The Rustic Dog is awesome! We sent our dog Paisley there for boarding and daycare for the past 3 years before moving out of state. Dave was tremendously helpful when we first adopted her. She was very skittish and we had quite a bit of difficulty before enlisting his help. He helped us get her acclimated to her new home and was even honest with us when it seemed that she wasn't enjoying her time at daycare, as he really wanted what was best for her. After a few weeks, she loved it so much we ended up sending her twice a week and for boarding! She would come home from daycare completely exhausted and she greatly enjoyed her time there. They are always very responsive with requests and keeping us up to date when Paisley was boarded. They are also extremely safe and responsible when handling dogs, and I never had to worry when she was in their care. I would one thousand times recommend The Rustic Dog (and I do to anyone I know), not only for their professionalism and clear knowledge of dogs/dog behavior, but they loved and treated Paisley as if she was their own. We will miss The Rustic Dog greatly!

Couldn't ask for a better place to take care of your dog! We own an Australian Shepherd with high energy, and she would come home from daycare EXHAUSTED (and a bit dirty!!) but would be sleeping all night and be lazy most of the next day. There are few people I would trust to care for our dog other than Dave. Only reason we stopped going was due to a move far away. Other "daycares" do not compare. You are incredibly fortunate to get a spot at The Rustic Dog! We will probably make the trek to have Dave (and family) care for our dog for any trips we take in the future.

My puppies have been going there since they were old enough. They are well behaved and walk on leash like a dream. They listen to commands with ease. I absolutely love bringing my dogs here. Dave always fills me in on how their day went and cares about my dogs like we do.

One of the best retreats that my dog has been to. Love the laid back, family feel they offer here. A must for your dog. The only place I know my dog will get a vacation while I am on one!
