People here are very nice, however they are very expensive and most of the food is expired, or old. and I had phorid flies flying out of my packaged vegetables when I got home🤢 And the fact I’mseeing now that others have the same experience. I hope they’re doing something about it for future customers, but I’m sure they’re just responding to months of bad reviews and not doing anything lol. I rarely write bad reviews but I’m grossed out and disappointed. Especially at the price point. Never again.

This store needs a remodel and badly, I went here recently to instacart for someone and they were out of half of what I needed. If I was a customer I’d get better prices at Hannaford than here sorry to say this because hannaford has a better rewards program.

Great selection of fruits and veggies. I love the buy one get two free sales !! From iced coffee to pet food, they have everything here. The associates are always helpful and friendly.

Price Chopper is a good grocery store with competitive prices. It has most of what I need, but has a limited selection if you are looking for less common items. This store also could go for a makeover with a more modern feel.

It's a small town grocery within a chain.Always clean, usually well stocked, generally friendly.It being small is the only reason it's not higher rated as being small and dealing with a smaller customer base means limited selections.

Horrible selection. Very drty store. Out of date foods rotting. Meat brown not a usual color. Iteams keep disappeari g and never return. Selection is low!

The majority of the staff have been working there a really long time and are helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly people.Although it's an older store, it's typically clean and well stocked.My only issue is that for some reason, this store gets a new manager every 6 months or so, which is just strange to me.It's particularly frustrating if there's a specific item you really like because every time there's a new manager, you have to beg them to get it. Then explain that it is possible to get it. Then one of the long term worker steps in to help a little. It's a long, frustrating process. If you do finally get the item stocked again, its time for a new manager. 🤦‍♀️I gave up on my specific item as the latest manager didn't seem very friendly or open to my asking. Now I just go elsewhere for it. 🤷‍♀️

I hadn't been into this location in years and I was immediately impressed by the produce department walking in. The selection is great, the displays are appealing and the produce has been incredibly fresh. Your associate, Ben, was incredibly helpful answering questions that I had. Keep up the great work.

I was waiting to pay at register this morning but this lady sent me to register 2 when I asked why she said because she’s closing in 3 minutes ok then turn your light off, I walked to register 2 but another person went to her register and of of course helped him outWHY ITS THAT?You need to be fair to all your customersEither that was RACIST am African AmericanThe other person wasn’tOr she was just been lazyIt doesn’t matter I had more than the other customer your light is on you supposed to cash me outVery unprofessionalAnnoying and disgusting

Nice store. So, so much better than the Worcester Price Chopper.I never go here since I assumed it was similar to Worcester's but glad I did. Better prices and a MUCH nicer store. Everything super neat and the baked goods were good. I went on a weekday and it was very quiet.

I really want to like this store, but I can't. There's a gray haired teller that always complains about her job and makes my wait times very long. She's only there during the work week early in the mornings. I've noticed that I'm missing things that I've picked up once I get home.This store doesn't keep up there stock very well either. She seems to like cats and takes care of her mother(only good trait she has)

I used to shop at Price-chopper in Spencer a lot, however now I will go elsewhere. First of all the store needs a make over. Second, I was in need of a new store card because my previous one split in half. So I went to customer service, and asked for a new card. The employee couldn’t find me in the system under my phone number. Instead of giving me a new card, I was just sent on my way. 🤷‍♀️ I’ve had a store card since Price chopper in Spencer opened. No card, won’t be back.

Overall this store needs improvement. The produce section is horrible to say the least. It's not common to find spoiled produce along with expired products on the shelves, and freezer burned seafood. This has been the case for the past 3-4 years I've been coming to the store. I want to say the issue is a lack of proper management. There is a man who I believe to be the manager (tall, kind of bald white guy, usually wearing a dingy hoodie) as I see him in the store all the time up front by the checkout service kiosk. He seems more interested in chatting with his work buddies than actually managing them and the store floor. I appreciate the cashiers as they are friendly and do their part to provide quality service. There's another manager that I see every once in a while (brown-haired white guy, kind of looks like the comedian Bryan Callen), I really appreciate that he comes in with clean and proper attire. I usually seem him speed-walking around the store actually working and maintaining the shelves while also smiling at customers and being helpful where he can. In summary the store needs improvement and the issue seems to point to a lack of proper management and oversight. Usually shaking up management and promoting those that deserve it are good options when looking to fix these types of issues especially while seeing little fault with associates.

First trip / last trip. More expensive than hannaford, worse quality. Produce went bad before expiration date. Smelled absolutely rancid upon opening. I rarely write a negative review, this store should just close or sell to another brand that is actually serious about quality. Waste of money.

My partner does most of the shopping and likes this store, but today out of about 40 people in the store only 4 had masks and none of the 4 were on the staff. She was wearing a mask and had gloves on too. None of the staff members did. So, the question is whether to patronize a store that does not take controlling the virus seriously and where staff is not role modeling proper precautions for the patrons? If I were a store manager I would now want to have the authorities tracing back the origins of a local outbreak coming to my store. Then if they said my staff had not done due diligence and at least tried, and people had died .... well I just would not want to be in that position.

Spencer Price Chopper is a grocery store with great prices & a wide variety of food. Staff is always pleasant. Self checkout available. Bakery items are always great & fresh. Restrooms available for customers.

I really like price copper grocery stores, they have a great selection of food, with a huge produce area and a decent organic section. The prices are also really competitive. I typically go here when I want something specific because they always seem to have it.

There are two major problems with this store.The first is that if something is on sale, it won’t be out on the shelf. If it sells out, it just gets left empty every time. Buy One Get One sounds like a bargain until there’s only one available.The second is that the employees need to watch their mouths around the customers. Maybe don’t talk about how “the people here are terrible” (in the main entrance, no less) if you’re trying to get them to buy things at your store.

Sunday an I can't find produce that is fresh, or even there. No broccoli, no bananas, and the meat being past the sell by date by two days is completely unacceptable. Staff just trying to get through their shift. Big Y more expensive but sometimes can find what you need, Hannaford a longer drive but probably better than the rest.... Stop going to price chopper or stand and make them accountable.

Most people tend to shop on Sundays to plan out for the week and expect to have certain common items available in the produce section. As a shop that boasts your great produce, I have been terribly disappointed, more than once. Today there were no bananas, no broccoli, and other produce was already wilted or wrinkled (peppers, cukes, lettuce...etc). Very frustrating.Last week we found that most of the chicken available was 2 days past sell by date. I alerted the staff as I left however based on previous reviews it would appear this is still a common problem. Salmonella is not fun, PC, I sincerely hope you step things up in your processes and with your produce availability and quality.

The late night cashier is slow and because of her being only cashier on at night the line is always backed up. She tries too hard to socialize with customers. Never go to this store after 10:00 pm I guarantee you will regret it!!!

Very good grocery store with most everything I need in stock. Rarely crowded with friendly and helpful staff. Produce section is OK.
