Dr Fagerquist is fantastic. Caring, detail oriented, shares lots of excellent information. The best vet I've used.Update: I just found out she's also a veterinary acupuncturist! Our aging kitty responded very well to his first treatment. So many wonderful aspects to this practice. From the moment you walk in there are nature sounds in the waiting area. In the treatment room they spray Feliway on a towel they drape over anxious cats to calm them. Every visit with Dr. Fagerquist makes me hold her, and her team, in the highest regard!

Last night was one of the toughest nights for our family as we said goodbye to our sweet Buddy. The support and compassion Dr. F and entire staff showed us made this very difficult time as comfortable as it could have been. We loved our Buddy for an amazing 14 years and he was a patient of Dr. F (Spencer Vet) from day one. They also provided incredible care for both of our cats (Skittle & Munchkin) who have since passed. I can't recommend Dr. F and Spencer Vet enough.

I recently got a little 2 pound yorkie toy poodle mix. She has not made it to see Spencer Vet yet but she did recently break her arm and had to go into an emergency surgery facility. She is scheduled to see Spencer Vet in a couple weeks. Even though they have not had the pleasure of meeting her, they reach out after each one of her surgery appointments to check in on her. This speaks volumes to me. They also see my baby boy Link who is about 5.5 pounds. They were so mindful of how to treat him because he’s just so small. They were so caring and gentle with our baby boy! This place is just great! I am so glad I found them! They always reach out! They even called to make sure link did not have any reactions after a routine vaccine. I have never had a vet that shows so much compassion and cares so much about my fur babies. I’m thankful for all their hard work and dedication to my babies and all their patients. I will continue to bring all of my pets to them and will recommend them to anyone. The prices are what I would expect but worth it!!! Don’t hesitate to call them. You won’t be disappointed! ♥️Updated: Sharron at the front desk is amazing!!! So sweet and helpful.

Didn't diagnose my cat properly until after we did blood work he didn't need. 470 down the drain. He passed at home. They made me think there was hope to fix what was wrong if we did blood work but did tell me it wouldn't be done until Monday and I should consider quality of life. If they didn't say it wasn't cancer before the blood draw and then immediately after found the cancerous mass just by feeling his belly more properly I wouldn't have spent 470 and he wouldn't have had to be poked 3 times for blood. They did take me in an emergency though so I respect that.

Used them for 2 years, and then now when one of our dogs is dying they said they didn't have time for us that day and referred us to an emergency hospital that was an hour away and charged insane prices. They said they could get us in tomorrow, so I guess we can just ask her to fight through it for another night... They are clearly a quantity over quality business whose appointments book out months at a time. Fine for routine checkups but completely absent when you need them most. Thanks a lot.

My google reviews do not come easy, but Spencer vet Hospital staff and Dr's are some of the best vets in the state ! our past pup (12 year old lab) was sick and we brought her in and they made space to see her during covid...as a first visit great service now with our new pup same great service and follow up. If you are here looking for a vet look no further this is where you need to be. They care for animals and love their animals you can see it clear as day when the pet see's the staff. Prices are not horrible at all they keep it low as possible it seems. TLDR: Stop looking join Spencer veterinary hospital.

I can't rave about this team enough. Dr. F is amazing, and Dr. Loretta was such a fabulous addition to the practice. I was so nervous for my "single dog parent" transition, but the staff were so warm and willing to answer all my seemingly silly questions.I love that they listen to my concerns, and are flexible when adjusting our care plan to best suit each of my fur babes. HIGHLY recommend. <3

We are new to the state of Massachusetts and hadn't had the time to establish a Veterinarian for our pets. When my cat had to be seen urgently they scheduled him right away and even called to let us know that an earlier spot had just opened up. We were seen quickly and all of my concerns were addressed. I called Spencer Vet this week on Monday to see if I could get in with my dog because my partner spoke so highly of the care he received here with his dog. I wanted to get a consult for dental and see if perhaps I would move my care here. The person that answered the phone made it very clear that they didn’t want new patients. Kept repeating that there were no appts for dental cleaning until Sept and they were “referring patients out”, when I said that was ok and asked if I could see a vet for appt I was told they also had no appts until Sept unless I wanted to pay an emergency appt fee. Good riddance to you and good luck with your practice with that type of client care!!

