We purchased our beautiful rotty puppy from here. Everything was fine for the first 3-4 months than she started having joint problems and than developed a fluid filled cyst on her elbow. We took her to the vet immediately the vet drained the cyst and was doing well now it's back 4 months later so she will need surgery again all the experts we talked believe she came from a puppy mill and now has genetic joint muscle and bone problems and she might not live to be 5. We love our baby girl and will give her the best life we can. Please be careful with places like this though it is tempting due to the cuteness of these precious babies you do not know where they came from and the problems that will break your heart.

We stopped in on a whim looking around for a certain breed and when we seen that there was exactly what we were looking for we asked to see him! After 10 seconds we knew he was going home with us, the staff there was great with him and all the puppies that I seen them handle, the day we were there the place was packed with people and everbody seemed really pleased with all staff plus the puppies were happy and clean!! We have brought our pup to our vet that we have had for years and he was in perfect health with zero issues!!!! I would go back to The Puppy Place in a heart beat if I was looking for another pup they took great care of us and our new pup Marley!!!

My teammates and I visited this place during our travels through Massachusetts. There was about 15 of us in there for approximately 10 minutes before any of the employees came to greet us. This woman (larger in stature, blonde hair) stared at us and didn't say anything. All the dogs looked extremely depressed and we're stepping all over each other in their tiny, unclean enclosures. I stated to my friends that these poor dogs were from puppy Mills. The employee said to me, "Let me educate you real quick, ma'am. These dogs are from certified breeders." I laughed at this egregious statement. A friend of mine asked how many times the dogs get walked and the rude employee responded, "they don't get walked." This woman has not an ounce of nurturing sense in her soul. Please, do not shop here. By shopping here, you are supporting the wild mistreatment of dogs through the means of Puppy Mills. Please don't ever go here.

We recently bought a puppy here. Every time we visited he got more and more covered with poop. Some of the workers were very unfriendly. Just brought him to the vet for bloody poop and pink eye. We got him 2 days ago. If you do end up getting a puppy here please make sure you take them to the vet to make sure there is nothing wrong with them. Don't take it to the vet they recommend either, go to your own vet.

I bought my pup from there almost a year ago. At first he did weird coughs and after stopped. He's a very healthy baby and he turns 1 next month... I wont ever buy again from here due to all the reviews I read after and even my vet for my pup was not happy with the place. Also the workers can be very rude. But I'm just happy my pup is healthy and happy.

I Got a puppy from there, and had a 14 day garrentee that if she was sick they would cover vet costs. I ended up taking her to the emergency room, to the vet multiple times and she ended up sick on antibiotics. The puppy place said it was stress of a new home... and that they couldn't do anything...just got the puppy and already wasted hundreds of dollars on her vet costs. What she has is very conragious and they didn't even sound worried about the other puppies being sick. So don't buy from there.

Bought a German shepherd puppy for $1,487.50. The pup has had nothing but problems from the day I purchased him. I ignored the bad reviews to buy the puppy for my sister and so far the pup (like so many others) has kennel cough, and is sick, lethargic, moans and groans in pain in discomfort all day long. I brought him to a friends house that had bought a German shepherd puppy from a breeder, and the difference between the two puppies that were of the same breed and same age (both 3 months) was outstanding. The other shepherd was running around and joyful and energetic, while mine seem depressed, miserable, and just outright sick. He had trouble even walking as if he never had exercise before. This place has not taken good care of my dog or the others that so many have complained about. I recommend finding a breeder or someone trustworthy to purchase a dog from as I am currently in the animal hospital writing this review.

Seriously don't go if you're with friends. My sister and I just had our Shepard pass away and wanted to see the one that looked just like him but because our friends asked to see a beagle we weren't allowed. We also asked nicely 5 times to see us and at least 6 people were helped and able to pet the puppy of their choice first. I will never be back here no ever ever recommend it to anyone. they think the puppies get played with too often... But they are locked up in little cages all day. Learn how to take care of a dog, this place is awful

I thought places like this were illegal now...they have 2-3 puppies crammed in each tiny box, with crates on the bottom that their paws fall right through. It's obviously for profit being that their cheapest dogs were $700-$1500. Not to mention they had 2 cats in a RAT cage. I saw one other review on here about someones dog coming down with pneumonia after a few weeks. While we were in their we heard another woman telling the employee the EXACT same thing just happened to her dog. This place needs to be shut down immediately.

These ass holes sell you sick dogs for breeder prices..These poor puppies all have kennel cough and signs of parvo The dogs are said to be checked by a vet and in good health?!! But yet they are so sick.. You will end up in an emergency animal hospital spending 160 just to be seen..

Last year we got a puppy from here and he had kennel cough, grew up to have crooked front joints that may pose a problem and become arthritic as he ages. We wanted another dog for him to play with and bring us joy. After looking at shelters, we broke down and stopped in. Unfortunately we fell in love with another little boy who ended up having kennel cough as well. They don't reimburse you for vet costs, only take the dog back for treatment. Honestly, i wouldn't trust him to go back there. Upon looking at his record, he hadn't received his second distemper/ parvovirus combo vaccine on time which is a red flag! He had blood in his stool which could be giardia ( transmitable to humans) or potentially deadly parvovirus! Needless to say he is going to the vet within 24 hours, we love him, but not where he came from!!! We hate that we supported this place with buying him, but it's hard not to want to take them away from that situation!

