I have made a few purchases from goldfish island and I’ve had a pleasant experience each time. Each time I was delivered a quality live fish, I get the overnight shipping because I live in Los Angeles. Their customer service is really good at getting back to you with any questions or concerns. They even are willing to hold my fish for two weeks while I go on vacation. I have ordered from other online goldfish dealers but the quality wasn’t up to par. I now only buy from goldfish island. If you’re looking for a quality goldfish order from goldfish island!

I was delivered one vibrant healthy fish and another that was not in good shape and didn't last but a few days. The website explained what information they needed and it was a matter of taking a few photos, a 10-second video, and sending an email. I was promptly issued a store credit for the cost of the fish and was offered advice on my water parameters. I wish I wasn't on the west coast and could shop there in-person.

My experience purchasing from Goldfish Island was nothing short of phenomenal. I was able to select the most beautiful group of ranchus thanks to to their easy to use website with such detailed photos and videos. Customer service was there every step of the way to ensure I was satisfied with the fish and coordinate shipping, as well as answer my questions post arrival. When they arrived, the fish were 10 times better in person! All in excellent condition and lovingly packaged. I do not give out good reviews for the heck of it either people make me mad and I write a bad one, or they provide the quality of service that I feel needs to be shared. Goldfish island, You guys did a spectacular job! These to fish arived in perfect condition. The experience of the you pick process was so fun, I enjoyed every minute working with you! I purchased two Short bodied platinum Butterfly koi from Goldfish Island, as a Canadian buyer it’s very difficult to find quality ornamental fish in my country, I was nervous buying from another country but was pleasantly surprised to have such a pleasant experience with Goldfish Island. The fish arrived within 48 hours and were in good shape considering the journey. I received my package from Goldfish Island a week ago. I ordered 2 UPICK telescope butterfly and a sakura golfball pearlscales. My first time online ordering for goldfish because my local area, there is no such this quality. I just want to write this review to show my appreciation for the professionalism and staff at this company. They clearly did what they advertised, especially their customer service and fish care helps. They even call me to guide me when one of my butterfly has a hard time after arrival. The staff guided me through the quarantine process that i need to do, and now all my fishes are thriving, free of stress from shipping after few days. Especially my most favorite Golfball Pearlscales. I have been searching all over the country for this, and seems like only at this company that has the quality i am looking for. Another good thing is the both the UPICK process and regular purchase are so easy, very top notch customer service from them that let me select my own fishes. I am picky, i have requested them to change multiple times, and they always happy to do what I asked. My apology to you guys that i was rude when one of the fish was at the bottom and not swimming much after the arrival, but you have taught me a lesson about their expected behavior post-arrival. Now, i understand more about my fishes and their behavior, happy that they are all very healthy and normal now. I will definitely buy from Goldfish Island again, i think they are the safest place to order from. When buying a live animal online, more than just the fish, you need to consider the care and after-sale services the company offers. And, i think they are the best in this field.

I received the most beautiful thai oranda. Packed and shipped with the upmost care. Super healthy! The fish looked exactly like the pictures. I love how much this business cares about the fish and their customers. Tons of info was provided to get the fish settled and they have wonderful customer service options. I’ve told at least 10 people about my wonderful experience here. If you’re going to order a fish online this is 100% the place to do so!

I am a loyal customer of goldfish island, and have purchased many fish from them. I have also purchased fish from other companies, and I feel that Goldfish Island is superior in many ways to other fish sellers. One of the meany reasons I have continued to remain a loyal customer to goldfish island is because of their exceptional customer service. At any point in time if I have any questions about anything goldfish related, I almost always get a response, not just in 24 hours, but within an hour and the staff are more than happy to address my needs. I love that when I call someone almost always picks up the phone.The shipping process is easy, and I get e-mail updates and reminders providing tracking information in regards to the shipping status of my fish. The boxes the fish are shipped in are packed exceptionally well. When you open the box you find a printed copy of your invoice on the top of the box.The fish I have received from Goldfish Island have always arrived active and healthy, and I have not lost a single fish that I have received from them. Goldfish island goes above and beyond to make sure that the fish are properly quarantined and treated for any disease or parasite which is important to me because I have a 300 gallon pond and multiple tanks with multiple fish.The fish themselves are beautiful, friendly, and well cared for.

