Their meat department is amazing as well as decently priced as well as their deli!! Other grocery items and frozen foods can be a bit pricey, but the staff are amazing, polite, friendly, and very helpful.

Stopped in to buy a small prepared sandwich to eat while between clients. Store is old and couldn't some remodeling and their selection of foods seemed at least adequate. I used the bathroom which is located through a double swing door at the back right into their work area. Not that appealing for most folks but was OK for me having been in many businesses back rooms! Cashier, if an employee, might have been having a bad day as he was barely courteous to me though not outright rude. Pricing of the few items I looked at seemed very reasonable.

Food City is a little gem in an otherwise depleted town. They have a wonderful bakery with freshly baked goods, an extensive meat department, and a great overall selection that rivals larger stores like Stop & Shop. The staff are hard working and friendly, making an otherwise tedious run to the market a pleasant experience. Go!

I love this store it's the best!! They carry a lot of variety and all so have stuff clean and in stock. And the prices are really great . Thrust me go there take time to look around you will stop going to the other stores I did. And the meats, and veggies are great everything is fresh.

Food City is without a doubt the pinnacle of human achievement. Any review that gives this store fewer than five stars is incomprehensible; I'd give it 12 stars if I could. Every experience I've had in Food City has been euphoric. The diversity of people employed by this breathtaking establishment is unprecedented. From the naive 16 year olds at the cash register to the deeply cynical (but profound) man in produce, to the stoically brilliant employees at the delicatessen counter, if you want to experience the breadth of humankind, this is the place to go.Food City is a piece of old school Americana; it single-handedly restored my faith in donuts and humanity in general.

Food City is a great place to do your grocery shopping or to just pick up a few things. Some things that I have found there, I have not found in other stores. The cashiers are courteous, polite and helpful. They have Buddha hams that are out of this world and Annie T's salad dressing which my mom used to love from a local restaurant. A great selection of fresh pickles in the produce section and 4 packs of Good Season's salad dressing for a cheaper price than other stores, I compared them. Whether you want a single beer or a 12 pack of beer, they have an extensive beer selection. For your furry friends is plenty of dry and wet food, treats, cat litter boxes and fresh food for dogs in a small fridge. I know plenty of people who come from different towns just to shop there. Overall, a good experience and where there are a lot of prices that are cheaper than surrounding stores. I definitely recommend.

A great little store that is much easier to manage than the bigger guys and the staff is extremely helpful. One suggestion: please change your deli meat bags. They never seal easily and often times, unless, you remember to break the printed label and make sure the seal is closed upon getting home the meat often spoils before you get to it. But, that really is my lone complaint about the place.

One of the best *affordable* local options in this area - supporters of ethical shopping should invest in this community asset. The variety of choices is great, lots of local/regional businesses sell products here. The staff is pleasant and super helpful if there is a product that isn't carried they are open to suggestions. Sometimes the deli isn't as well taken care of or responsive to customers as it should be... which could either be a staffing or training issue. Generally witness/hear reports of good sanitation. The produce here lasts a good while and I have never had to toss anything out within a day or so, an issue I have had at other groceries in the area.

I usually love going shopping here even though the prices can get a bit more expensive than if u went to like stop and shop or something but this time the cashiers could have been a little more friendly. They just were not very nice and made me feel like dirt because i get food stamps and i thought u could buy the already made sandwiches but it turns out you can't so my friend and i got attitude because they had to take it off our bill...heaven forbid!! I will go there again only because i can't make it to any other grocery store.

Great little small town Market. I like shopping there. The deli help isn't very well trained in customer service. Not very friendly or cooperative. I asked one employee what the roast beef look like today, he told me it looked like roast beef! They seem like they hate their job.

Friendly staff excellent meats and deli at very reasonable prices. Some of the grocery items are a bit more costly than at larger stores but because of the close proximity to my home I think it balances out. In the last year or so they have made many small changes to include more locally sourced and organic foods. Overall for a smaller grocery store they are doing a great job!!

I love food City but the people in they need more people to work in the deli. The employees are very friendly and they take the covid virus very seriously and keep everything clean! I love the meals that are made fresh daily at the deli so I don't have to cook a big meal for just me!

You’re not going to get Whole Foods atmosphere here, but you’re also not going to pay Whole Foods prices. The product and meat are fresh, the selection is very good, and the staff are so friendly and helpful. I love having Food City as a local, affordable alternative to the big names.

The prices area good, meat is very good. The cashiers however are the best asset Food City has. What a great group of people. Always friendly, helpful. All the staff are a friendly lot. They make it a pleasure to ship at Food City.

Employee owned store in Turner's Falls has very good brand variety when compared to bigger box stores. Reasonable selection of locally produced goods are available. I'm usually surprised to find an item here that i could not find elsewhere. Food city managed the pandemic shortages quite successfully.

The people that work there are nice! The prices on meat are very good, not a big selection of fish. The produce and boxed stuff is a little pricey but they have sales all the time.
