Dr. Campbell and Pet Haven took such good care of our dog Odie. The team was always professional, extremely knowledgeable, and caring. They gave us great comfort when he was sick. This is an outstanding vet practice.

Practice refused to see my sick cat with swallowing issues and lesion under his tongue. The next available appointment offered was in a week when I clearly described that he is unable to eat and could die. It seems because he hasn't been seen by them since 2020 because of their lack of availability when I tried scheduling wellness appointments for him, they feel no responsibility for his welfare! Completely heartless and would definitely not recommend them!

We had a wonderful experience at Pet Haven. My five year old cat had an enormous growth between her ears. I'm from chicago and had seen vets in both boston and chicago. I was quoted no less than 4000 dollars-- not even including a biopsy. Just removal. We were devastated at the prospect of not being able to take the Best Care of PJ. ENTER, Pet Haven. Doc practically scoffed at mentions of the 1000s of dollars quoted by previous vets. She and her staff took wonderful care of my kitty-- which we could actually afford.PJ was instantly happier after the procedure. Her quality lof life has certainly improved. All thanks to Pet Haven.Waiting area is clean and comfortable. Staff is punctual, informative, and friendly. Great experience. Before and after photos attached

I am so so happy with Pet Haven. I had switched to a different place that was more convenient for me to travel to for a year or two, but quickly switched back here! The extra time to drive there is worth it -- they listen to you, they're super thorough, and they do a great job of fitting you in when issues come up.

The perfect vet, in my opinion, is one who listens intently to the issue at hand (and any attempted solutions). They give their take on whatever questions the pet owner has. They lend their expertise in evaluating treatment options - in terms of both efficacy and price. And they ultimately leave the decision up to the pet owner.Pet Haven is all of the above. Amazing staff, very friendly and gentle with my anxious cat. My cat came into Pet Haven with vague yet serious pain, and the vet had a recommendation immediately! My cat is 13 years old, and a few months ago her old achey joints started becoming a severe problem - limiting her daily activities, restricting her movement, and affecting her appetite and mental health. The vet at Pet Haven suggested Solensia, which is a monthly injection - far better than trying to feed her an opioid every night which was only somewhat helping her get back to normal. The Solensia has helped my dear Samoa *immensely!* She is back to running, jumping, climbing, and asking to play every night. I can't help but wonder how long her pain was building up to this, but I'm just glad I got into Pet Haven when I did. They've drastically improved her quality of life with one simple solution, and I couldn't be more grateful <3 <3 <3

I am a first-time cat owner who recently had to select a vet for the first time. The staff at Pet Haven were lovely and very helpful in finding an appointment time that worked with my schedule. When I arrived, the office was small, but all staff were masked appropriately and seemed to be taking distancing and other COVID precautions seriously. I also got to meet the office's resident orange tabby, who was quite friendly and definitely gave my cat something to focus on instead of her upcoming shots! We went in for a first exam and some vaccinations; the total cost came to about $200. Dr. McCarthy stopped in after the examination to answer some specific questions I had and to provide recommendations for ongoing vet care. Altogether, I had a wonderful experience. As a new cat parent, it can be intimidating and nerve-wracking to find a practice and get your cat checked out, but I am very glad to have found Pet Haven during my first go-round!

Dr. McCarthy and team did a great job with our golden retriever’s neutering. I was so impressed with the small incision size and the suturing. The incision didn’t bother him after surgery.

Really great people at Pet Haven. Stephanie is wonderful with all the fur babies that walk through the door. If I ever need anything, or have any questions, they always pick up the phone and are happy to answer any questions - which is really important for first time pet owners like us. Highly recommend!

