The staff at the pharmacy wasn’t doing anything in the back of the store. The front of the store was slammed. I walked to the pharmacy to ask them to unlock the mucinex to purchase. They went over the store speaker to call for someone to help me in the aisle unlock the mucinex.I’m standing in the aisle writing this…waiting for someone in the front of the store to unlock the mucinex still… There are multiple people working in the back. While There is hardly anyone working the front. This store is poorly run. Pharmacy staff needs to be given a set of keys so they can better assist customers and stop being so lazy. They also could just walk to the front of the store and grab the key themselves. They clearly don’t care about customers.

The pharmacy pickup/cashier staff was very rude. Her demeanor and tone of voice sounded like she was very irritated. I wanted to pick up a prescription, she said I had to wait one hour and pointed to the pharmacy tech saying he's the only oneworking right now. Like I was supposed to know that. She couldn't be more kind and apologize that they are short of staff, and the wait would be a little while. Then I went back just to ask a question because my son has an infection and needed antibiotics, if I will get a notification when it's ready. Someone else helped, she yelled over, "I already told her it will be one hour." She was getting mad at me! Extremely rude. 20 min later they tell me it's not in stock. Called another pharmacy and transfered my prescription out of there. Never ever stepping into that store again.

The people in the pharmacy are a very unhappy group of people and they take it out on the customers. They almost never answer their phone and say they will contact you when your prescription is ready but don't most of the time. You just have to go over and hope. And good luck if you are buying anything else in the store. They won't let you pay for anything else in the pharmacy even pharmacy items! And there is always a line up front with one person working. There are so concerned you get your phone number entered are trying to sell you their cvs plan, that it holds up everything.

Not happy with a rude way the Pharmacy employee Jonathan Huie communicated with me on March 18, 2024. I expect much more from a CVS pharmacy employee to greet the customers not treating them with mean way. He did not want to spend time to fix a tag on my pills and put me on hold for 1.5 hours and being disrespectful to me in front of other patients. He needs some training from the managers to communicate way better with the customers and patients. He could have made ready the refill in 10 min but intentionally said come in 1 hour then changed his mind and said 1.5 hour. This is an example of poor customer service of a pharmacy employee, poor leadership, business ruining employee. He has serious attitude not healthy for the pharmacy.

I have been here 6 times after being informed a prescription was ready for pick up, and every single time it is not ready and I am asked to wait 20-30 minutes for them to prepare it. I understand that they are over staffed, but they should have a little respect for their customers by at least giving an accurate pick up time, even if that pick up time is delayed.

Look CVS is usually not great.....this one is absolutely awful. Nick is actually the only good thing about the place...he's great he'll take care of you.The pharmacy is poor at best. They will not answer the phone. You can hear how many calls are on hold while you wait in like for 30+ minutes. Nobody bothers with it. I've been on hold for over an hour trying to get through before.Scripts can go unfilled for days, then you get there to get them and you still have to wait an hour to fill them and get through the line because you can't call. They screwed up my insurance and told me they couldn't do anything. Insurance was fine, CVS screwed up. So that was 2 hours of my life I'll never get back.Go literally anywhere else.....yikes.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the exceptional service provided by Victoria, the pharmacist at CVS Harvard St, Waltham. I recently had a situation where I urgently needed to pick up my medication, and Victoria went above and beyond to assist me, even though the pharmacy was about to close.Thank you once again, Victoria, for your exceptional service and for going above and beyond to help me. Your commitment to your profession and your customers is truly commendable, and I am grateful for the positive experience I had under your care.

At each visit, I note understaffed pharmacy, long lines (30min or more), unable to get through on phone, delayed fills (generally over eight hours, and filled only when in store). I do not recommend this CVS if you need a medication the same day.

Had an urgent prescription sent to this location since they were the only CVS open near me. Arrived 45 minutes before the pharmacy closed... and they were closed due to short staff. I suppose I understand an unforeseen problem - BUT - the prescription was 'in process' so it couldn't be transferred to another pharmacy. I needed it filled that night. If they knew they were short staffed and about to close early, why mark the prescription as in process??

Got a COVID-19 booster shot this morning. The process was very quick. Katy (not sure if I got her name right) was so professional, friendly, and quick! After she called my name, it was less than a few minutes (2 mins answering my questions 😅). I don't feel any pain at all (I'm nervous about needles. By the time I started to think about it, it's done!). Thank you!P.S. If I may add. Perhaps it would be great to have more people working there - not just two?

The line to pick up at pharmacy was 15 people deep with one pharmacist. They ended up bringing another cashier from the front of the store to help ring. When I asked if I could use the bathroom, the new manager said I couldn’t. Which I’m used to before I was allowed to use the bathroom if I asked since I was a customer, I had to wait 45 minutes to get my prescription that was already waiting for me

As I stand here in line at the CVS on Harvard street in Waltham, I am confused at why this pharmacy is either perpetually understaffed or backed up. This has been a problem for many months. CVS management can you hear your customers walking away? What happened?

Personally I've never had issues with prescription filling delays or miscommunications on that front like many other reviewers have. I always receive an email with a link to check the prescription status including an option to request an expedite. It usually shows as ready within a few hours and I've been able to pick up about a dozen scripts with no problems.I am giving 4 stars for the sometimes high refill prices (this may just be my insurance) as well as how often I'm seeing other folks having issues.

