Very helpful & friendly staffSpecial shout-out to Shawn, she went above and beyond helping my mother a couple weeks ago. My mother came in to replace the battery in her remote garage door opener. Shawn took the time to open the fiddly little compartment and replace the battery for her (not easy, I've done it before), a level of service that can't be found at the Lowe's that's right around the corner from my mother's retirement community. Sometimes I wonder why my mother always wants to check the small Ace Hardware first for things that they may or may not have when we know the giant Lowe's will definitely have it, but then I remember things like this story and I completely understand. Lowe's has more products and can most likely guarantee it has what you are looking for, but can't guarantee it has a helpful staff to answer questions or provide personal service. Ace is small and may not have exactly what you're looking for every time, but you will always find lots of helpful people that you don't have to chase down who will take the time to talk to you and answer every question - and they might even replace your battery for you.

Recently purchased a Weber grill on-line from Ace Westborough. Start to finish a great experience. The staff was excellent and delivered the grill within 24 hours and hauled away the old one. Highly recommend shopping this business. Thanks 👍🏼

This is a great hardware store thats well stocked and always has what I need. Friendly knowledgeable staff that helps you as soon as you walk in, you're not walking for miles trying to find something or looking for help. They must train thier staff very well because there's a lot of young kids that work there that are super polite and know thier stuff. Ace hardware feels like the old fashioned local hardware store and not a chain.

Local hardware store with most of what you would need lots of specialty screws and bolt sizes. Convenient to get to and east parking. The staff is always helpful here as well. In addition I purchased my Weber grill from them.

My go to small hardware shop for most of my basic needs. A good selection, helpful staff, and a great location make it perfect for most trips where you don't want to get lost looking for a bolt or something in one of the big box places. Support smaller businesses!

Paint department guys are great, knowledgeable and don't push you to buy the most expensive item if it's not going to work for your exact needs. They have everything you need, plus things you didn't realize you needed!Also, last visit, I casually asked about a specific product that I could not find anywhere locally and they were able to get it for me, and it happened to make it on the next days shipments!If they don't know the right answer, they will get another employee to help, so be patient, because sometimes you have a wait a few minutes to get the right help.. but it's so much better than a big box store where they pretend they know what they are talking about.

Do not go to this store, they lied to me saying i could get a key online they would cut, and now that I did they won't. Horrible experience. After making me go to the store 3 times to find the person who had told me he'd cut the key for me, he kept repeating "i can't accommodate you", blaming it in a misunderstanding...even if it truly was a misunderstanding, he had no interest on feeling my pain... Even if a misunderstanding he owns at least 50% of the fault and he had no interest in owning that, "not going to accommodate you, that's not going to change". Things in this store are much more expensive than else where and i would go here just because of the people, experience. If they're going to treat me this way, what's the value, i rather go to home depot and get the same treatment and save a lot of money. Don't go there!Update: just went to another key place, they told me I don't need a chipped key, they sold me the chipless key and cut it got $6 total, ACE told me I needed a chipped key, and all would cost me $125.... Lies!

Westborough Ace provides a level of customer service that you just don't get at a big box DIY retailer.I went grill shopping and stopped at several places. Ace was the ONLY store where I felt the staff really knew their products and could help me pick the right setup for my grilling style.Thank you Ace!

Helpful, friendly employees. The main checkout is in the center of the store which is a bit confusing as the paint counter is right by the front door - and an employee at the main register can't easily see you if you happen to be standing at paint, waiting to pay. Good selection of products.

Went here today for cabinet paint. I believe the guy who helped me was named Joe. He was extremely knowledgeable both on the phone and person about their fine line of Benjamin Moore paints. I will definitely be back

Very organized, clean store. Very helpful staff. We came to get a Christmas tree stand and snagged the last one. This is a nice local hardware store and you can skip the chaos at Lowe's or Home Depot.

I always try to shop local when I can and I've never had a problem at this location. I always receive friendly assistance from all of the employees.P.S. Dave, most retailers can offer lower prices online because of lower overhead costs associated with retail space and staffing. It's common everywhere to have lower prices online than in a brick and mortal store.

I shopped there this afternoon, minutes after I walked in a friendly employee asked if he could help. I told him what I needed and he walked me over to where the item was and even explained the differences in the products they had. I will definitely be going back there!
