If you're into Snakes, Lizards, Tortises or Birds this is your place! The staff are passionate and well educated. The woman, I'm guessing is the owner had a real attitude but the guys there were great. They breed a lot of their reptiles and support local breeders as well. My kids loved being able to handle various snakes and learn about them at the same time. I was more than impressed with the store and will definitely be back

The staff here at Bird & Reptile Connection are AMAZING! I've never met people who are so passionate about what they do. These people live and breathe birds and have absolutely no problem talking with you and explaining the intricacies of raising and training birds in a language that anyone can understand. I'm completely blown away by how well trained the birds are here and how much care and attention is given to them. Even though I live quite far away I always enjoy dropping by just to see the birds and have a conversation with the staff. This place is truly one of a kind.

My boyfriend and I love this place. It’s incredibly clean and Joey is hysterical and always great to chat with, as well as Kim and all the staff. They are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. I usually am very skeptical of reptile shops due to bad past experiences but I would absolutely trust these guys with my life. I would dare say they are best of the best I’ve ever seen when it comes to animals. It’s always been a great experience going here. I wouldn’t buy an animal from anywhere else. I love this place, I have a Quaker Parrot and I can always trust that when I speak with staff I will be advised to only buy things that are safe for her species and size. I've received priceless information here that helps me take better care of my baby, and she gets her nails done here too! I'm excited to start buying isopods here now that I've noticed the cool species that come in! Last time I was in I saw Magic Potions! The bioactive enclosures are very neat, I'll have to treat myself to one for my birthday!

Great store to get accessories but very bias for example 2 families came in and was allowed in the back to see the birds with out supervision when a family of color went in the store to look around they were being watched eyed and when they asked if they were allowed to see the birds in the back they were told I’ll bring you back there shortly the young girl was looking at the macaw and was told kind of rudely to stay back cause they bird will bite u but when the other family’s walked up to the cage they wasn’t told anything…and the other 2 families who were not of color they was allowed to wonder the store free and look at everything with out being watched and eyed I spent almost 200 dollars there for bird supplies and I honestly regret it because of how they treat people of color you can’t go in there being colored to buy a bird they will ask for so much information I witnessed a older couple walk in and pick out a bird and its cage at the same time when they told me month ago you had to have a cage set up already and a vet appointment already scheduled and a recommendation from a landlord and 3 other people I’m a business owner and I’d never treat anybody they way they do won’t EVER SHOP HERE AGAIN I’ll take the hour drive to the shop I got my Indian ring neck from so much better atmosphere and they treat all of there customers the SAME

Loved the store. It was very clean, and the animals were well taken care of. I spoke with Joey about purchasing a Conure. Which is a bird. He was very informative and knowledgeable about all of his animals. He came highly recommended, and now I know why. I will absolutely purchase my Conure from him, and if I was looking for a reptile, I'd stop here first. The staff was kind and helpful. Everyone was smiling. I really enjoyed my visit.

Recently purchased a beautiful corn snake and Guy was full of knowledge and spent his time with me letting me know everything I needed to know. I felt very confident about my purchase. 2 weeks later and our new family member is doing great!!

Just yesterday I went and paid for my Indian ringneck baby! This was my first time coming here and drove an hour to get here. I was sooo happy to see how well cared for all their babies are! All their cages/tanks are very clean. Joey is VERY informative, they give you a nice care packet to take home and study before you bring your baby home. They ask to see your cage setup and that you buy the food from them, so that the babies can transition easily into your home. They also give you 2 avian friendly vets! You can tell they care so much for their birds and I am so happy I found them!

