I was in the area, so I stopped by and grabbed a strawberry frape. They have a small store with baked goods and handmade items for sale. They also had some flowers, vegetable, and herb plants outside for sale.

Once I stopped here on a whim and now I'm a regular! Coffee bar. Fresh baked cookies, muffins, scones, and bread every day (and the best quality you can get!) On my way to parties and need a gift/food to share, I stop here on the way. There's lots of beautiful and locally made items (decor, mugs, plants, puzzles, and so much more!) AND ICE CREAM ALL SUMMER. It really is just the best place in town.

I love this place! Staff always so friendly, prices are very reasonable, and the baked goods are as delicious as it gets! Even though it’s a smaller shop they still manage to always have something for everyone!

A wonderful gift shop & bakery in a home-like atmosphere with a focus on local artisans and honest made-from-scratch quality baked goods. This was my first visit and I will certainly be going back! The coffee is superb (Maine roaster) and the cookies I got were absolutely delicious! I must taste more of their offering, especially the breads & cakes; they look irresistible. If I wasn't an hour away I'd be in here every week. A local treasure worthy of your discovery!

Very small. Nice homemade items and food. A bit on the pricey side. Finnish coffee bread was okay.

The Kitchen Garden is a great little spot in Templeton that I really enjoy visiting when in the area. As soon as you walk into the store, you can smell the aroma of fresh baked goods. They have many tasty treats, such as homemade cookies, pies, muffins, & more! My personal favorites are the molasses & ginger snap cookies. If you're not a huge spice fan, they also have classics like chocolate chip, peanut butter chip, & oatmeal with or without raisins. I also love their raspberry chocolate chip muffins & their Scandinavian Almond Cupcakes. They have a nice variety of different items in the store, such as trinkets, housewares, greeting cards, gift ideas, something for everyone. Around the holidays, they have a section with lovely Christmas items, including beautiful ornaments for the tree, or as decorations. They also have fresh coffee that you can help yourself too, although I'm not sure if this is still available since the pandemic. They have flowers & fresh veggies as well. They do have a porta potty outside in a fenced in area that customers can use. During Summer months, they also have an ice cream window. Some of their items are a bit high priced, although I will add that many of these things aren't items that you can find in regular stores. And it is not the case for all items, just some. They also offer cheese & bread from local places, as well as other items from local businesses. They used to have baklava, but I haven't seen it lately. I was told that they do not make it themselves, that it comes from another business...though most bakery items are made fresh at this location. Employees are friendly, I've never had a negative experience here. This store usually isn't too busy, though I have been there when it has been, usually on weekends it seems. Last time I was there, they also had uniquely designed handmade masks for both adults & children. Parking is plentiful. Definitely worth stopping at if you happen to be out this way!

Love this place. They have a ton of things in such a little store. Not to mention also having a small bakery case of homemade goods. Picked up a few little candies, a small Scottish baking book, and some cookies that were made here and love all of them. I'll be back soon to grab some more things from here. Love the variety.

I love this place the staff is very friendly and cheerful and they make wonderful wonderful Delicacies. Very nice selection of coffee in the morning, and always something interesting in their gift shop. If you're in the area be sure to stop by and take a few minutes to smell the roses and even a couple of Wonderful Finnish recipes.

An adorable little shop, the Kitchen Garden has delicious baked goods as well as coffee, books, and gifts. Every time I am there I discover another wonderful item to buy for myself or give as a gift. Many items are made locally in MA or NH. Great atmosphere, great service, clean and neat space, highly recommend! (And don't leave without a loaf of Finnish Coffee Bread - you won't be disappointed)

This is one of our favorite local spots for gifts and baked goods. The sticky buns are devine and so are the pies. Also a great spot to grab the card game "Dutch Blitz" a must play!

Have tried several baked treats and each was excellent Blueberry pie had a delicious filling and a lovely crust. The almond cake came in a muffin form and had a great spongy texture. The store offers a number of Finnish novelties, mugs and books etc. There are also some unique tea selections such as mint and licorice among others.

To be frank, I drove from Worcester Ma for The kitchen Gardens pie. My personal favorite is the Cherry pie. The service has been to this date awesome!!! Well, just once it did lack a little, the pie I wanted was out and I had to settle on a different pie which was just as good if not better, and for the drive back I had to take an advantage of a sticky bun. It's a small place but it's country, not the chain store if you know what I mean. Almost as good as the Southern roadside Mom and Pop stores. Well, I like the place and the drive from the city is refreshing, plus they cook/ bake from scratch, I am going to stop here like a true Southern I have a problem with my time to express myself 😇. Just don't know when to stop preaching!!!

I drove 35 minutes to buy some Finnish coffee bread, but they were sold out. 😕 I looked at their limited supply of bakery items. There were no prices posted, so I asked how much the smallish muffins cost. $2.50 each seemed quite expensive to me, so I didn't purchase anything, assuming everything else was equally overpriced.

Yesterday was my first time ever going there their coffee is delicious and all that baked goods are homemade I got a whoopie pie almost as good as mine I love it when the chocolate cake sticks to the roof of your mouth. Be back soon.

We have been coming here foyer years and always had a nice experience, until yesterday, 10-31-2019.There was a woman working there we never saw before , she was friendly enough but she watched us like a hawk! We got coffee and a muffin and sat at a table where we eventually noticed an Alexa on the shelf above us and it was activated! We found that to be an invasion of privacy and will only be getting our coffees to go.Quite frankly I find their baked goods too sweet(hubby likes them) I prefer another place in Bernardston where they don't treat you like you are going to steal and the place isn't so full of chtchkes you can't,move.Don't know what happened to this place but it's not so much fun anymore.
