Great vets, they take good care of my babies every time i bring them.

I am hesitant to leave this review as Dr. Brinker is a very nice lady. I switched to this vet after my dog’s original vet closed down. My pup was drinking water non-stop and urinating excessively (inside the house which he hadn’t done for 10 years). After probably 2k in testing, I was told it was “behavioral” for which I protested repeatedly. Fast forward 2 months and I brought him to a new vet after he stopped being himself and the vet immediately diagnosed him with diabetes. He was on the verge of hospitalization, had horrible blood work and a UTI as a result of his undiagnosed diabetes. After just one shot of insulin, he is back to himself and has gradually started to drink less water. I am sad that I trusted this vet to take care of my baby only to later find out he was suffering for months. FYI, it’s not hard to diagnose diabetes!!!

I am working myself in the field where customer service and responsiveness is a number one priority.Had my appointment scheduled for 2pm today, when I got there I found a beautiful notice taped to the front door(please see photo attached)Snow emergencies do happen but you have to at least call/email your clients to notify about cancellations.Instead, 45 mins of my time wasted and my cat was stressed on his way to and from the clinic, he needed to get attention from the doctor today but got stress instead.Such a disappointment knowing the fact that I’m very loyal customer and has been bringing 2 of my cats to this clinic. Please work on your work ethic and make your customers the number one priority.Thank you

Just went in for a check up and had to write a review about the vet tech/assistant that came out to get my dog Waldo and ask us a few questions. Her name was Darcy and made Waldo and I feel so comfortable (especially in a semi-high stress environment). Great experience!!

This place has taken care of 4 of my pets and I can honestly say MAMC have been critical to the health, happiness, and quality of life for all of them. My cat and 3 dogs have all been patients, as well as my partner's 2 dogs. From my old sweetheart pitbull, grace, who needed 8 teeth pulled and they stayed 4 hours after closing to care for her to my hound dog that had skin cancer and was there for various skin ailments for years before his death, to both of our new puppies, I am grateful to have Dr. Boardman in charge of their medical care. I have gone to him for years now and he has been knowledgeable, caring, patient, and thoughtful with my pet's care. The vet techs (especially Brianna, but really all of them) have been warm, thoughtful, and thorough when working with my pet's, gathering information, answering questions, and being so kind and caring when dropping off a pet for surgery or an emergency. During those stressful times, I could count of them to answer phone calls and answer questions. 6 pets and 3 generations of pets so far, more to come.I would recommend them to anyone I knew.

I was hesitant to leave this review because up until recently I have never had an issue with this place. I started bringing my puppy to a doctor who no longer works there in November of 2021. Staff and my original doctor were amazing. As of recently I have been disgusted with this place. I took my pup in 2 months ago for an ear infection (he’s prone to them and I’ve brought him in enough times with my old doctor with 0 issues). Somehow I was ran up a bill for over $400 the first time bringing him with this new doctor. Not to mention they cut his nails so short I heard his screaming from the lobby. His nails were all bleeding and split to the base. My dog was limping for months and I’ve been unable to get his nails trimmed elsewhere because I’m being told the splits in his nails need to heal completely to avoid further pain for him. The doctor I most recently have seen has given medicine to him for issues that do not work. After 2 months his ear infection never fully went away. She tried ordering lab testing and giving him the same exact meds that didn’t work, regardless of me telling her what he’s had that worked in the past. Come to find out she prescribed him unmedicated ear cleaning solution then tried to charge me $600 for bringing him back a second time. There is no reason I should be paying $1000 in 2 months for my ear infection prone dog to get proper treatment that works. My old doctor never over charged me , the new vets seem to only care about high ticket prices and not about actually helping your animal.

Our annual physical experience ended with a front desk attendant rudely sating we did not "understand the doctor" and did not bring a sufficient amount of fecal matter for the lab test. Fighting with clients is a thing of the past, not to mention that telling someone they did not "listen to the doctor", when the doctor's assistance said "you only need a tiny bit" shows how low quality this place has become. When speaking to another vet, they advised us that they typically tell people to bring back a teaspoon or two in the container. Simply awful customer service...

I took my very anxious 15 year old cat here for a wellness visit, and they were great! They were able to prescribe some medication for his anxiety to take prior to the visit to make it a bit less stressful for him.The staff was great, we got checked in and the vet tech came right out and asked some questions about any concerns we had with Thumper, and she brought him right back to be seen. The vet tech came out to get my fiance and I to come into the exam room, and Dr. Oliver couldn't believe Thumper was 15!I couldn't believe how calm Thumper was on the exam table, while the vet tech was petting him. It was great! Dr. Oliver and the vet tech handled him so well, and kept him nice and calm during the visit. It was a pretty quick visit, and it wasn't as stressful as I thought it was going to be for my handsome boy.Highly recommend Dr. Oliver, and the vet tech (I wish I knew her name). They were both so kind and understanding of Thumpers needs and anxiety.

My Standard Poodle is 15 years old and I credit this incredible medical center for his long life. And my previous Standard lived to 13 because of the great care received there, I am extremely grateful to the wonderful doctors and vet techs for their professionalism while also always being welcoming!

