Always clean, good small supermarket. Really good pizza! Big Y is the standard for a real pizza. It's not a frozen pizza like some of these places and says it's fresh!

Would be zero stars.After finding the seafood prices today ridiculously temporarily inflated, (SEE USURY), $18.99/lb for a chicken lobster...this is an UNBELIEVABLE RIP OFF ATTEMPT! Fish prices were equally inflated.Like when an oil refinery in the mid-east blows up, gas prices hike by fifty cents a gallon? Spring storm, why NOT DOUBLE the price?I then stopped at the butcher shop and the guy that asked me what I wanted did not even know what PRIME grade beef was. He said he had NEVER heard of that term!Are you kidding me?

Really gross deli - consider yourself warned. I am done with shopping here. Every time I order something from the deli it comes with some mystery brown liquid and chunks of...something.... smeared all over the inside of the bag and there's I-dont-know-what stuck to the edges of the slices of cheese. Mind you, this happened immediately after they said it'll be just a few minutes because they have to clean the slicer. Absolutely disgusting.

Prices opress the impoverished and you can be a faithful customer and they watch you every time .at self checkout they can be selective at who they approach and basically stand next to you as you are making your purchase highly discriminatory!

Many thanks and appreciation to Big Y for a job well done. I chose to have them make platters for my daughters graduation party and I couldn’t be happier. Thanks to the deli department, the produce department, the bakery and the florist. The meat and cheese platters were more than enough and tasted great. The quality of the plastic that they were served on are reusable and super nice. They were garnished to look good too. The fruit and vegetables were fresh and tasted great. The cupcakes and rolls were fresh and the frosting was perfectly sweet. The graduate decorations made them festive and the colors were vibrant. The balloons were perfect for the occasion. All of the food and decorations were ready to go when I arrived. One stop shopping at a super affordable price for what you got. The staff were friendly and helpful. They were happy to assist us. Thanks again for making the party a success. I highly recommend Big Y for any party or event. My first choice for any gathering. Job well done!!!

Big y has some of the freshest produce and meats in the local area. They have an in store butcher for your custom cut needs, as well as a nice seafood dept alongside their deli dept. They've been a local staple for as long as I can remember. The weekly sales make for an affordable trip, and it's always a pleasant atmosphere. Add the friendly staff, and it's a must shop 🙂

Did not have any of Snapple diet mango tea that was on sale. Unfortunately do to the pandemic alot of their products are slim PickensWent for small items they still had very little bread on shelves?5/14/23Love the store they have unique snacks that are actually good for you.The chowder today was way to fishy tasting and salty. Sorry all. Don't get it unless that what you like2/16/23Had what I needed today. Still no low carb bread I buy even though the sales man at another store said they carried it. They don't.9/14/23Went in for dinner and end d up buying two rotisserie chicken. They were an excellent price 8.99 for one or two for 14$. So I bought the two great price and they were very hot. Smelled delicious and that's what's for dinner many nights. Thank you for the delicious chickens.1/27/24Went to purchase potato salad and my husband wanted Snapple apple zero sugar. They actually had it and it was on sale. We also bought the last four bags of fireballs because we absolutely love them. Funny what you can find at the big y. Thank you for having these little pleasures in your store. We appreciate it.

It's really expensive and Ludlow Massachusetts traffic is a nightmare it's take 20 minutes to go a mile.Big y makes you buy your own bags Walmart does not. I don't recommend Big y unless you have money to waste.

The sushi really is very good and fresh, the chef is super friendly and will quickly make you beautiful platters to order as well. Highly recommend

Ordered a pizza from Ware Big Y for the first and last time. It was cooked to DEATH. Had to pick it up, go home and find out it was garbage, drive back to the store, and all I got was a refund; not even an apology. Way to go, Big Y!

these people took away my savings card with out any explanation while i attempted to use it. they have a real attitude..that is ok their sales suck. we do much better at hannafords who offer better coupons, a cleaner store, produce that is fresh and edible. at the big y we have seen them taking off the rotted leaves of greens and they they put them back out as fresh!!!huh..they should just throw it in the dumpster!if you have an issue the management direct you to springfield head quarters..the are even more arrogant than the people at the store level. they say 100% satisfaction or your money back. not true. all around we will never shop there again!They never return phone calls and only respond to ratings they like and charge for bags!!! in these tough times they should give them away!!they take old ground beef off the shelf and mix it with fresh. if that was the only place to buy food I would rather starve!

Very well presented. They have the biggest variety of frozen pizza I've ever seen in one store. The store is always clean and well stocked. The bakery displays are picturesque. As if they were going to be featured in a magazine. The chocolate truffle cake was rich without being too sweet. I will definitely buy it again.

Very clean, I'm sure is not only a major issue for me, but also for many others. I have always found the Ware Big Y to be spotless and always very well stocked. The younger staff working the evening shift (when I shop) and managers are always very polite ready to assist the customer.