My prescriptions were always filled slightly behind schedule, but I stayed because it seemed like a hassle to switch pharmacies. Then a few months ago they straight up gave me the wrong medication—the bottle had my name and prescription and the tablets looked similar to mine, but it was a different medication. I took a medication that was not prescribed to me (at a high dosage) for 5 days and felt so awful I had to miss work for 3 days. I only figured out what happened because I eventually recognized the symptoms of withdrawal from my medication. That was what finally got me to switch pharmacies, and now I use the Hannaford across the street. If you’re considering using this CVS pharmacy I strongly urge you to do the same.

I refuse to go to the pharmacy (even though it’s very close to my house) because they’re rude, take insanely long to fill any Rx, and the lines are always terrible. Today I bought an item clearly marked half off but it rang up full price. Two different employees attempted to override the price but couldn’t figure out how. I asked them to call a supervisor and they said “our only supervisor today is buried in the pharmacy so she won’t come.” No one trains these employees and my god are they understaffed.

Unless you live really close by, don't go to this pharmacy. I personally don't mind this CVS, because I have a flexible work schedule and can go during the work day when things are less busy. If you go during a busy time (lunch, after work, etc), expect to wait in a long line. Around 2pm it's not so bad. I'm kind of surprised that they're still in business based on the disorder behind the pharmacy counter, but it's nice to have a pharmacy within walking distance, and the people are nice enough.

Such a rude and disrespectful pharmacy, treated me like garbage and said they were too busy when I went 3 hours before they closed

Awful, just awful! Their pharmacy is the absolute worst I’ve ever dealt with. I spent 37 mins on hold and then was hung up on before I had the opportunity to say anything.I transferred my prescription to the Walgreens down the street and no problems.

They simply just do not answer the phone, any issues whatsoever they just put your prescription on hold without telling you or your prescriber and then don't answer your calls to try and address the issue. Doesn't matter the time of day or day of the week, they simply don't take calls. Save yourself the headache of literally showing up in person to resolve issues, go to Walgreens or another CVS.

Really awful CVS on all fronts. (pharmacy but also retail)I had a prescription called in Monday morning and it appeared as "in-processing" for days. I called 3 separate times for a total hold time of about 45 minutes before someone picked up and I got them to fill it on Friday. No explanation as to why it wasn't filled without intervention.I might consider looking for greener pastures (a better CVS) in an adjacent town or something ... truly awful here.

This place gets worse every single time I go there. I placed a refill order on Monday and got a confirmation they would fill it. Then I walk there tonight and it's not ready. The woman behind the counter was a broken record saying "sorry. I can't do anything about it on my end" you know cause not her department or not her job. But seriously, you are work at the pharmacy counter. I was told to go wait in another line only to be told they don't know why it wasn't filled but that I could wait another 20 for the thing that to be filled that originally should have been filled on Monday. Today is Saturday! Just amazing.

If you have a time-sensitive prescription/medical need, would recommend going to another store. Called 3 times to confirm a prescription was in, they confirmed it was filled, they had me wait in person for 30 minutes, and without explanation said it wouldn’t be filled. This resulted in a 3+ day delay in treatment and lots of completely avoidable pain.

The pharmacy was great and very helpful. I needed a good cough medicine that I can take with high blood pressure and diabetes and she came out of the pharmacy, onto the floor, and literally pointed out what I should take.

CVS on Harvard St. Waltham, MA.Most horrible pharmacy I’ve ever been to in my entire life. Seems like one of the job requirements to work there is to be rude, angry, and unhelpful? If you need a script filled in a timely manner, go elsewhere. If you have a question about your script, go elsewhere. If you don’t want to deal with staff who are ALWAYS rude and treat their customers poorly, go elsewhere.Just transferred all my families scripts to Walgreens. Will never patronize a CVS (any of them) ever again.

It’s hard to imagine how a chain pharmacy could be as poorly run as this CVS is. They are extremely slow to fill prescriptions, and more importanty they don’t answer the phone: they just pick it up and hang it up fast and hope you won’t keep calling back. The level of service here would be shameful in any business, but for a pharmacy it’s downright dangerous to deny patient phone calls. After thinking I just kept catching them on bad days and giving them the benefit of the doubt, it’s been a couple years and I’ve finally decided their close proximity to me isn’t worth the headaches. Do yourself a favor and find a different pharmacy.

Laughably terrible. They don’t respond to calls or if they do you’ll be on hold for over an hour. They’ll say your prescription is ready and then make you wait over an hour if not days for them to fill it. Old lady working at the pharmacy was rude. Just go to Walgreens instead.

Weird or slow stocking. Went in for 3 normal items. They only had 1 thing on my list.

I called the CVS pharmacy up the road (Linden St.) to transfer a prescription and a wonderful pharmacist told me that my medication wasn't in stock, but that this CVS (Harvard St.) had it and would be able to refill it for me today. When I called, I was asked for information they should've already had and told it would take at least two days to refill. The pharmacist on the phone was short and impolite. I called the other CVS back and they took care of the transfer right away and told me he'd have my medication the next day. Recommend you go to the other CVS nearby and avoid this one.