Definitely enjoyed looking at the different reptiles and snakes they had a good selection of accessories and the lady that was tending to us was very informative and helpful but it was definitely off-putting when we asked to see the birds. I've been following them for a long time on Facebook and I was expecting to see some birds. at which point she told us if we are planning to purchase them then we can go back there. because they had "a lot going on" we have been in the market for exotic birds for a while now as well as own an extensive collection of exotic animals ourselves drove about a hour to get there to pick out accessories and look at different reptiles as well as look at Birds with a strong possibility of purchasing if not today , some time soon . Just wasn't feeling that. Plus watching over me then turning away when I looked back was kinda weird also ... wont be back

This is truthfully, my favorite store in the entire world. I lived in L.A. for many years and when I moved to Marshfield, I struggled to find a place to buy a new little bird buddy (I settled on a Quaker parrot, per Joey's recommendation -best recommendation ever!). The folks who work here are so in tune and knowledgable about birds -it's worth the hour drive! I buy all my toys and parrot food here for my birds. All of the employees are kind, willing to help, and always give clear answers. I am neurotic about my three little birds, and (more than once!) Joey has helped ease my concerns with super helpful advice and answers. Amazing business. Nothing out there like this place!

The owners knowledge and compassion he has for the animals he has is incredible. It was nice conversating with him and I left with a much better understanding to questions I had. He is so helpful and easy to talk to. There are a good selection of snakes with other stuff mixed in. Once the renovation owner is planning is done, it will be a great place to check out. When he didn't have in stock what was looking for, he took it out of his personal collection.

This adorable Quaker is now named Oatmeal and will be part of our flock for many many years.Bird and Reptile Connection is one of the best bird stores I've been involved with over 30 years of owning parrots. They love their animals and have things in place to be sure their birds go to the best homes. You must show your cage if you aren't getting one from them, they ask you continue feeding their foods and check for weight issues on all their birds in new homes. They make sure you understand the time your new family member will be (my boy 20-30 yrs) as well as sending you home with important information regarding food, good and bad as well as current info on avian care. I highly recommend Bird and Reptile Connection.

There were two people working in the store when I visited. One associate was extremely helpful and efficient at their job. The other associate was extremely unprofessional. This person was dropping serious f-bombs during a conversation with what I hope were friends. There is a time and a place for a few well-placed f-bombs, that was neither the time or the place. Two stars because of the helpful associate. I will never visit this establishment again and will urge my family and friends to do the same.

She is so passionate about birds and doesn’t just want anyone coming in to buy one and the bird not go to a safe place! Best bird place around.

The store employees were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Were traveling and found so many new toys to treat our birds to when we get back home! They had toys I had never seen and toys that all the pet stores near us had been out of for so long. I highly suggest stopping by if you own any birds or reptiles!

It was 9:00 am last Sunday when Chris called me to tell me that the parakeets she had been raising were in the store and ready to go home. A few hours later I found myself looking into the face of the sweetest keet I've seen. Blue and white and it was loveat first sightChris walked around the store with me, suggesting different toys that she recommended. I also purchased the foods that he was weaned on.Other staff members were just as friendly as Chris and everyone was very knowledgeable.I couldn't be happier with the way everyone interacted with me. The store itself was very clean and well organized and all the animals were in very good health.I absolutely love my knew little friend and he has adapted to his new home very well. His name is Minion and I wouldn't hesitate buying from them in the future.

We went there today and purchased a cockatiel. Both of their staff members were great to talk to, really helpful and knowledgeable. We learned a lot from them and came away feeling confident that we could give our new bird a good home and have experts to ask if we have any questions.They clearly take a lot of pride in their birds and have a well maintained store with lots of cages, toys, etc. They also take their adoption process seriously and have a good plan in place to check on the birds once they are home, including weigh ins. The bird we chose isn't quite ready for adoption due to her young age, so they are going to take care of her for a few more weeks and we can visit during that time. It's good to know they really care about the birds health and put that first.Finally, we haven't used these services yet, but they offer wing clipping and boarding for very reasonable prices.I'm so glad we drove farther to go here and would recommend them to anyone.

Awesome bird and reptile store. Have everything you need for birds and if they don't have it i am sure that they will get it for you. They take their time to explain things and treat you like a person should be treated. From my granddaughter: Great staff that give you information about your pet your adopting! Beautiful happy healthy birds and its pretty clean, we adopted Crouton! I love this place would come again can't wait for my papa to take Crouton home!

