Being new to the Cape, we really didn't have a vet yet. So when our beloved 14 yr old dog could no longer carry on with a comfortable life, I asked for recommendations. Wellfleet Veterinary was recommended by several co-workers and another vet as well. We wanted to have an in home euthanasia but was not able to get a veterinary mobile service with the holidays and such. I phoned Chris at Wellfleet, she was more than accommodating, respectful, sympathetic,and explained the service. She even gave me other Mobile vets info that do in home service. She told me to call back if no luck and if worse came to worse, they could get us in quickly. NO luck with the others, so we confirmed an appointment for the next afternoon. She also told me that if we changed our minds, we could simply cancel or reschedule.During the early morning, our girl passed away ( at home). I phoned Chris to tell the news and asked if Wellfleet could still have our girl cremated. It was a big yes.We took her there and Daniel met my husband at the car. My husband said the first thing Daniel said to him was "I'm Sorry" with compassion. He made my husband and myself feel at ease, not turning our girl over to cold strangers. Chris was outstanding through the whole process and Daniel certainly has a BIG heart. I can't say enough good things about the Wellfleet Vet Hospital. All of the doctors, techs, and receptionists are amazing. Everyone is so caring, thorough, and knowledgeable. I very highly recommend them. We are grateful to have such a great practice and right in town!

Had to unfortunately put my dog down which is a tuff experience but everyone who works here could not have been nicer. My dog lost use of his back legs and as he dragged himself to the door the vet tech ran out lifted him up and carried him in, tucker was at least 60lbs not a small dog. Everyone was so nice the receptionist were so kind and dr Kelly Preston was so awesome gave me as much time as I wanted. I could not recommend this place enough my mom went with me because she was close to my dog as well and she was so impressed on how great everyone was. Wouldn’t go anywhere else ever.

Our 1st visit w our 13 yo German shepherd mix. great attentive care. thorough and friendly. well located for us from Ptown. Dr Preston was lovely,they were on time, no lengthy waiting room wait. We're in for a repeat visit. They helped manage care between our WEST and EAST coast vets.

Personable, professional caring doctors and staff. We've been several times over the summer with our two dogs, including for surgeries. Very pleased with the care, attention and time taken to explain and/or advise and answer questions. Front desk personnel are the friendliest, most patient ever.6/22 - annual wellness visits today. Best people ever work at Wellfleet Vet. Patient and kind even when ir's busy. 😊

What a breath of fresh air ! They treat your pet like they actually care and are responsive to my concerns. They return calls promptly. The staff is kind, considerate, caring, and professional. I had known Dr John Kelly and Chris ( Administrator ) from a previous practice and I cannot say enough good things about them. They are Angels on Earth!

Dr. Kelly went above and beyond to care for my cat. You can tell he cares very deeply about animals and their owners. I will be taking my other two kitties here as well even though it's a little farther than the closest vet.
