If your an animal owner or lover this is the store for you. It’s clean, organized, well stocked with all types of animal products including exotic reptiles. I had a sick turtle which I rescued over a year ago and vet couldn’t see him over weekend so I went to my local pet store for eye drops and turtle care products. They had none not one store in western mass . Until I called these guys and they had a whole kit for my turtle needs. Thank you so much Britany for assisting me. Thank you if I could give you ten stars I would.

This location always has handfuls of different shaped and sized cookies that my dogs love. The jackets fit perfectly and the staff is always helpful. Can only find the beef cheeks here and are fairly priced!

Took my pup for his yearly vaccinations. All employees including the vet were very nice and helpful. Very friendly. They all interacted great with our pup. The store was nice and clean. Stocked well. One item I looked for they didn't carry but it's a great store.

They have a lot of products I need for my pet grooming business. The only thing is that the prices went way up. And the cat food is more expensive than Big Y.

Prompt service, was able to find what I needed. Prices haven't seemed to go up like everything else in the world so pretty happy about that. I do wish they had more of a selection of the FROMM brand foods.

Love this store. The staff is always a huge help. What they don't know, they will find someone on staff who does. The prices aren't bad and they always send coupons. Lots of products to choose from, you can find pretty much and brand of food you want. I would recommend getting your supplies for pets here.

I stopped in because our store in Stafford Springs closed a while back and I happened to be in the area. I miss certain products that I use for my cats, like the Cedarific cat litter, which is difficult to find...Store was neat, clean, but set up oddly...regarding the cat food isles. But not a big deal.I miss having this place in my hometown/nearby.

They have a lot of variety of cat and dog foods, treats, toys, beds, etc and they're fairly priced. They also have a variety of suppliers for reptiles, rodents, and birds.

Best pet store in my opinion. They have a big variety of pet food and supplies. They give you points and send coupons. Quite a few sales also. Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend giving them a try.

Take care of your live animals. I am a huge Smithland supply supporter, but not for this specific location in Ware. Their animals are horribly taken care of and this cannot continue.I leave this review in the nicest way possible, but I truly wish you’d hire employees who knew how to take care of their fish. I bought 3 fish and now all my fish (3 different fish tanks) have come down with a mysterious disease, either a flesh eating bacteria or a parasite. Now, I understand it’s not the employees’ faults for not knowing how to take care of fish, but to whoever does the hiring, PLEASE find good fish keepers! I’m losing a lot of money in fish if any more die, along with the hassle of having to move shrimp out of the tank so I can treat it, doing water changes and adding treatment to all the tanks every day! I’ll add that this does not happen often, as every fish keeper I’ve talked to told me that whatever disease my fish are suffering from has never happened to them. Their tanks are filthy and horribly maintained.Not to mention, this part that most certainly is the manager/employee’s fault, but when I went to pick up treatment for what I think is the issue, there were two boxes of treatment left and one of them was an expired box from 6 months ago. I brought it to the cashier and gave it to her, explaining it was expired. When my sister went back in the store a few days later, she found the same exact box sitting back on the shelf. Treatment is expensive enough, if I didn’t check the expiration date, not only would it have been a waste of money, but ALL my fish would definitely die (again, 3 different tanks.)I am not leaving this review to hurt your business, however I’m leaving it in hopes that this doesn’t happen to everybody else. Me and my sister have been taking care of fish for over 10 years, and we’ve never had this issue.Please, hire people that care, that know how to take care of fish, who’ve had experience and who don’t put expired items back on the shelves.

I've been here for pet food & was very happy with their selection, prices, & service. Very friendly employees that seem to know their stuff about what their store carries & very helpful also. Wide variety of items, including sweet treats for dogs. They also sell a few small animals including fish & more. I would recommend. Even though it's a much smaller store than say Petco, it does most likely have what you need! And for better costs.

Great petstore. Went above and beyond. Yesterday morning I went in for a dog wash. Not only did the cashier show me where it was, she showed and explained how to use the dog was she made sure everything was over there ready to go. She was also very knowledgeable about food and treat recommendations.

I recently went in for a dog wash for my shepherd mix. The staff was so friendly and helpful. They washing area was clean and easy to use. The shampoo and conditioner they provided really helped get the smell off my dog. I highly recommend coming here if you want a safe and inexpensive place to clean your dog.

The staff are very helpful, friendly and willing to answer any questions that you may have. Prices are great too. I would definitely recommend going to Smithland over PetCo or any other large chain pet supply store.

After a miscommunication yesterday my issue was fixed today and I'm pleasantly pleased with the outcome. Kayla was very accommodating and understood my need for privacy away from other dogs while fitting my dog with a muzzle. She made she that not only my dog was comfortable but us as well. Ended up being a great experience and will definitely continue to go there for all my dogs needs! Special thanks to Kayla♡

Have to give a star but definitely didn't want to. Ive bought fish twice from this store. The sell fish with ick. 90$ worth of fish. Infected my established tank and killed my fish i had for over a year. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Got amazing service from the girl at the register. Unfortunately the 4 other people working (manager, assistant manager & someone obviously above them & a girl stocking dog food made eye contact & continued to ignore us waiting at the register. The girl that waited on us was helping another customer, apologized to us, called for help at the register & the others still fid nothing!! I will NEVER shop at this Dave's again.

Great variety of food & animal care products. Toys too! Was lazy & bought expensive food at Walmart to find half-way thru bag it was all CONTAMINATED🤮 Went straight to Smithland to find exactly what my Afghan Hounds needed & some Salmon oil too! Great local business thats been open as long as I can remember. I always liked going as a kid to have their funky craft sodas of all types, even sometimes silly joke flavors you would never want to try.There are tons of pet supplies to pick from. Really anything that you might need. Also a wide variety of dry and wet food. They have many holistic and grain free options. And sometimes live animals for adoption, like small critters and fish.

The only place in the area where I can get frozen mice for my snake! If it wasn't for that, I would not yet foot in there! While the employees are awesome, it is overpriced and every single fish I have ever purchased there died! (I am very experienced with fish keeping and even low quality Walmart fish have a better survival rate)

Absolutely wonderful store. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Sara, Lindsey and Nick have helped us with the care and safety of our animals and are just wonderful! We have been customers of this store for years and highly recommend it.
