We had such a fun stay last August! We booked when the motel had only 1 or 2 reviews, so we didn't know what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised. The rooms look EXACTLY as pictured online - clean, updated, and stylish. They were also very quiet, we didn't hear any of our neighbors. The motel is in a great location, easy to get to lots of restaurants and different beaches, with the option to borrow bikes if you'd like. Parking was plentiful and the staff were kind and attentive. The amenities were also great, we made use of the pool and the hot tub, both of which were never crowded. Make sure you get a drink at the bar, they were delicious and appropriately priced. Overall, we had a great time and will certainly be back!

Family friendly and fun little spot in the cape. The rooms were a little darker than expected but the modern nautical decor was a great touch. My only comment would be better pillows and to make sure to restock the bathroom supplies. They offer fire pits, pool and corn hole. Drinks and flat bread pizza on site for purchase and the service staff was friendly. They also have cute beach bikes to use around town. Definitely would stay again. Great for a quick stop in the cape.Rooms: Rooms were new and decor was great.Nearby activities: Parks, mini golf, dining, shops, beaches all close bySafety: Felt safeWalkability: Very close to many restaurants. We loved the Freebird Motor Lodge. It's located in the perfect area in Cape Cod. Easy access to take the ferries to Nantucket or Martha's vineyard. The rooms are nice and very clean. Bathroom was a little small but not a big problem. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We loved the vibe and fun atmosphere. Wish the weather had been nice enough to enjoy the pool area.

This hotel was great I enjoyed a lot a few flaws but I guess a they just reopen they still have time to do a few changes! The beds are great very comfortable. The bedroom overall was very cute and cozy ! The only problem was that pool are not enough lounge chairs for all the guest staying at the hotel we were told that they had more chairs coming fe another location which never happened, as well jacuzzi was always full of kids I wish they had a age requirement that would make it easier for adults! The bar and the bartenders were great drinks are delicious very well made! Right next to the pool which was a plus! Will possibly come back again!Food & drinks: The bar has full service also drinks are very good enjoyed the service staff is very attentive!

This place was so cute! We stayed for two nights as a family of four. The rooms were super clean and well thought out. The staff was lovely, rates were totally reasonable (we saved $365 by changing our reservation from another hotel). Location is convenient mid-Cape. My kids loved the pool and bikes that were complimentary to borrow. Fire pits and cornhole set were a plus!

We stayed here with short notice and without much research and was pleasantly surprised! It was my birthday and my girlfriend had called to see if they could do something and when we arrived they had set the room up with balloons and cupcakes. The room was spotless- the pool was beautiful and pretty warm! The cornhole made for night time fun. Overall great experience will definitely book again if in the area!

We booked this place knowing it just opened recently. When we arrived, it was not a lot of people here staying here. We had high hope for this since it is brand new. The pool and facility itself are nice .The room is ok but not as clean. The table was visible dirty and I found some bread crumb as well as other things on the carpet. The shampoo, conditioner and body wash smell more like men cologne. Also I couldn’t find any info about amenities before coming. Overall it is definitely nicer than a lot of other places near by.

My husband and I had a two night stay booked over Labor Day weekend. I booked directly with the resort. I understood the cancellation policies, however we had a sudden death in the family and sadly had to cancel our stay. I canceled with 48 hours and I do understand that the policy is 72 hours. My issue is I emailed the resort as soon as I canceled and asked kindly if we would just be able to receive a resort credit for a one night stay. I wasn't looking to be refunded, just simply for some compassion and for a credit for 1 night to use in the future, as we really wanted to experience the motel. I emailed twice, with no response. We also called and were told to put "att. Sales Manager" in the subject line which we did. I reached out on social media. No response from anyone. I am a local Travel Advisor and due to the resort not even responding I would not send clients here in case of any issues where I would need to reach out to the resort. At least have the decency to respond, even if you aren't able to accomodate my requests.

