Sad experience. After purchasing many bags of bird seed over a long period of time, we got an expensive 40 pound bag two weeks ago. We brought it out to the bird feeder yesterday to open it and fill the feeder. Unfortunately, before we could even crack the seal, the bag split along it's side and 40 pounds of expensive seed fell onto the ground all around the feeder. We attempted to salvage it but it became quickly contaminated with dirt, stone and a few chunks of crumbled concrete.We brought it to SBS yesterday and showed them the defective bag.The salesperson said that's too bad, you must have had it for a long time and the bag got wet. The exterior of the bag was titally dry and the defect was readily evident. The salesperson said I cannot do anything about it, you need to talk with the owner who isn't in the store today. The sales person was somewhat snippy and not interested in help a long-term customer. On the way out, I asked if they could have the owner contact us when she returned. They took our telephone number and said they will tell her first thing tomorrow.This far, there has not been word from the store. It is like they have a monopoly on the Island and can just get away with poor customer service. Obviously, we will take our business elsewhere. We are usually dedicated to supporting our local businesses since we do live on an island. But, given their attitude, we will make other arrangements to get bird food in the future. I am posting this so that other Islanders are cautioned.Everytime I take my car off Island, I will purchase bird food at a lower price from a store that care about it's customers.

This is my go-to location for lawn and poultry supplies. Grass seed, fertilizer etc. And chick feed, feeders, chicken wire and so on. Helpful staff, clean & bright store, never a long line.

Great has lots of pet, fish too horses, items. Garden tools soil seeds plants, but missing any information cultivation things, pH test kits, things an expert gardener would want... Only place I know that is on the island and an Air Gas distributor.

Great place that has all kinds of cool stuff for all your pets, plus feeding birds etc . All kids of outdoor stuff to decorate your yard, deck or house. Plus great staff and resonble prices . Makes this place great !!
