As we were driving towards West Stockbridge we came across this fabulous bookstore! Shaker Mill Books has an excellent selection of new, used and rare books with wonderful sitting areas as well as a lovely outdoor patio. We fell in love with this wonderful bookstore that has so many nooks snd unique rooms with comfortable chairs that we might return soon just to continue to browse!

I love love love this place! My family and I just stumbled upon it today by chance and we honestly could have spent all day there. The selection of books isn’t just ample, it’s amazingly well curated! A glance at every shelf and nook and cranny brings to your eye a book that you’ve just gotta have! The staff were all super friendly and the prices reasonable. There’s plenty of comfy chairs to sit on, and the store is full of fun and whimsical arrangements of books, too. It’s just pretty much the perfect bookshop. I can’t wait to go back!

Incredible bookstore!!! We were visiting from NJ and frequent our local thrift stores/library sales for secondhand books, but Shaker Mill Books has been our favorite used book source by far. Everything was in excellent condition with very fair pricing. The store itself was charming, well-organized, and enjoyable just to walk around and browse in. We will be back on our next trip!

Such a sweet little bookstore. Very well curated- a mix of new and gently used or vintage books. A lot of the books I saw were on sale, which was exciting. There’s definitely something for everyone. They also have these amazing framed pictures of vintage book spines which make awesome gifts. The woman working the counter was as sweet as could be.

I have never seen books compiled as art in such creative and inspiring fashion. We were simply passing through on vacation and ran into this store by accident. We stayed for two hours and Eric gave us a tour thru his new Shaker Mill barn -- four stories of collectible books displayed with inteligent creativity. The historic barn itself is worth a long drive.

Amazing collection of rare and unique books (beyond the regularly NY Times best readers + more casual reading that they carry). I come here for high end rare signed photography books, history books, first editions, rare books, and much more. My favorite room is the one by the cash register and to the left of it. Always a pleasant and intriguing experience finding something new and interesting to take home and enjoy.

This is one of, if not my favorite, bookstore because of it's affordable prices, wide selection, and cozy atmosphere. Every time I have entered its doors I go in with the intention to explore and end up buying several books. I highly recommend it!

This bookstore is beautifully arranged and has a lighthearted atmosphere. The open doors and windows looking over the river and trees are lovely. The next door barn is a fascinating book themed curiosity.

The business hours posted on google (and the front door) are incorrect. Don't be fooled by open doors and books outside - they are closed. Don't be dumb like me and drive from far away to visit. You will be politely told to leave.
