Just adopted a little black and white female kitty and couldn't be any happier. The whole adoption process was easy , the staff was excellent. Mitzi is looking very content. This is my third cat adoption , the first one was in 2000. Recommend this shelter for adoption . The place was clean and the animals look well cared for.

My girlfriend had her dog neutered two days ago and after would the dog became so sick from the surgery that it was brought to a vet hospital! The hospital said that who ever did the surgery butcherd the animal and was shocked at how bad the surgery was done to the dog. The dog now has an infection and fever and is still be treated at the hospital as I type this! These people should be shut down for animal cruelty! Not to mention malpractice! The people that work there are rude and condescending. Do not bring your dog to this place stay away !

My husband and I had the best experience at Sterling Animal Shelter today. The staff were beyond kind and so helpful answering our many questions before bringing home our new puppy! They showed so much love and care for our puppy. Adoption fees are very reasonable. Not one complaint! I highly recommend going to Sterling Animal Shelter for your next pet!

FAST SCHEDULING + AMAZING SERVICE & AFFORDABLE CARE!I was able to be scheduled within 2 weeks of my initial inquiry, the services they offer are much more reasonable than a private vet. I brought my 8month old kitten to be neutered from the south shore & it was absolutely worth the 90 minute drive. I’ve already recommended to 5 other people.

I recently adopted my 8 month old pup from Sterling animal shelter. She was very shy and nervous. Within a few days she’s become my best cuddle buddy. I couldn’t have chosen a better dog. I think I’ll be back soon for another dog 😁

I brought my beloved cat Simba in for neuter surgery. I have no words for all the people who helped me in this place, they are very polite girls. The surgery went well and there were some doubts in whichthey answered me withpatience by email. If I could I would give it 10 stars.

I had such a great experience with their spay/neuter clinic. I had been nervous to bring my energetic kitten to get neutered, but as soon as I dropped him off I knew he was in good hands. Everyone who I interacted with was so kind and helpful to answer any questions. My cat is healing perfectly and the surgery was clearly done with care. I am so thankful that I found this clinic. The prices are extremely reasonable as well. I would feel confident recommending this place to anyone who was looking. Thank you so much!!

I adopted our first dog here and had an incredible experience. The adoption fees were affordable, especially with the package option to take a crate, bed and everything else we needed with him. He is the perfect dog and has the sweetest temperament. He's 3 now but our love for him only grows each day!Our second puppy whom we recently got, We brought her to be spayed here. Although it is now a long drive from us, it was so worth it. The staff were as kind as I remember and they did an INCREDIBLE job on her surgery. The incision was so neat and well done and she has recovered so quickly with minimal pain.Best shelter ever, keep up the amazing work! We are grateful for all at Sterling!

We adopted our pup at Sterling in 2012. Great staff, clean location, and the adoption process was a breeze. I got a DNA test for our pup this year and found out that he's part lab, golden retriever, white swiss shepherd, and a mix of other sporting dogs. We're so happy that we went the adoption route!

We adopted our first family dog from this shelter last week and it was such an easy and positive experience. Adoption fees were reasonable and I loved that we could get everything we needed to bring the puppy home. You could tell they love what they do there. Emma is feeling at home and such a sweet girl, I’m very happy we chose this shelter and will definitely choose them again down the road.

We took our puppy here to be spayed last month and I can't say enough about the wonderful staff and services there. I highly recommend them!! After I was quoted $1,000 to have my dog spayed by my local vet I looked for other more reasonable rates and am so happy to have found Sterling!

We love our local shelter! We got our 2yo rescue there in 2021 and the staff was super helpful. We've been back since then to meet other dogs and see if we can eventually adopt a sibling for her since she's reactive to other dogs and everyone has been helpful and patient with us even when we leave without an adoption.

Got a puppy from here just a couple days ago. Their visitation setup is unnecessarily complicated. It would seem as though keeping the process difficult benefits them somehow.?...we got a puppy that we are very happy with, hence the 4-star rating. Keep working on your process and you'll be scoring 5-star ratings left and right.

By far the best rescue I have ever been to. I've adopted 2 dogs here and used their vet clinic.They made the adoption process easy. They have great fenced outdoor space where you can take the dogs you're interested in to play with and get to know them. Everything is beautiful and clean.

This place gives a great opportunity to do neutering for your pets for a low price. I did it for 2 of my cats and every time they took well care. Also, they do very specific surgery, like entropian corrective surgery, for really low price, 5 times cheaper than in other clinics. Great job! The people here are so nice, professional and kind!

During the pandemic, when everything has been disrupted, I (along with hundreds of other people) got a brother/sister pair of kittens. I was able to get them scheduled for shots and exams, but when it came time for spay/neuter... everywhere was booked solid for months! I got nervous...am I going to have to keep them in separate rooms until December?! How horrible! They are inseparable!Sterling Animal Clinic to the rescue! Using their online application I was able to get them in within a week! It was inexpensive! They are clean and friendly! And my kittens are as rowdy as ever! I owe them a debt of gratitude, they saved my holiday season... they had lots of appointment times, but they fill up fast, don't hesitate... You won't be disappointed!

I took my new 'backyard rescue' pup here to be spayed after being quoted $900 from my usual vet, and was very happy with the cost and process, even in the face of COVID. They were kind, considerate, asked me multiple times if I had any questions, and were very gentle and compassionate with my pup. I dropped her off at 7:30 and they called me by 10am to let me know she was doing great and I could come get her early. She's recovering wonderfully despite her cone of shame and I will happily recommend them to anyone in need of a lower-cost spay and neuter.

My girlfriend and I adopted a puppy from sterling. Without a doubt the best experience adopting ever. We have adopted pets from other organizations, they were great places in their own right. We just felt that sterling went above and beyond our every expectation. A very organized evolution from beginning to end. The staff is very friendly and very knowledgeable about every animal in their care. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who asks me. The best recommendation I can give is show up early and have an open mind. I’m sure most people show up expecting a pet they saw online. That is not always possible. Look at everything they have to offer before leaving.Thank you sterling for everything.We’re the ones who adopted the tan puppy with the big ears. After asking some friends and family, we think he might be a mixed Egyptian Pharaoh Hound. He’s such a unique looking guy.
