This place has a little bit of everything. Great store with wonderful employees. We have visited many times for the donuts..oh they are delicious. Today we decided on the ice cream. Very good, several different flavors with a take out window. There is places to sit outside and enjoy your treat. Bonus Westport river across the street if you decide to go kayaking. Will definitely visit again ☺️

This general store now carries gluten-free items, in particular, cookies on the end cap when you walk in the door. They have organic coffee ☕ and a variety of teas. They make the tastiest donuts from scratch and muffins, too! 😋 Freshly made donuts are made Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. They get there at 4:30 in the morning to make the donuts. They also have huge cupcakes covered in a cake saver. They look like HUGE Hostess cupcakes! Call ahead and place your order. I'm not kidding. A lot of people do it.

Finally made it here for donuts and it was well worth it. They are beautiful and fresh and bring you happiness in every bite. The glazed were very special. Lots of good essentials and coffee too. Go get the donuts!

Used to be much better.... what happened?! Donuts are way more expensive and don't taste as good. Ex: the blueberry donuts are literally purple inside, way to much artificial flavor/dye. Tried calling to see how many donuts they still had one day and was put on hold for 20 minutes, they never came back to the phone and I could hear them in the background. Not the friendliest people.

What a great little gem. It's a combination coffee house, throwback general store, ice cream shop, and part time donut vendor.Local eggs and milk are available, and the muffins are always fresh. My favorite is the pistachio.

I was staying at my sisters house in little Compton and she highly recommended stopping by for donuts and told me to go early when they are still warm. The store is quaint and has small town charm. There was racks of donuts still cooling and dripping with warm glaze behind the counter. I was overwhelmed with the assortment so I order a dozen, dealers choice. Let me say these are the best donuts I have ever eaten and I ate 5 of them 😧. The French cruller was flaky and sweet with pockets of air, the Boston cream had a thick chocolate glaze that was heavenly and the plain glazed cake donuts were moist and light. I have 2 things that I don’t like about donuts. 1. Cake donuts that are dry and crumbly and 2. Donuts that leave a greasy feel to my mouth; these donuts were neither. As an amateur baker I give them 2 thumbs way up.

A cute little town shop type deal. They have a lot of fun little things as well as the essentials. What really sets them apart are the ice cream counter and the donut setup they have. I've never seen them making donuts, but they have all the equipment behind the counter. If I go here it's for ice cream or their wide array of candy. The ice cream counter has a window for placing your order while remaining outside. The lawn for the business serves as a spot you can eat your ice cream if you choose, and it includes picnic tables, chairs, and swinging benches, many of which are directly overlooking the Westport River which flows alongside the business.

Great experience. We came looking for ice cream and we left having eaten hot dogs, a grill cheese, and good size portions of ice cream. The only thing I can say is it took a little bit longer than I would have hoped for the food to be ready. Overall, it was a pleasant surprise.

This cute store is a staple for us. They have delicious donuts nice and Fresh Thursday - Sunday, ice cream all year long, and of course any convenience items you may need! They also sell hot brewed coffee, and have a few grab and go breakfast items. The grounds are beautiful to enjoy especially in the summer.

Went for the first time, last Thursday night, about 20 mins before closing. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and didn’t rush us even as it got closer to closing. Ordered a regular Sundae and was totally jazzed! Hot fudge, nuts, cherry, and whipped cream a plenty!! Not to mention the Coffee Oreo Cookie ice cream was deeee-lish! Will definitely be back when we’ve got more time to check out everything in the country store. Best little find of the Summer!

I love little local convenience stores like these. This store is a lively charm to the historic village of Town Landing that draws me back every time. About once a week a take a nice long walk down Reed Road from my house in Dartmouth to this store. Its good exercise and walking past old Colonial and Victorian homes the closer I get to the village is such a great experience and adds a certain nostalgic feeling of walking back in time.The store has been in continuous use for a long time by the old, black and white photographs on the walls in the interior of the store. They offer a good variety of small commercial goods such as canned soups and corn beef and hash along, bags of chips, quick meds to sooth that headache you may have gotten but to lazy to go to the pharmacy or big box stores, and large selection of drinks and newspapers, lottery/scratch tickets.What makes the store stand out from others is it year round offer of ice cream, I especially love their pumpkin ice cream. They have fresh brewed coffee and baked pastries like muffins and cinnamon twists plus homemade donuts. They even offer frozen Dell's Lemonade.After usually getting a drink(most likely a Nantucket Nectar) and some ice cream, especially in the summer time, I sit outside in their beautiful grassy lot with shaded white picnic tables and I sit at the benches near the river, shaded by the trees and watching the water flow by before walking back home before the sun sets.If you are ever in the area, I recommend stopping here either to grab a snack to eat or just to relax. The surrounding area has lots of hiking trails and conservation forests geared towards hikers, campers and photographers alike.

This is a great place. Went with a small group, we were site seeing . The Ice Cream here is incredible, every body loved it. The best part of all, they sell ZAGNUT BARS. Haven't seen those in years. They were incredibly fresh. I bought four, I should have bought more. Will be back.

One of the best kept secrets of Westport. This is a very nice store with a friendly staff and great service. They offer excellent hot dogs and ice cream plus other delicious food items.

Amazing Coney Island hot dogs, candy counter, ice cream, and the best old school donuts and other baked treats around. The Head Store is great, sit on the river and relax while enjoying your ice cream in the summer, stop in for a coffee and donuts in the winter.

A hidden gem to other than locals and returning out of state summer residents!Our group of friends from playing basketball and tennis still get together Fridays and discuss great places and their "treats".Our latest discovery is The Head of Westport Country Store! New to us but not to those in the know!Their famous donuts are only available Thursday thru Sunday and often sell out by 11am so get there early!Carol was on when I visited and she was very gracious.Definitely worth the trip!

Employees have aggro attitude they shut down and cleaned dels lemonade machine 2.5 hours before closing so I couldn't get one and I specifically stopped there to get one.the donuts & ice cream are worth it though they are very good

Stopped in on our way home for a donut. None to be had. "Only Thursday through Sunday," said the clerk. "There's a sign here and on the wall over there." Not very friendly at all. Only one other customer in the place. We were not welcome. So we will not be back. We like friendly, respectful service.