We are half way through our stay here and couldn’t be happier with the accommodations. I’m surprised the place isn’t busier, the staff stated they closed the place (formerly Hunter Green) last fall and began making upgrades before reopening under the new name Freebird a couple weeks ago.They spared no expense. Everything is brand new here. The rooms are immaculate, friendly staff, super comfy beds and bedding. Great pool, love the music everywhere on the property. The overall vibe is awesome. It will be a matter of time before word gets out and the place is packed. Don’t miss out. Congratulations to the ownership and your future success. Honestly, we booked a room here last second Saturday night (7/1) & stayed until the 4th and the reception, room, & atmosphere was amazing! There was ample enough room parking wise, they had a little hangout area at the end of the lot followed with cornhole for parties of people trying to kick back and have fun outside their rooms. They also had 2 firepits accompanied by chairs along it for nights by the fire with your group of friends/family or with the other guests! They also had a pool, which was open 9-9, with lots of space for large quantities of people, as well as a food/beer truck right on the premises aside the pool open 3-10 daily, I believe.The lodge also offers bikes for guests as well if you wish to bike around the Cod!The room was impeccable and very clean! The receptionists did mention it was redone 2 weeks ago as well! We had the king room with a nice flat-screen TV mounted right across the bed, very nice for movie nights if you want to kick back and relax after a long day of venturing. Me and the missus had amazing nights staying at this lodge, I'd highly recommend you stop by and stay here if you plan on visiting the area for a while!

Fantastic place to stay! Everything was newly renovated & super clean, really fun atmosphere with a kind of classic rock theme throughout. Funky decor, really comfortable rooms with all-new everything and large smart TVs.Indoor/outdoor pool and lounge area is a definite highlight, with a little plaza with everything from ice cream, late night food, package store & coffee shop all within a one or two minute walk! Easy to get to beaches or downtown for plenty of restaurants too, great location. Great Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi 6 is apparently a thing now!?) and wireless phone charging built into the alarm clock.Highly recommended, great value compared to some of the other places we’ve stayed at on the Cape.Nearby activities: Right near restaurants & entertainment. Walkable activities nearby and a short drive into downtown Hyannis or ocean and beaches.Walkability: While this is off of a busier road, there’s a sidewalk right in front of the building that goes by multiple food options, coffee, ice cream & more. Families who want to go to the inflatable park can probably walk there without any issues (it’s across the street from the nearest ice cream place).

Stayed early July 2023. Our room had at least 2 cockroaches and A LOT of ants. We ended up not changing hotels cuz my partner convinced me to since nothing was available in our price range nearby. We spent only 2 days and took precautions to secure ourselves and our stuff. You can see they put effort into the property but lacked effort in sanitization. It’s very aesthetically pleasing and stylish but I really hope this review will encourage the owners to do something about roaches. As someone who works in hospitality, I know it’s possible, and it’s sad they didn’t bother to fix it before opening a NEW facility.

My kids and I were supposed to go home but I decided to surprise them with a night in a different hotel. I loved everything about Freebird, except for the “no outside food and beverages” rule at the pool. There is a bar here, and they do serve flatbreads but not until 3pm. Other places we’ve stayed allow outside food and drink as well as have other food options for lunch and dinner. My kids could spend all day at the pool so having to leave for lunch (or even dinner bc not everyone likes flatbreads), and then come back, can be such a hassle. As a getaway for just me or me and my significant other, it wouldn’t be an issue however.

I brought my girlfriend to the Cape, specifically this inn, for her birthday and to forget about her up-coming chemo treatment, but when she left my side to sit by the pool she was verbally assaulted at length by another pool “guest” because she did not agree with his behavior around the children in the pool. The police were called to the scene and eventually the police escorted the “guest” away from the area but we later found out the “guest” simply moved on to the shopping plaza a mile up the road which made her feel unsafe for the remainder of our stay. When I returned to her side and later questioned management about the situation it was suggested that the situation needed to be handled delicately because of the “guest’s” publicly self-announced sexual orientation meaning the “guest’s” security was more important than my girlfriend’s because of his sexual preference. There was no protection for my girlfriend and I don’t want to imagine what would have happened if this “guest” approached a different couple or even a child. Even a life guard with some backbone would have been nice. Let’s keep our families safe!

FREEBIRD!!!!Yes, it has a musical motif.It has VERY comfy beds!!! A must for me!Rooms are nicely decorated. The water pressure is good and strong especially after a day in the ocean and sand.It isn't really walkable to any place of interest BUT, it is nicely located for driving to Yarannis, Provincetown, Chatham and the launches for Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard.It has a nice pool and hot tub and an adult beverage and food trailer.We stayed for four (4) nights. Checked in Saturday checked out Wednesday.Staff is friendly and helpful.Should we come back to the Cape Cod area we will DEFINITELY be staying at Freebird again!Rooms: VERY COMFY! Great sheets!Nearby activities: Pretty much centrally located for driving places.

This is a great place to stay on the cape! Close to restaurants, a Dunkin’, the beach, and the ferries in Hyannis! It’s clean, comfortable, and staff is kind and helpful! We loved the food truck/bar and the fire pits!Rooms: Clean and quiet!