Horrible people. Horrible service. they have taken on toomany pets and do not care. I took my puppy in for a sickvisit. he was given a quick exam - was told he had a puppy cold and was given an antibiotic. when i called a few days later because his symptoms were worse i was told they are fully booked cannot see me and a dr. would call me. that never happened. My puppy ended up overnight at the ER due to their negligence. I made a call to the office on 4/2 asking to speak with the manager and the Dr who examined my puppy and was assured I would get a callback. They never called. At my next scheduled appointment I spoke with Mr.Callanan - an owner who never introduced himself andtold me he was a manager dismissed my complaint. told me they are just too busy and its not their fault. I told him the least they could do is pay for his follow up X-ray where he arrogantly responded "that's not going to happen". I let him know they would hear from my lawyer. he then refused to give my puppy his required vaccines. (After keeping him in the back room for 10 minutes) Clearly they do not care about our pets. terrible people. terrible doctors. They should take note from the daycare next door who has present mangers who are always available and care about our dogs. Friendly staff and approachable owner who will greet you with a smile.Zero stars for mass animal medical center and theirArrogant greedy owners

My elderly mom took her dog to this clinic for 4 years. They fail to bill for the services like taking tests and pump your dog with medications while happily taking your money for the vet appointment. If you go there, be prepared to waste $230 for the appointment, receive medications while they won't perform stool sample because THEY forgot to bill you. They won't call you (they claim they called multiple times which is their ridiculous excuse), email or send you a text message that they messed up. They are dangerous for your pet because they prescribe meds without performing any meaningful tests. Also, if you want to refill your prescriptions you are held hostage to vist the place even if your pet is current on all of his or her shots. If you care about your pet, don't come there.

The staff and vets are professional and took good care of both our dogs. Doctor Kennedy always followed up with us. I've been taking my animals here for two years and have recommended mass animal to my friends.

The staff and vets here are the kindest and most professional people I've ever taken my pets to. My dog Candy had a medical emergency last year and they took such good care of her, called me constantly when they held her there to let me know she was still okay, and answered all my questions with care and empathy. Dr. Kennedy helped me both times I brought her.I can't say enough about how great they are!Highly recommend. Best vets I've ever had.

Context: I brought both my dogs here (starting in Nov 2021), we no longer go to this vet.Mochi - Shiba Inu, Male, DOB: Oct 19, 2021Midori - Dachshund, Female, DOB: Dec 8, 2010The good:- Most of the vet techs we've seen have been excellent, they obviously care about the dogs, they'll get down on their level and talk to them :)- Dr. Adam Boardman is great, very down to earth, both dogs love him- Using the petpro connect app has made it very easy to get medication refills and schedule appointments (for the most part)The not so good:For one of Mochi's puppy vaccination appointments (his rabies vaccine @ 5 months old), Dr. Boardman wasn't available. Instead, we saw Dr. Kennedy. Because COVID restrictions are still in place, you aren't allowed in the rooms during their appointments and instead have to wait in the lobby. Well, after this visit, Dr. Kennedy casually mentioned that he had to use a muzzle on Mochi. For one vaccine. That's all the visit was, just ONE VACCINE. A <20lb shiba inu puppy with no bite history, no muzzle training to build the trust NECESSARY to use a muzzle on a shiba (he was not ready to start yet), and no issues receiving any vaccines up to that point.Prior to that visit, I've always been told how cooperative and sweet Mochi was (from the vet techs and Dr. Boardman), especially how friendly and "unshiba-like" he is. Dr. Boardman said he would give Mochi a treat and he was unphased by any of the shots or exam. I understand if a vet is concerned about their safety and the potential for a dog to bite them... but the fact that I wasn't asked, I wasn't even TOLD it would be a potential thing that might happen. If I had been told they use muzzles without consulting the owners, I'd have taken Mochi elsewhere.I realize most owners don't think their aggressive dogs are "aggressive" but this is a puppy who has gone through extensive desensitization training, three months of obedience training with a professional trainer, and has never displayed any aggression towards people or dogs. He's from a reputable breeder, has an excellent temperament, but he is a shiba and they don't trust easily. I'm sure it wouldn't be as big of a deal with a more agreeable dog like a golden retriever or a lab, but it is HARD to gain a shiba's trust back. Now Mochi won't even let us put harnesses over his head. For a few weeks after, he would actually yelp (something he'd never done), run, and hide as soon as he saw me pick it up. Every vet visit after this, Mochi would whine and pant frantically. He went from being the most compliant happy dog AT THE VET to absolutely hating the vet. I've been working with desensitization training for him since the day I brought him home. One visit with Dr. Kennedy regressed him back to a state that he'd never even been in. It's been 5 months since this happened and he will still hide under the couch if I pick up an over the head harness (even with professional trainer consultations, attempting to desensitize him by wearing it on a belt clip and not touching him with it). We can't even move past the initial steps of muzzle desensitization because of this vet's inexperience with shibas (maybe even all primitive breeds).Aside from that experience, checking out after appointments takes way too long. When you've got a frantic dog who just wants to leave, sitting in the lobby for 10-20 minutes waiting for them to call you up to the counter to pay isn't ideal.Their prices also seem pretty high (not the "Office visit" itself, but all the itemized things outside the billed visit cost), but I'm not sure what the standard is for this area. Here's some examples below:Office visit - Medical Progress Bloodwork: $56Office visit - Technician: $32Office visit - Medical Progress Exam: $59Office visit - Veterinarian Exam/Consult: $78Biohazardous waste disposal fee: $5.25Bordetella vax: $35Lepto vax (each dose): $47Rabies vax: $35Antech Vetscreen (CBC panel, basic bloodwork): $217.19Neutering for 22 lb, male dog (<1yr old): $608.54

