After many recommendations about Blood Farm, I finally went to check them out.Don't expect a fancy retail store here, this is the real deal - a farm/slaughterhouse that has a small retail store.You can get everything meat related here - from chicken, pork, lamb, and beef. Many cuts are prepared and available in their refrigerated or frozen cases, but they also can accommodate special requests. I was looking for two full-sized pork butts for a party this weekend. I was able to watch them prep the butts right through the glass window. You just can't get any fresher than that! Via recommendation, I also picked up a pound of the hot sausage and am anxious to try it.Don't expect to pay low grocery store prices here - you get what you pay for, and high quality costs more. For me, it's worth it (especially for special occasions).

Can't find a better steak around here. Bacon, amazing. Steak tips, phenomenal. Ham, out of this world. Ribs, OMG... Bone in ribeye.... Mind melting. My worry is that you'll try some steak here and it will RUIN any place that ISNT Blood Farm.

I arrived here 8 minutes before closing to pick up a pork shoulder to try making pulled pork.I had called ahead so they could hold one for me and good thing I did as it was the last one!Super friendly, nice people!!The place is small but I didn't have much time to look around.I will definitely make a return trip as the selection lookes really good.Went here due to all the rave reviews online.Was a little remote for me but I like supporting local small businesses.Give it a try!!

Was looking for a local butcher shop near boxborough. Found this place on google but wasn’t sure if it was only a wholesaler or not but after looking through the site and reading some reviews, I found out they sell all types of individual cuts of meat. Picked up two bone in rib-eyes. They were a bit pricey but huge… Got them home, seasoned them up, and hit the grill. Best steak from a butcher shop Iv ever had. It was extremely tender and fresh. Perfect amount of marbling (Light). Competes with alpine all day. Possibly a hair better. It being a local family business is great as well. If you’re looking for an 1.5” thick cut of fine steak, you’ve come to the right place. Enjoy

Great place with awesome customer service. Lots of choices and good looking meat. Highly recommended! Update, I've had an opportunity to cook some of the food and let me tell you. It is some of the best quality meats I've ever had outside of a restaurant. The steak was so tender... Also, the chicken wings were delicious although, it was a small portion.

Love this place, briskets ribs steaks chicken etc. All your meat needs for some good cooking! I got a smoker and my buddy introduced me to this place and I've been going back ever since. Today getting ready for camping I went and picked up a couple packs of burgers and a couple packs of ribs it's nice because they are fresh but they are already Frozen for me so they'll last in the cooler till the weekend when I cook them up.

The quality and service that you get at Blood Farm is unmatched. I wanted a couple of ribeyes to try my hand at a sous vide and they cut two steaks to get the size I desired.The place has plenty of options for meats, fats, eggs, etc. So come here, chat with whomever is at the register and support a great local business.

Very knowledgeable and friendly folk. Prices are good for bulk purchases. Buying from the cases of a bit more expensive. We are saving up for another bulk purchase from them.Edit: had some steaks tonight from the grill. Took a bite from my porterhouse and blissed out for a few minutes. Best beef I've ever had.

Love this place, and have been buying meat from them for more than 10 years, before and after the fire. As noted by others, they do not offer organic, grass fed meat. But their meet is of restaurant quality within grade and always super fresh. Some of the meat is locally raised, I don't know what percentage, perhaps that's why sometimes the meat is truly sublime. I will have to ask about that my next time in.Service is superb. They will make any cut you want, any size, any way that you want it. I love the NY Sirloin which is the hip shell. I have them cut it 2" thick because I grill it at a high temp,and serve it in slices, just like a NYC steakhouse (Peter Luger's for example). The. Best.

I'm sure their products are delicious, their word of mouth has been outstanding; which is why I called them. However, due to a temporary disability on my part, I am unable to use my right hand, which I explained when I called. I asked for a special order -- 2 lbs chicken cut and packaged in 4 oz portions -- and was told they could not do that. I will not be a customer, even after I have recovered use of my hand. I expected outstanding customer service and did not get it.

It's been a few years since I was last at Blood Farms, but am happy to report that everything seems to be back to normal after the fire. The service is extremely friendly and the selection and quality of the meat is outstanding. They happily provide custom cuts.

Blood Farms is a local slaughter house that sells retail in the building. Quality and freshness can not be surpassed. They flash freeze products, but you can get fresh by asking. Staff is helpful and pleasant.

Always friendly and they are awesome with kids. They let my daughter have a lollipop and pick a cute kite! The meat is always delicious! We will be going back this week to get smoked pork chops since they were out today! Thanks for keeping us supplied through this pandemic!!

Walking in it smelled like delicious fresh meat. Within a minute or so we were being waited on. The freezers are available for you to help yourself into with a variety of choices from rabbit to chicken. We picked up some frozen burger and breakfast sausage to try at a later date. We ordered two 1lb porter house which were so large we had to get 3lbs for two steaks which we did not mind whatsoever. And we ordered fresh smoked bacon! These steaks are beautiful! Definitely will be back!

I absolutely stand behind blood farm. From bones to lamb the quality is amazing. The prices are well worth it and the staff is amazing. They accomodated a massive lamb order I placed for Passover and not only were they so wonderful throughout the process but the pamb was so good. Really fresh and perfectly cut.

I shop here regularly their meat is far superior to anything you can get from a grocery store or another butcher. Their staff is amazing and kind. My favorite from them is their lamb it is the best I have ever had.

Had a bone-in ribeye from Blood Farm last night. Well marbled, very tender, and the flavor was excellent. Definitely a cut above Whole Foods steaks (which is what I normally buy) and Blood Farm's pricing is much better.

Very disappointed with a pork loin with the rind on that I special ordered but was just the fastest pork loin with a super fatty rind tied on top even after a custom order. I guess they thought I could not possibly cook this as a traditional Danish Christmas pork roast. Honestly, it tasted like fatback. This was the most expensive fatback I ever ordered and did not like. I’ll never order from them and tell everyone the same.

Got filets for beef tartare here and it was fantastic! Plus, the price blew my mind. Only $30 for two, which is a little cheaper than what I would pay at Wegmans, and they cut it right there for me. Doesn’t get more fresh!

The purchase is weighed in double wrapped paper and they don't show you the weight. the bacon was 75% fat. I got 2 rib eyes and 1.345 lb bacon for $38.00. I was shocked as the 2 steaks weighed 2 7 lbs. I have a good scale so I can check. My dog loved the bacon

Any cut of meat that you can imagine will be done for you. Amazing quality, lovely service and advise and incredible prices for what you get. Well worth the road trip. Don't forget to get their bacon.
