Just beware the artificial chicken is being sold at the Stop&Shop in Stoughton. I purchased this chicken this week after putting lime and vinegar it immediately began to fall apart. The ligament (vein) that ran through each piece felt like rubber. The fat felt like rubber but looked like yellow puss. Just be careful what you purchase and consume.

I’ve been using this market for about a decade now. The employees are friendly and helpful. The store is always clean. Prices have gone up drastically and produce seems slim at times but what they do have isn’t rotten or bad. I use the deli and bakery often which are amazing. I do not purchase meat here because the prices on meat are just too high compared to neighboring markets.

I thought it was too expensive to go here, but what isn’t? It’s the rewards I use on gas savings that make it the reason I shop here now instead of Shaws. I think its quiet and have no issues. Def worth it.UPDATE:I still shop at shaws when certain deals are available or SnS is out of my favs when I am in neeeeeed of Yogurt and Granola… Both stores are within half a mile from me, so it is helpful to have the option, but its Stop and Shop first, since it is great having the gas for my car on site and at a reduced rate. GO SHOP AT STOP n SHOP YALL!!

Did grocery pickup. Ordered Dave’s Killer ORGANIC bread. Apparently it was out of stock and WONDER BREAD??? was the closest substitution? I literally don’t think you could have picked something more opposite. There is always something with grocery pickup that blows my mind, and not in a good way.

I know we are at the end of season but let’s just remove the bad fruit when fungus starts to grow it’s time to let go!!!Some of the workers are great but this stop n shop is just one of the closes ones around! But not the only one with fruit!

Love their produce selection. Wish they had more West Indian items in the international section though. New store layout is easier to maneuver. Hate that they like every other store have only one cashier at any given time.

I only go to Stop & Shop for cold cuts I won't shop there to do my large shopping because I think they are higher than most plus they charge you for paper bags..I think Shaw's has better prices and they don't charge for paper bags & I like Shaw's bakery better!

This is the worst Stop & Shop. My husband just went there now. The deli is CLOSED at 5:15 PM on a Thursday afternoon. Last week I placed a pick up order that was to be ready at 5:40 PM. I called to check on it and was told no one was there to shop it. At 7:00 PM it still hadn’t been shopped so I cancelled the order. We will not be going back to this store. Too much aggravation!

Stop & Shop, in Stoughton, isn't like Shaw's or whole foods. Their produce isn't as good and there's not a large selection of good fruit or veggies. I couldn't find celery!I walked around the whole store to see what kind of selection of good products they carry. They're limited to regular brand names and their own. They didn't have Oatlley oat milk like the other supermarkets that I shop at. Their meat selection is also limited. The store is clean and the staff are nice.

This location is as consistently inconsistent as it gets. I’ve never once been here and either 1. Had a human employee ring up my groceries, 2. Wait less than 20 minutes to use a self checkout.It pains me to write this but without fail the self checkout area is an absolute zoo- Customers confused on how to use machines, confusion when paying for each bag. You should really add a prompt at the end of the transaction and ask what the wait time was. 20 minutes x $15(min wage) comes out to $5 of a credit I should be receiving for the waste of my time.Do yourselves a favor and go shop local, these big companies only care about your $$, and only you have the power to change that!

Not only does Stop and Shop make effectively impossible to have your groceries rung up by a human cashier, now you’re charging me for bags too? I feel both disrespected and “nickel and dimed”. You’ve already cut staffing levels so deeply that I’m forced to use self-checkout and to add to that I gotta pay a dime a bag? Where can I send the bill for my labor?

This is the absolute worse store I have ever shopped in. Workers are rude the store is disorganized and never well stocked. The self-checkouts are a nightmare. I am done spending my hard earned money at this horribly run supermarket. Would give ZERO stars if I could!!

I am done shopping here. I've tried over and over especially with their grocery pick up as I am a busy mom. The last experience killed it for me. When I pulled up for curbside pick up, I called from my car for over 10 minutes before I had to hang up and just walk in with kids in tow (eliminating a big factor of convenience when you use pick up service). Once I was able to actually find someone to help me - they acted as if I was bothering them. When I got home it looked like a crime scene with my fruit. I called customer service to obtain credit for some of the destroyed produce. At this time I indicated I wanted to make a formal complaint regarding the horrible service overall from the store. When I explained what happened, the person said "so let me get this straight - you received all of the groceries you ordered? You are simply not happy with your service?!" After explaining yes and reiterating how painful it was for a simple grocery pick-up the order, I received a snippy rude comment and they hung up.

