Our experience is with the restaurant and we like the history of the building. Some of the benches were too tight to the table for people to squeeze into. Being fixed position a booth made it difficult to even access our table. The menu could use some more attraction. It can be loud inside so anyone with a sensitivity for that should come prepared. Overall the experience is delightful with good weather. It's right on the beach and could be windy as well. Parking lot could use a little better direction as well. One way to the right, just go slow.

Last year we ate here and we had our friendly 4 lbs dog with us. We where seated in the bar area which was great. Food was greatToday we went with our little dog and were told we had to order at the outdoor window and stand at high top tables with no chairs on the side porch facing the parking lot. At least they could put picnic tables there. This restaurant should not be listed as PET FRIENDLY because it is not... I was looking forward to eating here.

Definitely lived up to the hype! We stopped here for lunch on the way up to Provincetown. We arrived right before it opened, and people were already lined up to get in. We were charged $30 for parking, but then given a voucher to put that $30 towards our meal. We were seated immediately and the food came out fast. Everything was delicious - the oysters, lobster roll and fish and chips were all very tasty. It was nice to be able to sit outside and then walk over to the beach after our meal. I would highly recommend it!

Went last day of season, the fish Sammy and fried scallops were very good, but raw oysters were the best I've had in a very very long time. Bought a very nice long sleeve Beachcomer shirt as well! Our fave spot on the Cape

Fun casual atmosphere. Great casual seafood (shrimp tacos). But: there’s no view except maybe a little from the bar, parking is very hard to get, it’s not fine dining and more like a fun bar with good food.Remember, you share a tiny parking lot with a popular local beach. When it’s full, it’s full. Tip: come after 2 PM on a week day. Swimmers and lunch diners start to leave.

The location of this bar is breathtaking. From the actual bar, you won’t see this view but it is about 100 feet from the edge. Went with a group of friends for dinner. Parking is $30 but they give you a voucher that you may use towards your dinner/ tab. Figure they do this so it does not congest the parking lot because it is very limited. Tuna was fantastic. Friends had the lobster and said that it was an 11/10. They close for an hour, and reopen for the bar scene. We decided not to stay because they did have a cover, but it looked like it was packed as we were leaving. Seemed like it would’ve been a great time, but just nothing surrounding this area.Nearby activities: None

When you arrive at the restaurant you have to pay 30$ for a voucher/parking which you can use for paying your food. Someone brought us to our table and we waited almost 20min until someone came to take our order. The food wasn’t good, easy fried and served with plastic flatware and on plastic plates. It wasn’t worth the money.

Food is mid, no ventilation inside so it’s so hot and humid and obviously outrageous prices. They LITERALLY serve you with paper plates and cups and plastic forks. For being near the beach and charging so much they should AT LEAST get some real plates and cutlery. Oh, and there was a hair in my fish sandwich. So disgusting, but they were happy to make a new one at least. Please make your cooks wear hair nets. Thanks

While getting to the restaurant was challenging the food was great. I had to park up the street at the beach parking and pay $30 to park. It is a cool beach atmosphere and a very popular restaurant. My kids loved going down to the beach and saw some seal’s swimming in the water. Staff was quick and friendly. It is exactly what you picture for a beach restaurant.

Sadly, this happens to many restaurants with a great location. Service, other than the bartender, was uncaring, uninterested, and unkind. Food was fair but very overpriced. While you won't have the view, suggest if you want much better food, caring and kind service, better prices and better cleanliness you visit Arnold's a few miles down the road.

You’ve heard the stories - absolutely legendary beach bar on the Cape. Get there early and be ready to wait (line can get long), be ready to spend money (they’re a destination and they know it), and get ready to have fun. Once your name is on the list you can enjoy drinks and food from the walk-up window. Great scene with a beach right off the front.

Don’t go there much any more, Sunday afternoons seeing the Incredible Casuals was magic…you had to be there to understand. Having said that I remember the food was good, the view is amazing. They used to book some great bands, focused more on food and drinks now. Occasional bands, more DJ stuff, younger crowd. Still a must visit if your out that way .

$30 for parking that gets reduced or reimbursed but only for food.Don't ask to be seated at an actual table if you're just having drinks and appetizers. For that you have to have full meals for everyone. So the "just drinks and apps" folks are relegated to relatively small SRO bar area.I don't know what the food is like. We left after our second failed attempt for the four of us to get one of the many open tables.

Great staff except for the Manager (Michelangelo) who had absolutely no judgment and killed our experience. After spending a couple of hours on the outside deck with our dog and spending a few hundred dollars in food and clothing, the Manager told us that we had to leave immediately on account of us having a dog and the outdoor deck was closed. Eventhough the staff offered a last call, the Manager came around to tell us that we couldn't pursue our evening outside or have a last call because the deck was closed. He said 'if we do it for you then we have to do it for everyone else', meanwhile we were the only customers left on the deck!

