I love going here for all my fish supplies and fish/invertebrates. They have a great selection of driftwood and many other supplies. The fish are well taken care of. The owner is very knowledgeable and kind. I've taken my toddler here to purchase fish; he loves looking at the fish and fur animals. I'm so happy I found a great local fish place.

My go to place for frozen rodents to feed my snakies and their fish selection is huge! The lady and the young man have always been pleasant with me and always helpful! I also think its cool that they have a small plant section which is a cute little add on if youre someone that likes to see leaf props growing

Ive been following their FB page since it came across my FB feed a few months ago. I finally had some time this past Friday night to check it out for the first time. I purchased a nice Seachem HOB filter for my 20gal tall and some really good sized live plants for my other aquarium. They have a really good selection of everything possible. Reptile,dog and cat even furry little critters. The fish room by far the best I've seen in a while. Freshwater selection is huge and they have a really nice saltwater section also. Prices aren't bad and they're a private local small business not some corporate chain. I talked with the owners for a little bit and they are super nice and very knowledgeable. I will definitely be back.

I get all of my animal food and supplies here (dog, hamster, lizard, and shrimp). They have also been very helpful in suggestions, and even looking into new stocking options, that fit into my dog's poultry/beef free diet. 11/10 recommend!!!

A little bit of everything here. Great place for small pet supplies. They carry supplies for small reptiles, rodents, tropical and marine fish, cats, and dogs. They offer a rewards program there and the staff are helpful without being overbearing, which makes for a pleasant experience. Happy customer!

The store has been here for a while but with different owners . They kept a lot of it the same, which is good. However, the original owners were much nicer. Recently, I called up, and I was told by the younger guy in the aquarium room that he would not be there in the afternoon, but I can still bring down some fish for trade-in. I got my fish loaded in the car and called them on my way down there to make sure they we're not going to close early as it was about 1 hour until close. The older man got very mad that the younger man told me to bring fish down there and proceeded to tell me they may not have room for them. I got to the store, and the old man was very snippy with me and told me he would not give me any credit. I still thanked him for taking the fish. I told him I had to make room for a Christmas tree, so I was taking down one of my tanks. He gave me a very snide remark. " Yep, everyone's making room for the Christmas tree. We aren't a charity and can't take everyone else's pets this time of the year." Before this, my experiences with the store were good, but I will no longer be back.

The staff are always a wonderful help. Nice selection of pet supplies as well as many fish and some rodents. I feel bad for the hamsters in their tiny holding tanks though. I know that running a business calls for slimmed down overhead, but maybe a wheel placed in the tanks would help the hamsters have less stress? Just a thought. Overall nice store 👍

I Went to and spend a lot of money. I do have to say they have beautiful fish. But when it comes time to testing water and then lying about it that is not OK. I left there went to another store had the store owner test my water and my water was fine but there I was told it was not. The rules We're followed by me an d more money spent ..I will never go back there you can't trust then . I hope someone chokes on the 123$ .

Very sad pet owner. We bought two blind baby rats and they are so sweet. She had them as feeders and said they bite, but they love to give kiss and they boggle their eyes and grind their teeth. She's killing very loving rats that don't need to be feeders. Plus he prices are too high but we feel happy to rescue the small baby girls.

This company is the definition of professional. On every level. Knowledgeable. But actually knowledgeable. Not like cliche I'm writing knowledgeable because it's a word people like to throw around, but actually actually knowledgeable. Can ask basically anything regarding aquariums and feel confident in their response. Incredibly impressed. Talked to one gentleman on the phone for literally 45 minutes about the fog I've been having an issue with. 45 minutes! Not once did the tone of voice say anything aside from he was not only happy to help but excited to share his knowledge. I just got off the phone with another gentleman that I talked to for probably 15 minutes about my spas fish and he's running through details with me and we're trying to conclude whether or not it's a parasite or just a spazoid rosy barb. I'm telling you if you checked these reviews hoping for a recommendation to give them your business you got mine 10 fold. They will retain all my business as long as I have fish. That's a guarantee. I wish I had another tank and excess money just so I could give them more business. Amazing place. 10/5 stars.

Pretty below average place. I purchased a betta here. All of the bettas are very very young, to the point where you need to take extra precautions, especially with making sure your filter is not too strong. Normally bettas are more or less mature at pet stores, but they are barely old enough to have colors here. Fish are pretty and are cheap, but the quality is on the lower side. Alot of the bettas were pretty sickly looking. I bought the healthiest looking one and even then he has a bad swim bladder. Not swim bladder disease caused by infection or constipation, but an actual defective swim bladder. He is healthy and energetic outside of that, but he just cannot swim normally. They do have a large selection of essential chemicals and tank items, but everything they sell can be found for half the price on Amazon or at petco. I think the biggest fault however, is not the items they sell, but the people who work here. Older guy who I am assuming is the co owner, followed us around the whole store breathing down our necks. It's not like he was trying to make conversation or give advice, he just silently stared at us like we were going to steal a $10 fish. We came in the evening, but it was still about an hour and a half before closing. He never smiled once and was giving off the feeling like he wanted us out. Even when we checked out (with who I am guessing is the other owner and was marginally more friendly), he still just kinda stared at us with an angry look. Honestly I don't care if the bettas were $1 and in perfect health, I wouldn't come back just because of how he acted. I don't expect someone to roll put the red carpet, but atleast don't try and make us feel unwanted when we are shopping in your store. I would recommend making the drive to Emmons in simsbury. Have not purchased from Emmons, but the employees actually made us feel like we were allowed in the store.

Awesome pet store! I bought a parrot cichlid and food. The owner and staff were amazing and took the time with each person which is awesome. They had a amazing selection of fish that are hard to find and was even showing my kids the shark egg that he had.