Went in to get a few things. It was a little busy in there and only had 2 regular registers opened. I decided to use the self service figuring it would be quicker. First they should have a scan tool for items you shouldn't have to pick up to scan that your not gonna bag such as cases of water and 12 pack of sodas. Even if a worker was able to do it that would be fine but the scale and bagging area is small. 2 bags and you have to wait for each item to be bagged then scaled before you can scan another. Otherwise it sets off alarm. Just a slow process. Given only 2 bags don't use if u gotta bag 3 or 4 bags cause again gotta wait for scale and green light on register to work before you can move bag. Slow process. Should be quicker so people can scan put in bag scan put in bag quickly so they can get in and out. I stick to shaws seems to work better system

UPDATE 2022 July 29Still hit or miss here, but better than my last review. Updating from 1 star to 3. Communication is much better with is extremely important.There are a couple of wonderful staff members who are constantly getting stuck alone due to call outs. I feel horrible for them, because they are friendly, helpful, and deserving of better!Unfortunately, there are a number of people who still miss items, give us expired, moldy and/or rotten food. Sometimes they don't attempt to substitute, or provide very poor substitutes. Due to the call outs, my orders are typically late. I usually schedule them about 2 hours earlier than I need to overcome that.With a little training and hiring/retaining staff they would probably be a 4 or 5 star rating.Old review below-------------------This place is hit or miss. There is no justification for curbside shopping/giving us rotten food. You can say out of stock or substitute. See photo for example. I am dumbfounded how anyone thinks this is acceptable.Wow.

Stop & Shop is more cleaner they remove all of the old shelves and replace them with up to date shelves. They have added freezes with Glass door

Stoughton is my town. I live here for 27 years. My family always enjoyed shopping at that store, but not anymore. This store has no management or management is totally incompetent. For last few months/year this store has became a dollar store located in section 8. Today I was waiting at their deli department, four people in front of me. After 20 minutes, still four people in front of me. One employee who has no clue what he was doing, wearing triple layers of masks and plastic face shield, acting like person on drugs.I went to service desk and politely asked for manager of the store to help me. Young lady Danielle was kind enough to walk with me to deli department after I asked her to do that. That's 25 minutes after I entered Stop&Shop in Stoughton. Same customer was still being served, long line waiting.. Finally one of the deli employees was forced to cut his sleep break short and he started serving customers in line. I had to leave that store at that point because some of the "customers" (read welfare thieves doing shopping on weekend) started acting aggressively. Two females acting as 'managers' did nothing to stop aggressive behavior towards me.Sorry, I forgot to add one 'small" observation.. Your restroom looks like cesspool in third world country..

***addendum*** not sure what changed but lately the bakery is stocked, deli gag is stocked. Produce is fresh and in good supply.Where to start? Time for a leadership change. Wake up corporate. Your leadership makes or breaks a store. Produce department is constantly barren, shelves aren't stocked. Today only one register open and service desk was closed and no one at the deli. Shaws, less than 5 miles away is always fully stocked. Staffed. Functional.

I didn't go here today I was in the parking lot. But. While I was sitting there, I thought abt the last time I was. I had stopped to get flowers for someone for a gift.All I remember abt the manager who was running the floral was they extremely rude and didn't seem to have any customer service skills.I then spoke to the G.M. who didn't seem to care either. Plus. To top it off S&S has, and always will be overpriced and under serviced. Take it from me. It takes alot of time to write these reviews in a fair and accurate way. The reason is to save YOU the customer, headaches, time, and $!Stay safe and happy shopping my friends!

Went shopping during seniors time around 6:30 am. The store did not have all the lights on. I guess saving till store was completely open. I was disappointed because there was hardly any meat so I shopped for other items. I appreciated they did open for us. On a good note we were able to get paper goods as the shelves were being stocked.

This store continues to get worse! Limiting choices shrinking isles and NO staff which is everywhere but it makes it longer trying to checkout.
