetts a few years ago, I didn't think I'd ever find a decent place to board my dog. The final straw was taking him to a place here on the South Shore that turned out to be a real disaster--brought my dog home and he was a mess, frightened, sick. Then I was given a recommendation of Doggieritaville, and I've never regretted taking him there. So glad I found this fun place for dogs! He's been a boarder 6 times, and he's always come home feeling fine. He even seems to get some training. 5 woofs from us!