We bought Upick Calico ranchu and a family pack of 4 bronze ranchu from Goldfish Island. The fishies arrived quickly and were in great condition! They are super active and healthy. Also, they’re much more beautiful in person, and some of them are big and chonky (I did not anticipate the size and body shape to be so as they are not bought as individual fish)!!! The quality of these goldfish is insane. Not only that, their customer service is top notch! I reached out to them when one of the fish was in stress after shipping, and they responded to me immediately. They guided me through the whole acclimation process which made things much more easier for beginners. Highly recommended!!

It was a ridiculously amazing experience. They went out of there way to make sure I got the fish I wanted. For the Upick fish they send you a video of your options. If you don’t like the fish they show for any reason they will let you switch and send you another video. Their customer service was incredible. I wish encountered more businesses like Goldfish Island in other parts of my life. And the fish are top quality and super healthy. Lost my fish after 6 years and thought it would be nice to order another goldfish from here for the first time seeing that my other 7 year old goldfish was now alone and needed a buddy. ordered from here, Quarantined fish for two weeks in separate tank, the entire time seemed to have mild buoyancy issues that I assumed might be stress. After those two weeks I placed in a 60 gallon tank with my other goldfish that has thrived and is still thriving after 7 years, and the new fish declined for the following 2 weeks until he died, this breeder had no interest in helping me given the circumstance

At the risk of sounding corny, I feel like I have joined a family of goldfishkeepers. I have had goldfish on and off for the last 30 years but none like the spunky, gorgeous, healthy ones from GFI. Goldfish have brought me so much joy during these lockdowns and GFI has helped so much to facilitate that. They are always there to answer my questions and truly care about how the fish are doing in my care. Fish were packed expertly and arrived in 2 days to Canada, both times I have ordered. The quality and health of these fish is second to none. The prices are very reasonable and there is a wide range to choose from. I have had an ongoing swim bladder issue with one which has been quickly and fairly resolved. After ordering 9 fish I have not lost one! I appreciate the caring customer service from many people there, especially Jenny and Tandy. I know the share the excitement and love of goldfish with me - I can hear it over the phone and in their texts! I’ve gotten quite a few goldfish shipped from here. They were beautiful. But they have all ended up passing away from swim bladder within a few months. It’s very unfortunate. It’s only happened to the fish I have gotten from here. One time I had one delivered that was already pineconed.

Very disappointed with my most recent experience. My U-Pick fish arrived sick and refused to eat for a whole week before eventually dying. GFI refused to issue a refund, stating that the best they could do was send me a new fish for an additional $53 (the price of shipping, which is excluded from store credit reimbursements). I paid over $80 to receive a healthy fish, it's absolutely ridiculous to expect me to fork over additional payment when I never received the healthy fish I paid for. If you're going to buy from this company, just be aware that 100% of the financial risk associated shipping live fish is placed on the customer.

I was skeptical about ordering goldfish online but didn’t want to buy typical box store goldfish so I came upon Goldfish Island. Let me say I love the deal they gave and the fact that they let you request what traits and they do their best to fulfill what you are looking for in a goldfish. Also then they send a video of the fish so you can either approve, change them upon your request before they send them.Shipping the next day and all arrive alive and healthy.Will buy some more soon!

Fish dispatched were the ones provided in our video. Packaged very well. Double bagged in case of leakage. Packed in medicated water for extra safety. Thick foam to prevent crushing. All of the fish were lively and happy. After they were added to the tank (exactly as suggested by the seller) they had absolutely zero problems. They swam, and ate normally. No shock, no stress. These are the happiest fish I've ever bought! Price was very reasonable considering shipping to Canada is very expensive, and the quality of the fish. They are big, established, colorful, hearty, and happy. You can tell the seller really cares about the fish. Definitely recommend!!!