DO NOT GET A DOG FROM HERE. I bought my puppy here less than a month ago and Ive had to go to the Vet 4 times since (excluding the initial Vet visit you should make.) They gave me a dewormer the day I picked her up and told me it was to help with the stress of changing homes so that she wouldnt have diarrhea. Got the results back from the vet and she actually has worms. She also had a UTI and keeps coughing. Save yourself the heartbreak (because thats all I feel for my poor little puppy) and go else where. If I could give negative stars, I would.

People please read reviews on puppy mills to understand all the negative reviews. Do not purchase from these places, go to a shelter and buy a pet. Again, read all the information on puppy mills and the raids to rescue the mothers of these puppies that have no life and are abused.

The workers there are very unfriendly. I adopted my puppy from there in 2012 and she came home with kennel cough. Now years later I go in looking for another puppy to bring home and the big woman there is rude rude rude. People should work we’re they love. Awful customer service.

I got my puppy from there a few months ago. She is fine and healthy but the woman who worked there was a little condescending to my fiance and I the whole time asking us "if we were sure we could handle a responsibility like this" until I told her I could pay in full that day. She wouldn't give me the time of day until the money was mentioned

The employees here were SO incredibly rude. And the dogs are obviously not well taken care of. I spent 10 mins with a german shepherd puppy and she was biting me incessantly the entire time. She ripped through my sweater, leggings and down jacket. I have had plenty of dogs in my past, but I could not get a hold of this one. And I called out to the employees for help (because they left me there un-monitored) but they were too busy on their phones talking to each other. I could tell immediately that these dogs dont socialize much, are locked up all day, dont have any obedience training and are all ill-behaved. Its a shame because all of the dogs were really cute, but just be aware that they are not well tempered and you wont get any help from the staff.

We bought a puppy who ended up with a slight cough. Through the week it got worse. Long story short he had pneumonia and there is a chance he may not make it. Called the place, now mind you this is still within their 14 warranty but past the 48 return, they said it was our responsibility and they wouldn't pay anything. We could bring him to them but a vet would not be the one taking care of him if would be the workers, so we kept him at the hospital. I don't know how this ends but I hope he will be fine in the end.DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER BUYING FROM THIS PLACEi would give them a negative score if i could -10/10

Never been here. The sister store at ctdoghouse on Hale Rd explains it all. My friend bought a dog at the the Puppy Place in West Springfield and is not a puppy like they claimed. She is not house broken either which we are still working on. She has mental illness and anxiety. She is still timid. She is a daschund. The Dog House needs to be shut down due to 51A’s. This is a puppy mill. Its all about money and not the care for these pets. Thomas J O Connor or Animal Control needs to step in and never reopen like Sanford Brown Institute in Springfield MA. This is all 51As. If I was Animal Control, bye bye to puppy mills and hello to Dakin and real adoptions. What a waste of money, time, ad lives which can all be prevented but money talks. Bull 💩 talks. No one cares.

The sales woman blantently lied to my sister about what kind of dog she was selling. She claimed it was a chihuahua and when I said no it wasn't because I own a chihuahua and I'm aware of what they look like she had the audacity to say "oh it's an American chihuahua"Needless to say my sister was going to get the dog regardless of the breed so their wasn't a need to sit there and lie about it being a full breed chihuahua. He ended up being a chihuahua mixed with a grey hound. The women also appeared to be on some sort of drugs. Just be very wary of this place.

Disgusting. Animals are treated poorly, sit in their own filth all day; aren't aloud to be played with if your inquiries are not serious. Employees might as well be robots and the manager is rude. Place should truly be shut down for animal abuse.After posting these exact words on their Facebook page, I was blocked. As this had happened to other friends of mine that had previously written negative reviews.

These reviews are real! Do not buy a dog from here.... I too fell into the trap of buying a puppy from this place and we had to put her down a week later from congenital kidney failure... it took us over a year and threatening lawyers to get our money back from them. If I could give this place zero stars I would.

I love animals so much but all the got a looked sad and they were stacked on top of each other on cages and that's just cruel. I felt so sad the dogs looked dreppessed and sad because they don't even get walked. They stay in their cages forever until someone buys them. This is animal abuse.

This is of the worst dog shelter that I have ever seen. Every single cage had poop on the bottom of the cages and smelled awful. They don't walk any of the dogs. Each dog looks so sad this is a very very awful place

I hate the way the doggies are displayed in the small cages and I get so sad if I go in. I bought my two shih tzus there though, and they are now 8 and 5, perfectly healthy.

Cute dogs but the lady there was very disrespectful only 1 puppy you can play with per family and the stench was horrible and they don't let you hold the dog unless your aware it won't hurt you my sister and me fell in love with one my mom considered buying her so now we may get !!!!