We have been using Spencer Vet for the last 12 years and have always had excellent service. Our dogs LOVE Dr. Jenn! The vet techs are friendly and professional, and Sharon is an absolute pleasure to work with. I always get a follow up call the day after an appointment to make sure all is well. My pets get treated like family members. Highly recommend!

Recently switched Vets to Spencer Vet for my dog Fitz. Called to make an appointment, gave a deposit over the phone for the full appointment amount, no hidden or extra costs at the end of the visit. At the time of the appointment only the pets were allowed inside, a tech called me, took a report, no concerns so it was straight forward, after the visit was complete the actual Dr brought Fits out to me, gave me a report, asked if I had Any questions what so ever, we were able to get a heart worm medication for Fitz at a very reasonable price. I was very happy with my whole experience, no surprises, great staff.

It was my Great Danes first visit to this office. Rhett was very happy to meet the asst. in the parking lot and while she was talking with me he felt comfortable enough to show her he was ready and led her to the front door. The entire staff was great communicating everything, especially considering Covid precautions. The Dr. called me to explain and ask questions and the front desk was great also. I also appreciated the call the next day asking how he was doing. I would highly recommend this office and will be transferring my other Great Dane over here too.

This was my fist time visiting their new facility and also getting to be there in person with my fur babies (the last time I was there we weren't allowed to go in due to COVID restrictions ): ). Each and every staff member was extremely nice, comforting, helpful, accommodating, and very thorough with exam results and what to do to improve the quality of life for my kitties. Absolutely recommend Spencer Vet!!! I cannot say enough good things about them! Everyone there is so sweet, helpful and caring. They are responsive to emails and calls. We always have a positive experience at Spencer Veterinary Hospital, LLC. My cat Ming is calm going to and coming from the Veterinarian's. Checking in on arrival is easy and waiting is minimimal. Ming received a thorough exam, and she wasn't terrified. I recommend this vet. My pet doesn't cry all the way to the vet's anymore. I'm grateful for that.

they pressured me into getting anti anxiety meds for my dog and got upset when i didn’t give them to her. she was never violent to be clear. also i had a problem with one of the vets at the first visit and requested a new one, they never have me the one i requested. third they shamed me when my dog had an ear infection and they also cancelled my appointment multiple times.

I LOVE Spencer Vet. Started going when I was a kid back in the 80's. Always took the family dog to see Dr. Bird. When I grew up, moved out of Spencer to Worcester and got my own dog, Where did I go? Spencer Vet and no where else. I wouldn't trust anyone else to take care of my babies. Through the years from Dr. Bird to Dr. Custer and Dr. Fagerquist. All of them have taken care of my babies (two have passed) one time or another. It's not just the Doctors. The receptionists are also Fabulous as well as all the Vet Techs. In fact, the entire staff is top notch. They have helped me through the years with a lot of difficulties with very sick animals and I just can't thank you enough for all your love, care and support. You guys ROCK!!!!!!

My boyfriends cat experienced an issue. He doesn't have a vet around here and I called 4 places. By the time I got to Spencer I was in tears. The lady on the phone got me calmed down and got us an appointment. They were fantastic getting us in. Checking her over, and giving us multiple options how to deal with it moving forward.

My doggo just had his first appointment here and I'm 1000% happy with our visit. The front desk people were customer service superstars and our vet tech and the veterinarian were absolutely outstanding! Our vet tech, Jennifer, was highly knowledgeable, extremely patient, naturally amazing at making my nervous dog feel welcome, and carefully made sure we got everything we needed. The vet was fantastic and offered excellent solutions for all of my concerns. She really took the time to get my dog all the meds, all the tests, all the everything he needed. I'm very impressed with their pro handling of my doggo as he's enormous and has immense fear issues, having been a starving & abused stray. They went above & beyond to make my dog feel safe and comfortable. I'm so delighted with this place and we'll never go anywhere else. This is the third vet I've tried in this area and this clinic is everything I was hoping to find. Thanks!

I can not express how happy I am for the care and compassion that was giving to me and my dog Bailey. We brought Bailey here because we knew she had some medical conditions that needed to be addressed. From the moment we were greeted there was nothing but care, compassion and professionalism given to us. The Dr. followed up with a call explaining what they had found and the treatment she need as well as answered all our questions. To our surprise after a week of Bailey being on her meds we again received a call from Spencer Veterinary Hospital checking up on Bailey to make sure she was doing good. This is by far the best place to bring your pet. I have never had such a positive experience with a Veterinary Hospital.