Went into the store early this morning and was amazed by how clean and how well maintained the birds and reptiles were I bought a few perches for my new quaker parrot and was assisted by a worked who was very knowledgeable not just somebody who sold birds and reptiles when I mean this guy can give you the answers he was very very knowledgeable which showed alot to me as a customer we talked about quakers and bird accessories or cages for about 15 20mins and he was very happy to explain everything to me with no problem he even went out his way to recommend a couple of vets in the area highly recommended will glady be driving the 25mins to get my birds supplies from here best customer services I've seen from a petshop in a long time

The negative reviews scared us away from this store until our conure's veterinarian strongly recommended that we stop in. I am disappointed that we did not check this place out sooner. We did not purchase a bird from them so I cannot speak to the animals that they raise and sell (though they all appeared healthy and the cages were spotless), but the toy selection is AMAZING and they have a dizzying amount of food and treat choices split into three separate aisles - plus a bulk section for nuts, etc. They have a whole area dedicated to foot toys which is something you don't often see. The regular toy selection was beyond impressive considering the size of the store overall and they carry good quality, safe toys across the board. We were personally greeted by Martha (the Owner), who is extremely outgoing and clearly very passionate and knowledgeable when it comes to parrots. Take it from us, you should pay them a visit. Five stars!

Didn't like the customer service. I guess they think no one else knows how to Google bird care facts? Either way there are other places to go and Amazon isn't too shabby either. I got my sweet bird Kyoshi from someone else who wanted to rehome her and I was glad to help! The old lady was very rude when asked the price of a bird and was told that we didnt want to pay that much. Told us we were "too broke to buy a bird" even after being told we were experienced bird owners.

Stunned. I called asking if they had any male parakeets up for adoption for a friend for my own parakeet. A old lady answered saying she absolutely has none and then went on about the definition of adoption. She then asked if my own bird is happy which is a weird question to ask and I obviously said yes. She then goes well there’s no reason to bring another bird into the house hold. She asked why I wanted one and I repeated I just want a friend for my own bird. She said I’m absolutely wrong and have no right to bring a depressed bird off the street to my happy bird. completely unprofessional and I wish I got her name.

Love love this store!! Got my olive Indian ringneck here. The owners and staff a very knowledgeable and they give you all the information you need to make a good decision before you purchase. They also take enough care to get to know who you are and if you are a good match for the bird you are considering to buy. They care a lot about their birds and will not sell to anyone who they don’t feel is serious about these wonderful pets. Some people may get offended by this, but they are looking out for the best interest in their babies. If you are a serious bird owner, this is the place.

I just purchased a baby cockatiel from The Bird and Reptile Connection in December. She’s just about ready to come home and I’m so excited! Martha, Joey and the rest of the staff have been so kind, helpful and knowledgeable. They’re also very caring towards the birds. They’re clean, fed good quality food and even get chop. They’re monitored closely to make sure they all seem healthy and are growing and gaining or maintaining weight to go home with new families. I even noticed staff pulling toys from the shelves to give to the babies in their care on more than one occasion.They have gone above and beyond during this process as I visit twice a week to spend time with my new little lady. Always happy to answer questions and they’re honest and tell it to you like it is. They have even given me tips on caring for my little old arthritic cockatiel I currently own.I always enjoy my visits with my baby, but I enjoy talking to staff as well and of course picking their brains with all my questions.I’ve been seeing and hearing reviews about the price of the birds and why the bird stays the amount of time it does. Also why they have you come back for a weight check.Well here’s what I’ve noticed and learned:Formula is not cheap and they go through a lot of it! They’re also feeding them fresh fruits/veggies and provide seed, millet and toys and perches for each cage/bird. The shavings at the bottom of the cage pans adds up too. There’s a lot that goes into their care. Time as well as money. You’re getting a beautiful DNA tested, well bred, hand tame baby who is healthy before leaving (although you should set up a vet visit when your new baby gets home for an exam and testing with your avian specialist)! They have you wait until the bird had decided it’s weaned and that it’s maintaining it’s weight off formula. They’re doing it the right way. I’d rather wait longer and have it done correctly. They really care about the birds.They do ask you to come back for a weight check which is important for the well being of your bird. If your bird is losing weight they can guide you on what to do to help pack on the grams again before it becomes detrimental to your birds health.They have a fantastic selection of toys for all species and sizes! They have a lot of food, treats and other things to choose from as well. It’s an overall great store!Wish I could give more than 5 stars!