My biggest gripe is with the butcher. Why can't they get someone helpful and friendly? Seriously. It just is unpleasant.Next, the produce and dairy are often stocked with spoiled food.At these prices, I expect better service and food!

Tried a different store today thinking maybe I was wrong. Store smelt prices were again rediculous. You have bring or buy your own bag where are we save a lot. If I have to pay twice as much as anywhere else can I at least get some damn bags. Furthermore employees are standing around all over the place you want to save money get people to do their job. And one more thing I understand that steak costs money but $26 is outrageous

For me. this Big Y branch is very conveniently located across the street from my Apartment Complex. I enjoy their weekly specials. I really enjoy the even greater savings on sales you load onto your Big Y card.

I love Big Y but this past year it has been harder to find fresh produce here. I have found moldy oranges and the white mushrooms are usually completely brown. A lot of the employees are still friendly and helpful and they still carry a variety of products for a smaller store.

Good supermarket to get a variety of food & other products. Loyalty program might not be as great as other supermarkets, but it's something. Big bonus is getting discounts at other businesses with having the loyalty program card here. Reasonable locations across the region. Would recommend getting a membership card here in a pinch. It's free.

I have been a customer of this Big Y for several years & they do have much room for improvements. I probably should've gave less stars actually. But the store is clean & presentable, with most employees being friendly & sometimes helpful. The prices are not the best, and I've noticed that many sale items aren't really that great of a deal, considering they sometimes seem to raise the prices to make you think you're getting a great bargain, when you're really not. Other stores sell the same exact items for less regularly. Even Big Y brand items aren't all that cheap. For example, canned vegetables. Right now they have a sale 4 for $3 on Big Y canned corn. Wal-Mart sells their brand of canned corn for about 50 cents everyday low price. I don't mind going to Big Y because it's closer to me than Wal-Mart & often less crowded, but they also need to open more cash registers on busy days, such as weekends. I've been there & seen only 2 or 3 registers open before which makes for very lengthy lines & wait time. Also the pizza shop recently messed up our order & this was a major inconvenience, as it was for my daughter's birthday party. We ordered a party size pizza in plenty of advance (hours prior to when we needed it) and made it very clear to the employee who took the order by phone that we wanted half combo (sausage, pepperoni & onion) & half with only cheese, because my children only like cheese on their pizza. I sent a friend to pick it up & was very disappointed to find that they had made the entire pizza combination. I called to complain & they told me they couldn't take the pizza back, but did say they would make a new one for us, which of course would take more time. So I had to send my friend out again, because we were in the middle of a birthday party like I said & everyone was waiting to eat. So it was pretty upsetting & when he arrived, it still wasn't ready yet, so this was not too great. Plus we were stuck with a whole party size pizza that we never ate, because who can realistically eat 2 party pizzas??? I've also had issues with their bakery in the past. I called to inquire about a rum cake for a friend. We figured why not get one from a grocery store, rather than an expensive bakery. I specifically asked whether they did in fact have a rum cake available & the gentleman I spoke with in the bakery department confirmed that they did in fact sell them. We then went in person only to be told by a different man that they did not sell them @ their bakery. I explained how I was told otherwise & even asked the gentleman to be sure of this as we were looking to purchase one (short notice) for a birthday. The man asked us who I spoke to on the phone, but I did not get his name unfortunately, but did provide him with the date/time of the call, so they could've easily figured out who took my call. Anyhow, I would've liked for them to explain to other's that this inaccuracy caused problems for customers, because we were told something that wasn't true & wasted our time going to the store for an item that they didn't carry. I would have @ least liked an apology for the mistake on their behalf, regardless of whom answered the phone, but I did not receive one. They just kept repeating how they didn't have the rum cakes & weren't sure why I was told that they did. Also they do not have self checkouts, which would make a very helpful addition. They do however have clean restrooms available for customers to use. I am glad to see that they have employees wearing masks & also sanitizing shopping carts. Another issue I've had with this store is their inability to help customers on WIC. Though some employees do understand how this program works, others do not. I also find it absurd that they charge you for paper bags if you do not remember to bring your own reusables from home. Why charge paying customers for a bag that they're most likely just going to throw away once emptying out their groceries @ home? We already spend enough @ your store, you really can't give us paper bags for free?🙄 Bakery frequently messes up orders too! Uo

The staff is always friendly and helpful. I've shopped a few times with a special needs child and a handicapped adult. They watch over her walker while she uses the power chairs and they are patient with my special needs child when she wants to talk about Toy Story. Some even say hi to her Woody doll which she LOVES. He is her best friend.

Let me just say patience is a virtue, and the folks that work here are virtuous. I've seen some of the worst customers there still he treated with respect that they don't deserve. The Staff at BigY in Ware are fantastic.

Big y has gone totally anti senior citizens! I looked at this week's flyer all the specials are downloaded on your smart phone!I don't have a smart phone nor do many seniors I know! I've shopped here for years ! I never will again