The first visit I had here was amazing super successful which is probably what they are told to do to get you to come back.Every time after that each visit the service got worse and worse. I payed for medication they forgot to put it in the bag when they brought my dog to the car. I don’t live near by so huge inconvenience. I had medication scheduled to pick up I live far away when I went to pick it up they said the medication was no longer available and I would have to set up another appointment for my dog to get it.Do not got here EXTREMELY expensive and horrible experiences.

My kitties don't like visiting the vet but this place makes it as easy as possible. We have been using this office for 5 years since we got our cat brothers. Due to Covid you can't go in with your pet, recommend dressing in light fabrics their parking lot is very hot on a warm day.

They saw my yorkiepoo on short notice. They were great. No extra services were pushed upon us. They cared more about my dog then the money they could make. Loved Dr. Naomi Oliver, she is FANTASTIC!!! Wish there was more Veterinary Dr. Like here out there.

Today was our first time at Mass Animal medical center and it was a great experience! All of the staff were very friendly and informative. You can when you get there and they come and get your pet. And then they call you when they are finished to explain everything and then bring out your pet. Would definitely recommend!!

Their staff is not very friendly or caring. Booking an appointment takes forever, even on their puppy plan (which costs around $800), "because of an in-flood of new patients due to covid, the wait time for the appointment is 3 months". Shouldn't they focus on taking care of their existing patients first? Why even offer the plan if you can't accommodate the time?

Wish I could give them zero stars. I know this is a long review....short version is stay away!!!For three years I told our vet that my dog would limp periodically after a long walk or afternoon at the park. Each time I told them, the vet would say don't worry he's probably just sore. After telling them that this is not normal, they had to sedate my adult dog for x-rays and then gave him back to be while he was still under sedation and ushered me out the door. I literally had to carry my dog out to my car. Not only that the 700 dollar x-rays were inconclusive. They told me that it was due to a degenerative condition that German Shepherds develop with age (he was five). She told me that this was the beginning and there was no way to tell how quick he would go.Took him for a second opinion and within five minutes the other vet knew my dog had a partial tear of his ACL. Over 5 years later the dog is still doing well and is now almost 11.We also brought our other dog here as a puppy. He had several visits in his first year for vaccinations. Each time he would see someone different, there was no consistency. When he was about five months old we noticed a bump on his snout. We asked the vet at our regular visit for a vaccination and was told "no big deal" and that it was probably a mole. Obviously we took the advise of the professionals and didn't worry about it. About a month later we went back for the next series of vaccines. We pointed out the bump again to this doctor, who immediately had a look of panic on his face after examining it. We brought him for to a specialist and within a week he was having surgery to have a tumor removed which we learned after was cancerous.I will drive a little further for quality care.

Very friendly, professional service offered here. We were referred here when our old vet was detained, and we've since switched here. They are true animal lovers. The facility is lovely. The reception, techs and doctors are all kind and patient. I highly recommend them!

We’ve been using this place for years but yesterday they didn’t read medical records correctly. I brought in 2 kittens for their 4th distemper shot as directed by Mspca where I adopted the kittens. Kittens were born September 22 and each received 3 distemper shots at MSPCA by the time I picked them up. They only needed a 4th and final shot. The vet said they received only 2 shots and for me to return again for the 4th shot in 3 weeks. After I got home I carefully read the records to confirm that indeed they had 3 shots prior to yesterday which means they are now complete with 4 shots before 16 weeks.

I have a theory about vet's offices. There are the old fashioned, one-vet kind, usually small, a little dingy, but cheaper and they treat you like family. Then there are the big shiny fancy ones with many vets (often not staying long), convenient but expensive and not always very warm. This place gives you the best of both worlds. It's large and has several vets yet they know you and are polite and helpful. Our vet Dr. Boardman is fantastic: thorough, down-to-earth and kind, even with our often ill-behaved critters. They are open 7 days a week (yes really) which means eventually you'll save a bundle not having to go to the emergency vet (such as the Sunday when our dog ate the corncob). I've been to lots of vets and this is one of the best I've encountered.

I have been a doggy daddy all my life and had several vets. These vets are great! They are not yet so hardened that they have lost touch on thier human side yet they treat every case and concern with puppy gloves.
