Love the Dollar General in Pawling, NY...staff is so friendly and helpful...not the case at West Yarmouth, MA. Cashier that checked me out very unfriendly. ☹️

When they opened up until 2020, best staff ever. The manager was top notch. So friendly and very accommodating. Great deals. Our quick go to place.Update: 2021, store has gone to the dogs. Barren shelves. Stacked boxes waiting to be stocked. Out of most food items today. Staff was absent. Finally ASKED the guy behind the counter if he would mind checking me out. He just stood there and said nothing. No mask on. No greeting. This once wonderful store is now a disgrace. I miss the old manager.

I have had nothing but a great experience with this store, each time I have been there. A wide variety of items & good prices, especially when a sale is on! This store is also clean. Important, b/c when you’re in a store that is dirty, dingy & in disarray, you just want to leave it, over shop it.The employees are very helpful & friendly. And can’t say enough about the manager, Mark, who has gone above & beyond, for customer satisfaction, multiple times. He’s always been patient & kind towards his employees when they have had questions or problems, explaining everything well, so both they & the customer, understood fully.I know when I go, or call, I’m going to be treated well & encounter smiling, friendly, helpful staff.I always look forward to shopping there. Especially when I want something Spiritually uplifting/God centered, as they carry a good selection of wall hangings, with a wonderful message. A great place to find that perfect gift that will last a long time, bringing comfort, hope & assurance to someone who may need it, or a knowing smile, to someone who just loves the Lord.

The store in West Yarmouth is amazing! They have the best staff I have ever seen. From the time you walk in the door, you are met with smiles and hellos! Mark is an amazing Manager! His staff is definitely a reflection of him and the great job he does. Management should be happy to have such a great store that is ran the way it should be.

The manager Marc is so helpful. He makes the shopping experience much easier by being available to help you in anyway possible. There was also 2 other employees who have shown excellent customer service their names are Nicole and Kendra. Hope they know the company recognizes how good these employees are at their jobs. Great environment.

This store is a disaster!!you would actually make more money if customers could get down every aisle! Aisles are closed down filled with carriages of miscellaneous merchandise ! So sad because the manager seemed to have had such high hopes of getting this store organized ☹️ Shame on corporate managers who don’t give these store managers more support!!

My first and last time. I was so annoyed that I forgot to take pictures. As soon as you walked into the store there was no one to greet you. Also the line was very long and hard to distinguish between the line and all the piled up surplus they had to restock the shelves. Every corner you turnt the items were either misplaced on other shelves, the clothing or items on the floor, and even to the point boxes were stacked up on wheeled carriers which could have moved and knocked a child over or injured an adult. The place was junky. You had no where to walk and there was no help. The only person I seen was one lady with a black shirt on that had dollar general in letter writing. She was just walking around from isle to isle and no she wasn't a security officer. I waited on line for almost 30 minutes. If my daughter didn't need the items I would not have stayed or shopped at Dollar General. That was a bad impression for a first impression. I really look at the establishment differently. If your shirt staff you have a responsibility to make the store a safe place to shop. The merchandise should not be thrown all over the floor or found in different areas of the store where they are not located; this represents poor management. Thank you, I will not shop at this establishment it shows me that you are not clean and the products are not clean. It shows me that my health or other consumer's health doesn't matter and the Pandemic is real whether you have the shot; doesn't protect from all strands and that applies for this who don't have the shot. Dollar General puts you more at risk for getting sick. Shut down for a day and get that store in order it has a lot of potential to be a successful essential establishment.

Went to buy a birthday card and bag. Store was filthy couldn't get down the aisle. Was having a conversation with the cashier when the manager Who identified herself as Gail came over and rudely interrupted me. If she is the manager, she should be fired for running such a filthy store. Her customer service is horrific.

Store was a complete disaster things where everywhere was very unorganized had to dig through things to find what I needed and the cashier was very rude and disrespectful. Kept saying she just wanted to go home and why did I have to come so late, in a rush to throw things of mine around thankfully I didn't buy breakable stuff she was to energized like she was on something.

