We LOVE Russell's Garden Center! If they don't sell what you need, then it doesn't exist. This place has everything & priced extremely well. It's also beautiful & a great place to spend on a gloomy day. Highly recommend.

If you want variety of plants, this is the place to go. If you are looking for information, you'll get it but don't expect any friendliness or courtesy. Just went in for advice about one of our tree that was damaged and although the person was knowledgeable, she was really rude to our kids because they were making traces in the gravel with their shoes. Obviously they didn't know it was not allowed and it's completely fine to tell us but the way she told them (us really as parents) was really rude, no manners at all! It is the beginning of the season and it was the morning, not busy at all, so I can just imagine how you are served at the end of the day at the peak of the season...

Love this place! They have the hardiest plants and the best selection around. Yes, you pay a little more than other garden centers, but you know the saying... You get what you pay for!

I stopped by for a few minutes to check out the houseplant selection and I was blown away! So many plants and products I wanted to buy! I can't wait to come back and really take my time to shop around.

The gem of Wayland. Farmers Market is on every Wednesday! Go support local producers. Got 4 lobsters today and some humus. It was easy to park and a nice stroll. You could get nice plants and flowers. We all should have a bird feeder! You could lunch there too! Don't mail order. Go get your gardening needs there and save the environment from unnecessary packaging wastes!

They make garbage arrangement and service is awful. I don't recommend this shop and will post it on other social media platforms, that way it could help others to not waste their money in this shop. Definitely a No go.

We don't live too far away from Russell's, so we visit regularly. The selection is outstanding: I've been able to find a wide variety of perennials there, more than at other nurseries, as well as shrubs, and the quality is solid, with a mix from larger providers like Proven Winners and smaller local suppliers. Plants seem to come and go quickly, with new selections constantly being introduced. The layout is also very easy to navigate, with both extensive indoor and outdoor spaces. The outdoor area, in particular, is clearly labeled, and the staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The only problem is that I always end up walking out with more plants than I intended to, but there's always room for one more, right?

The largest garden center I have been to with a huge variety of annuals, perennials, fruits, vegetables, trees and shrubs. They also have planters, toys, pavers and soil. Anything you need for the garden and more.

The owner was amazing! They really helped me delivering a beautiful bouquet and a boutonniere to my sister-in-law and they loved it. It was even more mesmerizing than what I could imagine!

amazing selection and the staff is so knowledgeable and helpful. they will seek out the expert on staff if they are unsure and truly want to help/know for themselves. we found a plant that seemed mislabeled, they took the time to get the correct variety so we could get another one in the future and know how to properly care for it.

This place has a great variety of plants to choose from and it shows because it's always pretty busy, a bit on the pricey side. However, we bought some bushes from them and when a few of them died we asked for replacements and got a condescending lecture about how we don't know how to plant bushes. I'm sure we didn't plant the bush perfectly but if a bush dies in a week it probably was not that healthy to begin with. On top of the berating lecture, they said they would only issue a store credit instead of a refund. We bought what we could and left, I don't think we'll be returning.

Russell’s is one of two local, gold standard best-in-class garden centers. The staff are extremely knowledgeable, the selection is extensive and I wholly appreciate the sections on local/ native plants. What’s more, it has a great selection of gifts, garden/ outdoor gear, and kids gifts. The parking can be a bit overwhelming on popular planting weekends and given its location, a certain percentage of its clientele ooze an astounding amount of privilege and entitlement, but that’s not Russell’s fault, like I said, the staff and people who matter are excellent. Highly recommend.

I'm not sure if they have the best trees (seems like they might) or the best prices but we returned for our Christmas tree again this year thanks to the customer service. The staff is SO kind and merry. Andy helped us put the tree on the car and my 3 year old son already can't wait to go back next year.

