You can hear the neighbors in the hotel building walking and such, but it's nothing a little TV volume can't fix. It had an overall cabin in the woods feel but it was all in the experience. All in all a great hotel. Helen the manager is such a wonderful human being, and the free breakfast always hits the spot when going on our daily excursions. Dog friendly too was very nice!Nearby activities: Access to beaches and P-Town is only a 10 min drive away.

Absolutely amazing service. We had a less than great experience at the first hotel we stayed at and then we rebooked to stay here. The front desk worker, Helen?, was very kind and accommodating. The rooms are very clean and the beds are very comfortable. I thought the breakfast and coffee was good too.A great hotel if you’re traveling with dogs. They have many trails on property and a dog park. They even allow dogs at the pool.

First time staying here in mid-June 2023. Brought my French Bulldog, which was a plus. Views were great from my room. Don't expect room to be 100% "updated," but I thought it had a nice, cozy, relaxing Cape Cod vibe. I'm a native that no longer lives on the Cape, and it had the feel I was looking for. Usually, I stay closer to Brewster but wanted to try something more secluded. The only negative that the property can not control is the heavy amount of ticks. So if you do bring a dog, thoroughly check them. I had a lovely time staying here and would recommend and stay again.

2 star motel with 4 star views. High Value play. We booked last minute and is a great location. Rooms were dated but view overlooking the ocean was amazing.Other comments: Water pressure on the weaker side. Dog friendly. Small continental breakfast with stay. Room keys are actual metal keys. Overall solid stay, would stay again.

I like to travel with my dogs. Dogs galore!! Dog area for play off leash. Dogs every where!!! Had a great time knowing I have my dogs with me they were accepted where I went no nasty comments. 11/2 mile walk to Atlantic Ocean. Continental breakfast was fine plenty to choose from. Staff friendly happy.Rooms: Rooms are fine. I've seen worse! Coming from a retired house keeper.

I absolutely loved the view from our room. Pet Friendly policy, too. A ten minute drive to P-Town.I absolutely hated that my dogs were covered in ticks. It's a beautiful property, but the ticks think so, too. Doesn't matter if you avoid the bushes. Even the shallow grass has got them. Kinda was a traumatic experience having to pull ticks off my dogs with my bare hands. Make sure you've got some good repellent for everyone in your party.

Great location with wonderful views. The hotel grounds are nice to walk around, too, there was even a dog park. The continental breakfast was standard, and staff were very attentive/helpful. They also have a sister hotel on the edge of Provincetown where guests can park for free, which was a nice surprise. I was hoping for a shuttle but free parking is still good! The pool deck looked inviting, but didn't have a chance to check it out.I'd love to come back here, however there was something about the air in the rooms that made me feel sick. Idk if it was the AC, general air quality or what but I kept waking up with a stuffy nose that wouldn't go away until after spending a few hours outside the room. Really hard to compromise on a restful sleep despite everything else about the hotel being enjoyable.Rooms: Rooms need to be updated, cleaned better or add some better air filtrationSafety: Doors auto-lock when shut, don't forget your key! Enough lights left on throughout the parking lot at night, never felt unsafe.Walkability: Some trails in walking distance, but the only way into P-town or the beach is to drive yourself. A shuttle would be awesome!Food & drinks: Soda vending machine, breakfast offered was a good standard continental

So it may look a little shabby from the outside (seriously the weather this place must deal with) but the rooms were very well maintained if not quite up to modern Reno standards. Think real keys, chain locks, peach bathroom tile. The view is OUTSTANDING if you get a bay facing room.Great for pets and just out of the way enough.

Absolutely stunning vistas from what can best be described as a half-renovated assisted-living facility right off the highway. Definitely tough if you’re not with a car. The half bagels and hard boiled eggs at the “continental breakfast” are what you’d expect at a FEMA camp and the coffee is likely what caused the catastrophe to begin with. Comfortable bed, clean room, and fixed shower head set at about nipple-level.

Such a lovely establishment, and it was very nice when they told us about their sister property in town and how we can park there and walk to the beach or down town. Very clean and friendly staff. Even though we do not have a dog, I love how dog friendly this place was. Next time I go down I am either staying here or their sister property.

My wife and I booked this location for our anniversary trip. Overall for the price and location, this isn’t a bad spot to choose.Pet policy was convenient for us at this hotel, as we traveled with our dog. The rooms are placed well in accordance with areas to walk the dogs and bags are even provided for easy clean up. The only downside is leaving with the pet in the room. Each time you must let the desk know, even if just poking out for a quick meal or shopping trip.Areas for improvement could be seen with the breakfast. Such is adequate, but potential inclusion of more hot items would be nice to see. Also, rooms are neat and tidy and very clean, but certainly not too up to date. The bed while comfortable did sink in quite a bit and we needed additional pillows for support in sitting up. Also, would be nice to see some improvements with the room door, as while locks are provided, the quality of such are diminished and the outside light can be seen between the door jam.Overall for the location on the cape and the price, this isn’t a bad spot to consider, especially if traveling with your pet, as their are no restrictions. Staff is very friendly as well and turn down service performed adequately. A good spot to stay for a short trip. Also, depending on your room location with your balcony, you’ll have a decent view of the bay.