Bait and Switch- Unethical-- About a year ago I visited Pet Haven due to my senior dog needing her teeth cleaned and some teeth extracted. I was given an estimate of $1,010-$1,400. I couldn't afford the procedure at that time and told the staff that I would reschedule when I could. Fast forward to a couple of months ago, I reached out to schedule the dental procedure. I took my dog in for the required lab work again and scheduled her procedure for May 19th. I received a phone call three days prior with pre-op instructions, and all was well…I asked if they could re-send the estimate for the procedure as I couldn’t find the original and when I received the estimate (again 3 days before the surgery) it was nearly $1,000 more. I asked if they could send the original estimate so I could compare. Once they did, I reasonably asked why the delta had changed so much in the past year and their response was, This is the older estimate you requested. You might see a few changes due to Peanut needing more extractions than in the previous year. In addition prices of surgical procedures have also changed and is reflected on the price of the new estimate you had received. Nothing specific as to why it changed so drastically. Not a “she needed 5 extractions last year, now she needs 10, etc… This did not feel great. I was floored that their explanation was so vague. I then responded to inform them that I had been budgeting for what the original estimate max was and given I am being hit with this 2-3 days before the scheduled surgery, it wasn’t sitting well. Not one person from their office called to discuss talk through any of it. I then received a response from them that they could do the procedure in two visits so they can meet my budget vs. explaining the $1,000 difference. I told them that this didn’t give me a good feeling but given we are so far into this and my dog has waited this long, let’s go ahead and move forward. Verbatim my response: Wow. Not quite what I was hoping to hear. Doesn't give me a good ethical feeling as things continue to change. Let's proceed since I have already paid for two pre-exams.Up until the last email response from them, I had been emailing back and forth with a technician, when I received the following email from Colleen McCarthy and Debra Campbell:Since you are questioning our ethical integrity, it is clear that you don't trust us, and trust is the cornerstone of any veterinary-client-patient relationship. Anesthesia and surgery, especially in an older patient with multiple changes on labwork, does not come without risks, and requires the utmost trust between both practitioner and client. I do not feel it prudent that we proceed with Thursday's procedure, and I think it is in you and Peanut's best interest that you find a clinic where you feel more comfortable to proceed with her dental surgery. I've cancelled her surgery, and we will no longer be able to provide medical services for her at Pet Haven Animal Hospital. We will send all of her records in a follow up email as well as her lab results and wish you both the best.Completely floored! Not once did anyone from that office pick up the phone to talk through the increase or specifics of the changes. Instead they canceled the surgery less than two days before it was scheduled AND discontinued my dog as a patient at their facility Why? Well because I questioned their ethics…

This was our first visit with our two cats. Staff was incredibly friendly and the cats' checkup was handled well. Facility seemed clean and well kept. Prices were reasonable as well, at least compared to our last vet, which went corporate a few years ago and charges like it.

Brought our 11 week old puppy in for his first vet visit and everyone was very friendly, helpful, and professional. The whole visit with vaccines and some medicine was a little over $200. Will be returning for all our future dog care needs.

I took our 10 week Jack Russell puppy to Pet Haven Animal Hospital for a wellness check and to set a vaccination schedule. Everyone from the receptionist to the vet were great! They were friendly, knowledgeable, and Fitz (the puppy) loved them. When I mentioned that he was aggressive with other dogs, the vet even went and got her own dog (after they were technically closed for the day) and let Fitz socialize with him. We will definitely be sticking with them for all our puppy needs!

Brought my cat cuddles here few years ago and been with them since. Recently had my kitten Kisses brought in and they were fantastic with her. They had a pair of adoptable kittens in the front area that I want so bad. Great service, very friendly. They even send your pet a birthday card.

Dr. Campbell is wonderful, she goes above and beyond!! She has a fantastic team. She has been taking care of my cat for 13 years and my two dogs since they were pups. I wouldn't go to anyone else.

I found Pet Haven after a horrible experience at VCA City Vet. The experience was completely the opposite. Vet didn't pull a bait and switch and was straight forward about recommendations. Excellent care for my two cats. Highly recommend

I don't know what we would do without Debbie. When our beloved Josie had to be put down 8 years ago my wife and I were devastated! Debbie came to the rescue. She had taken in 2 kitten boys and suggested that we take them home for the weekend. Boo & Paws have been with us ever since. 2 years later we took in 2 stray sister kittens Misty & Gray and Debbie has always been there to keep all 4 in the best of health. She is a dedicated professional!

I have to agree with one of the comments posted already here. I did not find interaction with the receptionists useful and kind enough to help me with the concerns I had for my cats. I also think that during our first visit for my cats I should have been instructed a bit more about the possibility for worm and fleas re-infestation, since we took our pets at a shelter (and unfortunately, reinfestation occurred few weeks after the visit to this vet). I actually once talked in person with one of the receptionist about a "worm" problem and could see the too strong and inappropriate lack of knowledge this person had in the matter. This was really not good, also given that the doctor was just in the same room talking to another patient, I asked if I could talk to the doctor and my request was ignored. So, if we cannot talk to the vet, the other personnel needs to be competent, and also kind enough, but my experience in this place was different from this. I overall found my experience not so positive, and I ma now changing vet.

They are good with your pets, can be difficult to get an appointment due to small office and just a few Vet's. Some people prefer the intimacy of that however. There is off-street parking available.

Really nice staff and vets. They had a clean waiting room, treats for pets and got you into the rooms on time. They did not try to price gouge you, which is always appreciated.

HORRIBLE. Don’t ever go here especially if you are low income! Wouldn’t do treatment for my dog even though they told me I could do a payment plan before hand! They suggested I hand the dog AND my cat over to them and give them up! Crazy!!

Don’t come here, they think they’re knowledgeable about dogs but are far from it. Extremely rude and don’t know how to handle big dogs. Told my friend off because my dog was excited. Stay away from this place.
