This place is a joke, if you can just go to somewhere else, this place have almost everything locked up and you need press a button and wait someone may appears to help you get a toothpaste or a hand soup so this guys are doing a good job preventing a shoplift and a fantastic job preventing his customers to buy!!!

Oct2022: 4⭐: I searched for a Target location that had a specific item I was going to purchase for my parents and some other generic household items. I located this one that wasn't too far away but supposedly had the item that I was looking to purchase. I mapped out the location and headed out. When I arrived, there were several handicap parking spots available in front of the store location. It was not very difficult to find as it was marked well with the branding signs. I walked through the store and noted that there were several individual stores within this area that were functional, clean and neat. During my pickup at the customer service counter, the young lady was professional and courteous that I dealt with to handle my pickup.

Yeah, I don't think I'll be shopping here because they are locking up the guys' underwear tank top and socks. You have to press a button on the display case and somebody may come and help you.

This target is a joke now. Almost everything is locked up and as others have said, there’s nobody working to help. I have actually tried waiting at the cases but I am usually ignored, so it doesn’t seem worth it to buy product from here anymore. Instead of locking up toothpaste, why don’t they close the checkout section that’s left unattended and leads out into the mall. Corporate also needs to higher more people.

I'm not much of a Target shopper but will go to the store 3 or 4 times a year for things I need. Over the past year or two this location has gone downhill so much, the staff doesn't want to help you or answer questions, anything that isn't groceries related is under stocked and products are locked behind glass. The locking of products is fine, I get it, its to prevent shoplifting but when you need to wait a few minutes for each product that you need behind glass it makes you wonder why you are coming here ans wasting time when you could go to another store.

This is the closest target to me and where I would go for everyday essentials like soap, skin care products, toothpaste, etc. they’ve since locked up all these goods and the associates take too long to arrive. Quick trip becomes 20+ mins. I usually need several things are one time, which means the associate either has to follow me from aisle to aisle or I call them multiple times.I do pick up orders only now when I need basics, easier than waiting for an unlock!

It’s so unfortunately how this target has changed because i used to love coming here. Today I visited in the early afternoon and they recently added signage so now self check out is ten items or less. However there were lines wrapping around the aisles for the two cashiers that were open while the self check had no line. They also have started locking everything from shampoo to men’s underwear up, so you need to wait to have an employee help you. The aisles were busy with people just waiting for employees. I always feel so bad when I need to keep calling the same employee to different sections to unlock all the cases. They seem understaffed, or used to people just giving up and leaving, so you need to wait a long time for someone to come. In my opinion, I don’t think the frustration it causes customers is worth what target would have lost from theft.

Things have changed significantly here between short-staffage and theft/shoplifting. It's a sign of the times and it's a shame because they are close to where I am have good deals weekly. Getting someone to open a case for toiletries just isn't ideal.

Our first Target we ever visited. Love it. When we even moved to California and visited it once in a while it looked a bit less organized and not clean, but still love it

The recent policy of putting half the products behind locked windows has ruined the shopping experience here. You want a thing, you press a button, wait 2 minutes, no one shows up. Not to mention it’s insulting to treat every customer like a shoplifter. (Why don’t they just check items at the exit if theft is such a problem?) I used to come here for staples but I’ll go elsewhere now.

Dressing rooms? Nearly all closed. Need anything from the general pharmacy, personal care (toothpaste, soap, face wash, shaving cream), laundry detergents, or men’s socks & underwear? Be prepared to press a button and wait. Chronically understaffed, ridiculous long check out lines — even for pick up! — there’s almost no value or joy in shopping at Target. I’ll be shopping ANYWHERE else.

Most days its understaffed, shelves are rarely stocked, too many items locked in cases, clearly staff what staff there is is under paid and over worked. Maybe its poor corporate oversight or maybe bad management but this place is in bad shape.

With the new policies implemented everything is locked up, toothpaste, deodorant, laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, underwear, socks, baby formula, vitamins, medicine. This in itself is not the issue as shoplifting has risen a lot in the past few years but staff take 5 minutes to open the door for you and when you need to buy a few things that are locked up it can turn a 3 minute trip into an almost 20 minute trip. Needs more efficient door opening by the staff

this target is HUGE! i always go here when i need to get a plethora of things. they always have it in stock. there’s a starbucks and a ulta in the beauty area. which i thought was so cool. the toy area is also huge. i wish the boys section had more of a variety but maybe it’s the season? you can find wine and adult beverages here. it’s really like a one stop shop and reminds me of ikea because it feels like a maze of everything you want to buy. go on a day you can enjoy a slow shopping trip.