This hotel is exceptionally fabulous. I visited the hotel for my boyfriend's birthday and we had a blast. The rooms where cozy and elegant, and the infrastructure around the hotel was breath taking. We received continental breakfast and the staff was friendly and they all ensured that our stay was unforgettable. Thee was this one house keeper that stood out in our minds she had a funny first name but her last name is Walker. She made sure our room was well kept and her personality is unforgettable. I would recommend this hotel any day. Oh Altavista

Beautiful quiet hilltop location, nice decks off many of these rooms with great views of the bay. The room itself was spotless, and the bed and linens were very comfortable. All the staff we met were friendly. The pool was well kept and also had a gorgeous view of the bay. There is a remote beach with a lot of wildlife that is a two minute drive and a fifteen minute walk through the national forest. This place is conveniently close to the heart of provincetown while also offering the feel of a classic cape cod getaway that we were looking for. I will definitely be back!

The views here are amazing. Staff is friendly. Love the setting. Close to everything. I wish pet friendly rooms were wood floors rather than carpet. I love my dog, but would rather not stay in a room with a stained, smelly carpet. A phone at the front desk would be ideal too. The oceanfront sometimes interrupts cell service for those of us not from the area .

Such a disappointment! I arrived at 2, after a 9-hour drive from PA, with my daughter-in-law and 9-lb. dog in tow. I was told that check-in is at 3, and the woman at the desk said she would call me on the phone when the room was ready. I drove around until 3:50, and no call! I returned to the office, and said that I had been expecting the call, and the woman said "After 3, after3." I said, "It's almost 4," and she repeated, "After 3." I had no idea what that meant and, anxious to get into the room, I paid and signed the paperwork. The room was horrible!!! The view was the only saving grace. The room was run down and dirty. The walls were in terrible condition! There were patches of spackle, and nails where pictures had once been hung. The entire time we were there (4 days!!!), there was no cell service, no wifi. We could not use our phones or computer. On the second day, when we returned to the room, whoever "cleaned" the room, hastily pulled up the covers and left towels. The sinks and tub had not been cleaned, clean cups and toilet paper were not left, coffee was not replaced, and the room had not been vacuumed. My daughter-in-law went to the front desk, where a young girl apologized and promised better service the next day. The room looked a little better, but still not clean. The carpeting made my daughter-in-law's feet black! All this for $350.00 dollars per day! I will never stay here again!

We stayed for four nights during the July 4th holiday. Our room was immaculate...The beds and pillows were amazing. So comfortable. Very nice free breakfast...coffee...juice...bagels and cream cheese...muffins...yogurt...cereal....hard boiled eggs...something for everyone!..the staff was so friendly and accommodating...quaint motel not fancy...but that's what the outer cape is all about...so close to P-Town....was so happy with our dog friendly motel! The pool was very clean too...we would definitely stay at The Dune Crest again! Thank you for an enjoyable long weekend!

Came for pride, 10-15 minutes from beaches, Providence town and other notable spots. Bring money for daily parking if you plan to go out. During memorial day weekend it was about 20-35 for daily parking. Regardless it was a wonderful time. TV was a bit small and across the room but we were only in the room to sleep. Very clean. Comfy beds.

We stay on the outer Cape frequently from spring to fall and as far as beachside accommodations go - the Dune Crest is above and beyond. We enjoyed a long beach day at Marconi with our dog, then landed at Dune Crest. Property is beautiful with a surprising view of PTown harbor from above. It’s landscaping is well kept and all the guests and staff were friendly as you passed by. There’s a cool dune like trail that leads to an even more beautiful view of PTown. A fenced dog area to get some exercise in, with a mature garden & seating to hang. The pool was beautiful and full sun facing the ocean. The blocks of rooms themselves have a great beachside vibe. The bed was so comfortable, the room was clean, and most importantly had a beautiful ocean view. Our dog was comfortable & the flooring was perfect to accommodate pups. In the morning we had a great breakfast (breads/cereals/pastries/coffee/juice bar) in the spacious dining hall where other guests relax and chat. We left knowing we’ll come back time and time again.

Rooms were clean when we got there. Soaps ad shampoos. Coffee and coffee maker. Nothing was replenished during the week we were there. Made the beds and took out the garbage. Tub was a bit rusty, smoke alarm went off at 4am! They obviously don't change their smoke detector batteries every 6months like they're supposed to. Then after calling the manager and were told to just take the batteries out we had to ask the next afternoon to have them replaced! It is a beautiful setting though!

We've stayed here numerous times and always enjoy our stay. Being pet friendly is a must for us and they are very accommodating in that respect. Prices are very fair. Continental breakfast is adequate. Perched high on the dunes as they are, the views of the bay are spectacular. I do agree, though, with other comments made about signs of aging. It doesn't take too much away from the stay. Little things like windows that have too many coats of paint on them so they don't close properly. Mini fridge with door seal that doesn't seal properly. I even fixed that one myself for them by readjusting the door hinge. The place could use a little more TLC.

I'll be honest, I was skeptical about staying at Dune Crest after reading the reviews but I can happily say we had an AMAZING stay!! I highly recommend this hotel and plan to visit again. We had an incredible view from our balcony on an end unit. The rooms was very spacious, clean, and beds were comfortable. Having Ptown so close to this hotel was great for shopping, eating, and we even did a whale watch. It is also located very close to Wellfleet beaches which we visited as well. I can't say enough great things about our stay! Don't let other reviews scare you away, I highly recommend!!

Very clean room, bed was comfortable as well as everything being modern with a spectacular view. The only reason for 4 stars is that the bathroom had a little bit of funky smell. Probably just mildewy because of weather so no biggie. We didn't expect such a great view for the price! Everyone has been nice on the grounds, will definitely be staying in the future!!