Great restaurant. Cool location, it's on the top of a dune. Started with steamers, clam chowder, and oysters, all we amazing. Then whole belly clams, scallops, and fish tacos were perfectly cooked. Drinks were cold and flowing... definitely visiting again.

What a Beachfront New England Crab shack should be by definition with fun non pretentious well mannered crowd and excellent quality and service.Food & drinks: A cut above the rest!Noteworthy details: Beach and facility itself.

Had a great time when we went to the bar at night. My only complaint is that the bartender must have added onto the tip when I bought drinks. I have pictures of what I paid for and tipped but the total charge on my credit card was more. Beware of bartender Joshua adding extra tip onto your receipt.

This was my second time and probably the last time here. It’s extremely pricey given that the food was basically fast fried things. The service is horrible that the waitress kept throwing plates and meals to us. For that reason she knocked over a bottle of water on our table 🙂🙃🙂🙃She looked really depressed. Try somewhere else - you can go to a nice restaurant and easily drive up to beach.

[Takeout review] Would definitely recommend the raw oysters, very fresh. Also loved the clam chowder. It was delicious and flavorful, though some may like it slightly thicker.Other items we got were the grilled cajun scallops starter which was good, not fishy, maybe not super outstanding, and grilled swordfish tacos. My friend felt the swordfish was good quality, but ratio of fish to taco was small for what it’s worth. The piña colada was really tasty as a refresher, unfortunately not very strong. Everything was overall great and fresh. I’d come back. The location was perfect and there’s a steep walk down to the beach below or you can just appreciate the view from the small lookout spot. There is a $30 parking fee (cash only), however this fee can be redeemed at the restaurant. So parking is essentially free as long as you order $30 worth.

Awesome spot for some fresh oysters and a view! The atmosphere was awesome and it’s quite a popular spot. We arrived 15 min before open and the line was probably 10 parties long. If you want a seat outside you need to be there 15 min before open. Staff at the host stand wasn’t the friendliest but the wait staff was great!

A can't miss stop if you are on Cape Cod. The views, food and atmosphere is worth the drive.Go for a swim and then come up to grab a drink with friends. There is nothing else like this place, you won't regret coming here.

Location. Great place for couples or partners to sit at bar outside. Wear a sweatshirt or jacket. Layers key if you want to hang outside. Draft Beers $8. Apps $12. Muscles piled high with lots of butter and garlic. Def order. Onion rings ok. The scallop platter excellent. Scallops melted in mouth. Fries average. Coleslaw small cup on side average. Salmon burger was very good. Lobster roll Piled high. Four people three drinks 3 apps 4 meals. $220. Parking near restaurant is large area but can be tight. Service was fine. Cleaned up quick. Sweatshirts for sale $60. Fyi.

The food was good! Staff was super nice and knowledgeable. The mussels are some of the best I've tried. Also the swordfish tacos were delicious!Very busy, lots of peopleDownfall is that parking fills up quickly, there is another spot down the road the next beach over if you are down for a little walk (however still $30). But you get the parking for the day and can make a beach day out of it.

Absolutely awful experience. The location was cool but my family was harassed by one extremely rude bartender. If you happen to go here, avoid the balding white guy with the beard. Lost my service forever, hope he gets fired

The Beachcomber is a unique Cape Cod experience that is as close as you will get to a Florida Keys bar in New England. While the food is average, the raw bar is often excellent, and the actual bar is very unique - especially if you sit overlooking the beach. The best part of the Beachcomber is the setting right on the beach - so if you go, take the time to climb down to Cahoon Hallow Beach and enjoy a slice of the Cape Cod National Seashore.I give my review two stars for a simple reason: you need to pay $30 to park. They do this for a simple reason: to discourage people looking for free parking for a beach. You will however be refunded your $30 on your bill, provided you actually get a table and eat. But you should know that the combination of the beach and bar make this one of the busiest restaurants on the Outer Cape. I've sometimes shown up and been seated immediately, and other times have waited 90+ minutes for a table - or been turned away because my party was too large. While I've heard you can ask for a refund on parking, from other reviews here it doesn't seem like that is really the case. But as long as you go into it accepting the risk of losing your $30 and possibly not getting a table, the Beachcomber can be a fun experience.Addendum: You can see the owner's response below. The restaurant he is telling me to go to instead of his is Macs on Commercial Street in Wellfleet. If you haven't been, it is a great option: good food, good service, and nice setting on marsh. Oh, and you don't have to pay $30 to find out if you can get a table. 😉