Very rude staff working in the info center. One of the workers yelled at us because we had an empty pot in our hand. Very condescending and not helpful at all. Very rudely gave us the rules and regulations regarding the return of plants. Mumbling under their breath as if not wanting us to hear them…the dynamic duo. Will never do business with Russell’s again!

We used Russell's as our wedding florist and are so happy we did. Would ABSOLUTELY recommend. Bev in their floral department was wonderful to work with - she was so responsive and created some beautiful arrangements within our very restricted budget. The Garden Center itself is really nice and fun to explore, too! We live on the other side of town but will stop by next time we're in the area.

We used Russell's Garden Center for all of our flowers for our wedding, and we could not have been happier. From the moment we met Bev, we knew we were in good hands. She helped us pick the perfect flowers while still staying within our budget. She also created a floral arrangement on an arch we had rented, and it looked beautiful. We were thrilled with everything.

Tina from “Trees & Shrubs” really made this location amazing. Everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable about all of the plants and products. I have already gone back twice this week. Tons of diversity and quality of selection is unparalleled. I will end on a raving review for the staff, great experience!

I want to say that this is an amazing place to be any time of the year. But today was an off day for one of the employees. I have been collecting for 9 years in this store. Christmas elves. There not inexpensive. So I asked and the response was. We can't please everyone. I work retail and this would not have been my answer to a customer. Again this is an amazing place. Thank you

This was a great first experience. Very friendly and helpful staff. Plan to be here for a while. So many choices of plants and flowers that will broaden your horizons inside and outside the home. I took my mom there for her birthday because plants and flowers are her happy place. We had a great mother daughter outing. If you haven't been before, it's definitely worth going. We are going back in a couple of weeks.

Russell's is a gorgeous candy store for gardeners. Their enormous selection of very well tended plants is supported by a highly experienced staff. It's amazing how they can direct you to specific plants and also offer advice on cultivation and how to coordinate a container, window box or garden. They are aware of the issues facing gardens in this area, so perennials are labeled as deer resistant, for example. Also, the perennial section is divided into sunny and shade collections. There is a massive selection of tools, indoor plants plus fun toys and gifts. Make time when you visit to browse inside. In addition there's a shrub and tree section plus mulch, etc.The shop is handicap accessible, and big carts are plentiful for shopping. They take all forms of payment and honor a MassHort discount with your membership card.

One of my favorite Garden Centers! They offer a great selection of Perrenials, Shrubs,Trees, Bulbs,Seeds & Containers. They have very healthy plants, lots of gifts, Houseplants and Backyard Bird Food, Houses & Feeders. A friendly helpful staff and the prices are surprisingly the lowest of all the local Garden Centers.

What a treat! You can easily spend a couple of relaxing hours at Russell's browsing their massive assortment of plants, birdhouses and gifts. They have a surprisingly large selection of toys too, for all age ranges. A great place for kids, and just so pleasant overall especially during the colder winter months.

Update: August 5th, 2023.I have returned to Russell's Garden Center since I have been gradually adding more native pollinators to my garden. I encourage anyone interested in attracting butterflies and bees to their garden, planting native pollinators is the best way.I especially would like to thank Amy and Syph for taking the time to educate me on which pollinators are best for my garden. This is why I return to Russell's. They not only have the best selection of perennials but there is a lot more to see there. You could spend hours browsing their garden center. My purchases include: Eupatorium 'Joe Weed' (crimson fowers), Eurasia 'Eastern Star' Aster.-------Previous postOne of the best hidden gems for gardeners! I have been shopping for my perennials and garden supplies for the past 2+ years. We have purchased many thriving plants from Russell's. Their staff is always pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. We got a beautiful Christmas tree there this year and I will be going back next year for another. I've been disappointed everywhere else. Our tree from Russell's lasted for over a month and it was perfect in fragrance, shape and size. It was a Frazier Fir but not like others from various nurseries. I can't say enough positive comments. If you haven't been there, please go, you won't regret it. THEIR PRICES ARE REASONABLE
