We stopped here one afternoon for an early dinner and were seated on the deck out front. Service was quick, friendly and knowledgeable. Kitchen service was very good. The happy hour selections are perfect. Small plate and good price as well. We noticed other people dining off the menu and everything we saw looked great. Big portions well presented too. We ordered a wide variety of specials. Fried oyster sliders, lobster raviolis, fried clam strips all were delicious. We also got some of the raw wellfleet oysters. They were fabulous.Weather permitting try the Outdoor seating , very nice.Definitely going back!Urban CowgillAug 2023

Cute spot with friendly staff. The food was decent, but most of it came out at room temp, including the soup and the chocolate lava cake. The caprese sandwich was a welcome vegetarian option, but the croissant wasn't great quality (kind of expected for a seafood restaurant) and the French fries were hard, dry, and not warm.Overall an okay meal all around.

I ordered the stuffed lobster thinking I would get a tasty meal, instead I had the most delicious shellfish I think I have ever had, comparable to the blue crabs from where I’m from. Their root beer was a hit (the way to my heart is paved with empty root beer bottles.) and their oysters were perfect. Combined with a bookstore and a gorgeous view of the water, it made for very pleasant eating. Best meal I’ve had in cape cod.

Good old family restaurant serving fresh seafood dishes and traditional American food. We enjoyed the Wellfleet oysters , I had never seen Oysters that big before, and the lobster rolls. All of that while enjoying the view over the sea. It was packed with locals, always a good sign.Vegetarian options: Beetrood salad was good, but could have been a bit bigger

Indoor and outdoor seating here, and upstairs you get a great view of the bay. If you time it right, the sunsets from here are amazing. The food is very good. I enjoyed my hot lobster roll. Plenty of lobster, served with a side of drawn butter and french fries. Prices are reasonable for the large portions of fresh seafood. Clam chowder, hot lobster roll, and a cold beer is the perfect cool weather Cape Cod meal.

Location: right across wellfleet marina in wellfleet cultural district. Ample own parking for the location.Food: we had a cold and hot lobster sandwich which was huge, filled with claw meat and served with fries. (Fries were luke warm, not greasy and they were tasty but not piping hot.)Oysters were super fresh and tasty.Cod tacos were phenomenal.Sweet potato fries were ok but huge serving.Drinks: cape cod blonde was good. Sangria was a bit watered down. Pina colada mocktails we're super.Cost: not cheap but pretty reasonable considering the location, quality and menu choices.Service: polite, prompt and attentive.Ambiance: we sat upstairs with a great view of marina and sea with light breeze for our late afternoon lunch.Bookstore was (permanently?) Closed 😢Overall a great experience, will surely come again.Parking: Own parking for approximately 20 cars.

First of all, service was on point. Stacy was our waitress and she went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable throughout the entire experience. Now, let’s get to the food. The food was also top notch. Our dinner came out to us quick and was piping hot with a multitude of flavors and smells. The depth of flavor in my Baked Medley (cod, scallops, shrimp) was amazing. The broiling has been tuned to perfection, compliments to the chef and the skill it takes to do this. A nice firm meat with the perfect crusting on top to go with it.I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who ever visits Cape Cod. Best experience I’ve had at a restaurant in a long time.

Our favorite restaurant on the Cape and no vacation is complete without a lunch or dinner stop. We were a party of 3 women. We all had appetizers of shrimp cocktail ( fresh, light, and so 😋 sweet), oysters Rockefeller, and Bookstore Mussels. Everyone had speciality 🍸 ( I was DD so only Diet Pepsi for me ) Then, we had Fried Shrimp platter, ( I had a beautiful, fresh House Salad instead of fries ( it was perfect) . Other entrées were Swordfish with a 🍅 remolade, and Baked Scallops that were enormous. Finally, we ended the night with a lemonciello cake with fresh .Perfect as always. Ps- Our waitress has been our server not once but three times before. We absolutely love it 😀I cannot rave about this place enough. The views and we were incredibly blessed with a spectacular sunset as well. Cannot get much better!Do yourself a flavor and enjoy the fresh seafood, incredible service, and spectacular views on the water in Wellfleet.

We had originally wanted to sit on the porch but within minutes it became too cold for my comfort. The staff were very accommodating and moved us to an inside table. The dining room was lovely with wooden tables and chairs. The food was wonderful! Great taste, wonderful presentation, served in a timely manner at the right temperature. Staff was friendly, polite, and helpful. Will definitely return.Dietary restrictions: Offers gf bread

A very cute place with very friendly, efficient servers. We came in as a very large group and they did an excellent job getting us all seated and served quickly. I got the beet salad and it was delicious. Some of the people I was with said their food could have been a bit hotter (lobster roll, clam chowder), but I personally had no complaints. I recommend their hot cider!!!Vegetarian options: The beet salad was delicious!!!

Great casual place with killer views of the harbor. I have only had lunch here - never dinner so I can’t comment on that. Everyone in my group had fish tacos -you can get fish or shrimp - they are fried but delicious. My weakness is fried chicken sandwiches- they have a killer one. I got it without the aioli - I’m more of a purist when it comes to this sandwich. Great wine and beer list. Try the Bravium Pinot Noir .... it’s off the charts !Overall very good -sit out on the deck on a nice day !

Cute restaurant with a great view and an extensive menu. I came here for lunch and had wonderful meal. You should definitely try the oysters, they are delicious! I did find it quite cold in the restaurant, so maybe bring a sweater.

We had a well orchestrated lunch here. We were in a rush and the waitress was extremely efficient and accommodating. The lobster roll was top-notch, however the clam chowder was way too thick, had little flavor and very few clams. The Portuguese soup was also very good. It had a french onion soup flavor with chucks of potatoes and kale, and I liked it.

We found this place while exploring and it is amazing. The oysters Rockefeller disappeared so fast. The swordfish special with coconut curry was very yummy. Also definitely try the fig martini.

Remember how you've always been told by your parents, save the best for last, well this hidden gem is the last restaurant at the end of Well Fleets beautiful downtown.Anthony was our server and he was tentative, professional, and knew our orders. We had the clams casino, oysters in a half shell, clam chowder, and the littlenecks. By far, a good appetizing menu for 3 of us.At the end, we did the swordfish and cod tacos and swordfish sandwich. The chef prepared the swordfish perfectly and we couldn't of been anymore impressed. We definitely will be going back soon.

We tried to come earlier in the week and it was packed. Came on a Wednesday and we're seated right away for lunch. Food was amazing. Portions look small but are very filling. Can't wait to come back!

My wife and I ordered this for Takeout. The Calamari was amazing and the shrimp (&cod) tacos were on point as well. Would highly recommend this hidden gem!

Nice atmosphere in Wellfleet. Had the lobster roll and Bookstore Ruben (fried cod ruben.) Lobster roll is a bit too much mayo. Swapped out fries for onion rings for a $3 upcharge; came with just 6 onion rings, which was disappointing for an extra charge on a $16 sandwich. Trader Vic's Mai Tai was NOT the Trader Vic's recipe - not even close; more like a fruity rum punch you'd get at a Chinese restaurant.

Highly recommended by a few locals in the area, The Bookstore lives up to its charm with great food and a fabulous view of Mayo Beach. Started with the fried chicken tenders as an appetizer then had the fried cod with French Fries and homemade cole slaw with tartar sauce. An excellent meal and wonderful service. A great place to go and enjoy the area.

We were seated right away (party if 5) on a Rainy afternoon. The shrimp and fish tacos were great. Each taco had 4 shrimp so you're getting your moneys worth. The muscle special left my wife full. And even gave me 4-6 she couldn't finish.
