I shop this store multiple times a week, whether for home or work because it’s convenient for me. The one thing that really irritates me is the wifi never works in the store, so I can never scan the items with a digital coupon. Why bother posting barcodes for the digital coupons if you can’t scan them?? The employees are always pleasant, but I would love to see a couple of self checkout lanes as sometimes they don’t have enough people doing checkout.

Every time I visit they are out of whatever sale item I came for. This time it was hams on the Wednesday before Easter. Had plenty that were more than twice as expensive. Also, the app wasn't working. I always have to go to another store anyway, so I decided to just delete the app and never shop here again.

Shaw's drive and go is convenient for me when I work doubles most the week so I don't always have time to go inside. However anytime I utilize it, not to mention the amount of money I pour into that company, I never get half of what I order. I don't know if it's the young teens they hire but they get very lazy and just inform me they don't have something , instead of just shopping for it because they are rushing. I called them when I realized I didn't get what I had ordered and the soft spoken girl goes "okay bye" and hangs up. Mind you, I was very polite. I called back and she says sorry I was in the middle of another order.... Um ... Not how you handle things at all... So I called to speak to a manager because this isn't the first time but of course 10 mins on hold and got nothing. The amount of money I give them on a weekly basis, I assure you, every single employee can go on a vacation with. However, they have now lost it and will shop elsewhere. I hope someday they improve.

We had a wonderful experience at this Shaws in MA. Extremely helpful employes and with a smile in produce and deli areas in particular! A clean, well organized stopping place with healthy choices as we travel through the area. Will return again another time!

Wasn’t to bad. Since I’ve moved out to central Ma. There isn’t allot of Shaws and Stop & Shops in my area. We have been trying new places like Price Chopper and the usual Wal Mart. There have been a couple other places as well I just don’t recall their names off the top of my head. So far I have to say Price Chopper has had better prices and deal than the other options. For now we will continue with Price Chopper until something cheaper presents itself.

Bakery has yummy treats always but last visit a lady i think by the name stephanie(?) was talking very inappropriately with another employee which i did not get the name of. Definitely sign of bad management when employees are gossiping about each other!! telling all my gals at yarn club to stay away..

Everyone is really nice and helpful here. They have a good variety of produce and it's fresh. They have a good meats, but sometimes they're past the Sell By date. I bought chicken the other day and when I got home, I realized the Sell By date was 02/26, but I bought it on 02/28. Also, it states Packed On 02/17. I didn't think chicken could stay fresh for that long?! But other than that, their food is always fresh with decent expiration. It's neat and organized and there's always someone around to help. I'm thankful that there are baggers too! One suggestion is to add more of a variety and lowfat (not just fat free), sugar free and health options.

I love this chain of markets! (We always go to them when in Massachusetts.) The layout makes it easy to find what you are looking for, they have an incredible selection of so many things (even flowers!!) Prices are always reasonable and this store (like all I've been in) was super clean and the staff I interacted with friendly.

Today was the first time I went to the grocery store (Shaw’s in Sturbridge) after having major surgery. I grossly overestimated what I was capable of. As a result, I asked if I could get help putting the groceries in my car. “Myles” cheerfully and efficiently completed that job. I offered him a tip but he said, “Oh, no. I can’t take that.” I persisted, but he clarified that they were not allowed to accept tips. Then he said, “Besides, I like helping”. Honestly, just about made me cry. Hats off to Myles, to those who have influenced him, and to Shaw’s for creating a customer-focussed culture.

I can't believe how mad/disappointed I am at this store.... Even with the prices being high... I love all the "prepped" food options... I like convenience foods... They have an amazing section of "fresh cut/peeled fruit" they have peeled mandarins... That's awesome... I hate peeling fruit...However.... I am shocked that today.... April 5.. I looked in the fridge to think about dinner... Went through the dates on my meat.... Had to throw away 2- 1lb package of 93% ground beef.... And a package of 4 pre-formed 93% beef patties.... 93%.... NOT Cheap.... I shopped on April 2.... I never had a problem with meat dates... Usually you have several days before you have to worry about dates... 1 package sell by April 1.... 1 package sell by y April 2... And the patties were sell by March 31....They were all brown and gross... I lost over $30 in meat... With prices up on everything... This is just a tragedy...Not much I can do about it.... We're all victims of this inflation.... But where's the quality control...

I went in with my Grandaughter to get Thin and trim Turkey meat and Beth at the counter was fantastic to her Thin and Trim is the best Deli Meat to get has the least sodium and better quality no junk in it then all the other brandsI hope they start selling more of the Thin and trim products

There has been some remodeling done in the produce area of the store and some upgrading of their refrigeration units the whole place continues to be awesome and if you look around on a weekday morning you can find some really good manager specials. Staff are nice and friendly no complaints at all this is my favorite store of all the grocery stores in the area bar none.

Very clean & well stocked store with good prices. But, whats even better are the employees! Had some questions about the 'clipping' of coupons and how the app works as opposed to having a barcode on the keychain. One of the cashiers (should have grabbed his name!) on 07/05/2021 was very helpful and walked us through the process showing us the current listed deals, clipping them and getting the barcode.Thank you & you have some new customers now!

I love Shaws. I'm not from this part of (Central) Mass. so Shaws was not a name I'm familiar with. When we moved here in Oct. 2019 we shopped only at Wal-Mart grocery because of prices. We went into Shaws to see how meats were priced. I don't know why but I walked in with a pre-conceived prejudice against the store. Like all prejudice, it was a stupid thought. Store is clean & well stocked (as it can be during these times) & items priced adequately. Staff has always been polite & helpful. I've always been happy with my choice to move out here & Shaws just makes it that much nicer, lol

Although this is an older grocery store, and showing a little bit of its age... It does have a wonderful organic and all-natural sectioned as well as carrying the new beyond meat burgers near meat department... I also love that this place does not require and discount card to shop there.

You new app absolutely sucks. I just want to add the deals. Not so easy. I have to navigate around your shopping portion of your app. Not everything shows up that is your weekly add. Market basket is looking so much better.

I called the bakery department to order a cake, a woman answered a little rudely that they need 24 hours notice for pastry items. I, a rational human being, realized that it was my problem and not the girl's fault or the store. I calmly asked for a cake to be made so I could pick it up the following day. I put the order in and the cake came out beautiful. I was satisfied with my order and there was no need for winners or losers. also be careful there are some idiots that shop there and I'm not talking about the guy w the swastika.

Cleanliness is five stars. Service/employees also five stars. Seafood is four stars for freshness and three for selection. They could use more choices for sure. Produce is five stars normally. Sales are solid and not having a card is nice. They do offer digital coupons for additional savings and are worth it. Health food section is small but has basics. Store layout makes sense and is easy to navigate. Overall selection for the store size is good. Receipt accuracy is as good as other grocery stores in area or better.I used to hit sales at stop n shop and others in conjunction with Shaws. After pricing out savings after coupons/deals just using Shaws with some supplement from Walmart was the cheapest option. Stop n Shop cost on average for us (family of 6) about 60.00 per trip. Big Y was easily 100.00 per trip.

If you are planning to buy items that are not on sale, I suggest you find another market to shop and save your money.Shaws needs to do away with the gimmicks associated with the loyalty number and just give everyone the best price like Market Basket does.It's not rocket science, compare Shaws nearly empty parking lot to Market Basket full parking lot. Make any excuse you choose Shaws,, Market Basket clearly has a winning strategy.