Most of the items I planned on buying were available, the store was clean and organized, and my cashier was friendly and efficient with check out. Thank you, Target of Watertown!

Really poor customer experience. I asked a sales associate where the humidifiers were and she just scoffed “I don’t know” and didn’t even try directing me to someone else to help. Then, at the Starbucks, I spent 10 minutes waiting in line even though I was only the second person in line. One of the baristas was taking all the orders and making the drinks, while the order barista was doing inventory of milk, rather than focusing on the customer. Very strange experience.

Used to love this target but now every day essentials (toothpaste, deodorant, Advil) are locked behind cases and you need to flag an employee down. If you want to be in and out or want convenience take your money elsewhere because you won’t find that here anymore. Super frustrating that they added this to the store.

Go there if you don’t mind being disrespected by some employees and wasting your precious time waiting for them to come let you grab whatever you might need that is locked up. Also, huge lines often, be at cashier or self checkout.

For the most part it is a store that has stuff. Better off sticking to bedding and clothes. WILL NEVER BUY FOOD FROM THIS STORE. the absolute worst. Bought frozen meals, the box wasn’t open but the meal in the box was. Bacon purchased, was expired. There is no oversight on this and when you call to address it, their automated system hangs up on you when you try to talk to guest services.

They have everything locked up and it is a pain to get someone to unlock them. Plus I like a little privacy when I am shopping. Well I've been meaning to buy from more mom and pop shops. I guess I have more of a reason to do it or just go online 😞

I went to the Watertown Massachusetts Target to buy some watch batteries that I had seen online. The gentleman name JC that worked there was so kind to help me out and walk with me over to where it should be. It was not there so he had me wait there and then he ran to a couple other places by the registers. It wasn’t there so he told me to follow him to the area in the back of the store while he went to the warehouse area to check the battery section. Again, nothing was there. So he led me to the area to the mall entrance and there was a freestanding battery kiosk there and my batteries were there. In the time that I was walking around the store with him, I was having a conversation and found that he had a really great attitude about working there and helping customers. Also, while I was with him a number of target employees came up to ask him for information. Seems like he’s a real “go to guy” for a lot of the employees. And I could see how patient he was not only with myself, but also with the other employees. Also, when he saw that there was an issue with some thing, he made sure to talk to another employee to correct it. I’m not sure if he is in any sort of management position, but with his people skill, his knowledge and the confidence that other employees have in him, he definitely would make a great manager of some sort. I’ve been in management before and I would certainly be very happy to have him as one of my employees.

Parking space - huge! Hours - awesome! Needs more order in the aisles. Staff is helpful. I didn't find what I came for but still didn't leave empty handed. 😊

Took me 20 minutes to grab one item because the staff rarely have keys and the one that do don’t bother coming over unless you grab someone to call them through the walkie talkie.

What I thought was going to be a quick run into target turned into a nightmare! Everything is locked up. Pretty much have to get an employee for every aisle. Can’t even get toothpaste. I’m a person who likes to read products before getting them and I felt rushed. I know it is not the employees fault- please be kind to them! Overall, Target is going downhill after this new update to their store.

All the shopping carts are garbage. They’re all noisy because of one front, locking tire. People abandon them throughout the store.Only got a couple things, a bag of mandarins was one of them. The barcodes didn’t work on any of the mandarins so I wasn’t able to get them. very minimal fresh produce section. I still give them three stars, because all of the employees were very nice.

Everything is locked up and nobody is available to assist. The management for this store appears quite incompetent as everything has a giant line all the time (order pickups, returns, checkout, self checkout)

Used to be my favorite Target. Now they have put almost all daily essentials behind glass that require a key from staff. Baby section, cleaning section, health and beauty section. It is a complete nuisance now to shop here for these items. Can’t even browse because staff seems frazzled and too busy to unlock (“are you sure you want this one before I open the case??”).They are clearly short staffed so this extra step is just a huge mess now. Nobody can figure out who had the key, leaving customers waiting 5-10 mins to get items like toothpaste!! Guess I’ll just buy online from another retailer next time!

If I could give zero stars right now I would. Used to be my go-to for everything but now it’s a total waste of time. Basically any home essentials are in locked cases even deodorant, soap, toothpaste, razors, cleaning products. You have to alert this sensor and wait for an employee to unlock it. It is an immense waste of time and you aren’t table to browse and look at products bc the employee stands and waits for you otherwise. Especially annoying if you need to do this for multiple aisles, causing you to need to wait in each aisle for an employee to show up.