It's disorganized and disheveled most of the time, but it's still full of bargains! The staff is ok. Not bad, not great, not really good, just ok. In fairness, they are still in there every day interacting with large numbers of people during a global pandemic for not a ton of money. So they get a pass.

A wide selection and great location doesn't hide the shortcomings. I'm a person that hates "dollar" in a store's name, when it's not an actual dollar store. Beyond that, I'm a comparison shopper and there are many items that are cheaper elsewhere. Not just similar, the exact same item. There are a couple of associates that I've seen and experienced acting very unprofessional. That said, there are a couple of helpful associates that I genuinely enjoy going when they work. It is convenient for that part of Yarmouth and carries some things I can't even find anywhere else, so I do shop there occasionally. It's an average store with an average shopping experience.

Very messy store stock to be put out is all over and blocking aeras. Need more lighting seems to be dark in there. Some isles you can’t even walk down. Should be checked out very soon by a district manager!!

The employees here are not very friendly, and there are always giant carts of merchandise blocking the isles. It's very hard to shop at this location. But overall I really like Dollar General. Just this store is lacking organization and good help.

Well not as inexpensive as the dollar store but you have definitely heard of the brands before. They have all the nessesities of life and a few of the luxuries you may need. From hats and gloves to mops and detergent. Food and junk food. It's all there and priced at least 15% lower than the supermarket or department store.

Some great deals but be careful to read the quantity amounts. They are very tricky. A lot of items looking like the original but with half the contents as them. So yes great deals but make sure to read the box

I went to Dollar General in West Yarmouth today for the first time, now I know what everyone's been talking about.The store was surprisingly very clean considering that it's a small store and there's a lot of good stuff there.Other than meats and fresh vegetables they have everything popular that the big markets have as well as a lot of things that the box stores have, the big difference is the prices, much less money than those other stores.I will be going back.

Great quick place to pick up things like milk and bread on way home But has many other items like a mini grocery store for the item you forgot to get Or oops !Toddler needs more pull ups , or that card or last minute gift at reasonable cost . Open till 10 pm so its open when others are closed when I have a long work day. Surpriseng variets an compact place so you don't have to walk a milein store to grab the milk or item you need.

This is the second time I have called, and asked for ramen pringles. This location was 30 minutes out of the way from my location, but I called and an employee said they had ramen pringles, so I went anyways. When I arrived after being told that the pringles were in stock, I was told once at the store that they never had them at all. I have had the same experience once before. Terrible place, not well kept, never coming back again.

I went one day, this past fall, and I was using my phone to send a text message. I had been asked by someone who was home and not feeling well, if I would stop in to pick up some soda. The store happened to have a big soda display just outside the door that was on special..yes outside the store... I was texting the types of soda so that my friend who was home sick in bed, could tell me which to buy. Yes texting. TEXTING....I should not have to explain to anyone, who I was texting, and why....anyway, I was stopped by an irrate and screaming man working for Dollar General, and he was SCREAMING at me and SCREAMING...he wanted to know why I felt it necessary to take a photo of him smoking a cigarette ....omg... I was clearly texting. TEXTING. Also, he wasn't anywhere near me, or the soda, and I never saw him or his cigarette until he came over screaming and he screamed "I am calling the police."This couldn't be any more bizarre. I left.This was so far beyond insanity. I wasn't even inside the store !!!!!!! On top of that, has anyone ever heard of not allowing texting when you're shopping ????? I wasn't even in the store !!!!!! reasonable customer service is non-existent at this store. I didn't even see him smoking, and I could have cared less if he did smoke a cigarette. Maybe the smoke has finally fried his brain. I will never return, and will spend my money elsewhere, and at businesses who would encourage assisting a customer to make a selection for purchase.... but it won't be here. Many other stores encourage cell phone use by customers and even provide Wi-Fi. I never heard of anything like this.

Staff is friendly, it's kind of cramped, but they have just about everything, and cheaper than most other places in the area. Conveniently located as well. I shop here once a week, at least.
