I would rate this store as a 4 because staff have been helpful, and I have found some things there that I don't find at other stores or that are often out of stock at other stores. Their prices are a bit steep. Ironically, I hear that many customers that shop here manage to have many accidents in this parking lot... to the point that one customer died as a result of their injuries. For this reason, I would recommend that the store install speed bumps to prevent more accidents in the future. If they do not, I would suggest being on alert at all times in the parking lot.

Great service, fresh produce. Fish is fresh daily and the price is very good.. They'll also prepare your purchase.. The 🥪 sandwiches are great and made to order. Hot pizza by the slice or you can get an entire pizza made to order.. wide selection of chee

What do I love most about My Big Y? I love being eyeballed at the self checkout lines by the low-level checkout police associate like I’m a common criminal and about to steal everything in my cart. Meanwhile, people around me are looking for help while the associate reluctantly waddles over and taps a few things on the screen without saying a word. I’ve been shopping here back when management said that they would only have regular checkouts because they valued customers that much. How times have changed. Slightly better than S&S but not by much.

We shop here about 2-4 times a week, so here's our review. Overall bit expensive for the quality and treatment. Besides the moldy donuts and being looked at like I'm going to steal something this grocery store is okay at best. It's close by, but I guess I'll have to branch out on days my patience is wearing thin.Meat department is decent.

There's always a good selection. Produce is fresh and local. Unfortunately I never remember to "load" my coupons so I miss out on savings so I shop more were I get overall lower cost.

Big store. It is a haul from one side of the store to the other. The bottle return is located on the left-side of the building outside of the store. It has everything you need. Condition is fair. Not run down but not fresh. Bathroom is meh. Amazingly large flat parking lot. Very easily accessible store.

I have been going to this Big Y for years. (Every week)I've been noticing it slowly declining both in customer service and cleanliness.Cashiers lately (I go after 5pm)Have been less than helpful and don't even seem to want to be there.Tonight the cashier let my groceries pile up and didn't even want to bag so I started myself and had to ask him to help.I am disappointed that they have let it get to this point and am looking to find an alternative place to shop.

This is a great Store. It has typical Big Y products but a few more that other stores do Not have.. they also have a wider selction on many things through out the store. The staff is polite and courteous offering help wherever its needed. The store itself is impecably clean, food displays are tastefully done giving a very upscale feel to this Big Y.Well done Big Y.!!

The bakery here is terrible!!!I ordered a loaf of bread on a Friday because they were out of stock.The girl said it would be here Sunday.I go back Sunday and nobody had any idea what I was talking about.Then they ignored me and got rude.I went to the Big Y in Westfield and they had plenty of the bread that I was looking for.If the Southwick employees don't want to do their job, they should stay at home and let someone else do it!!!!

Wonderful selection and well kept. Lots of options for vegan, gluten free, etc. The staff are helpful and attentive. Make sure to bring your reusable bags! They have bags for sale there if you need as well.

Prices are always way out of line compared to their peers. They charge for grocery bags in states and communities that do not require them to collect the 10 cents per bag. They are now featuring Boars Head deli meats which are all exorbitantly priced, and now have very few good quality, less expensive choices. I was a loyal customer, for a very long time, but no more. Only in a dire emergency will I shop there...sorry to say!

This location has recently made two major changes. They have totally rearranged the shelf space with most items on entirely different rows than previously. Secondly, they have installed numerous self checkout islands and reduced the number of cashier staffed lanes.Today, the store was quite busy. Only three cashier lanes were open and only two had baggers so there was a slight backup. The self checkout islands were busy as well; with many customers needing additional help with the system.This still among my favorite grocery stores. It is clean, neat, fairly well stocked, and the staff is always pleasant and helpful.

Great savings with the silver rewards card. The bakery is always fresh. They have an onsite butcher that will cut at the counter. U may wanna call ahead for prime rib or the larger cuts. They do stock some in the case as well so you'll always find something. Most of the produce is local when in season. The staff are courteous and seem genuine. Over all, a good place to shop.

I always shop here rather than the ones closer to my home. I like the staff and they have a nice selection of produce and deli foods. It's a calmer atmosphere than the other ones. I can shop in peace

Once a year comes Packi time and yes big y has the best . I was very disappointed to discover the southwick ma. store only sells pre packaged boxes and no longer offers the option of picking the your favorite , so sad another long time service lost forever.

Of the several supermarkets in our immediate area, the Southwick Big Y is often our "go to" market. Their produce is better than other local markets. The dairy and frozen food aisles just have a wider variety of products than other areas markets. The recent refresh of the store displays and the addition of the the "My Express Checkout" app make shopping here very convenient.I just wish you guys hadn't eliminated the Culinary Tours broths. My wife and I really miss those.

Staff is less friendly these days, deli is horrid. Managers ignore customers to put up tags. Pizza guy went out of his way to pick the smallest slice. Sighing the whole time.Amazing quality foods but over all horrid staff other then butcher/fish staff.

Used to be pretty good, but the management has gone downhill. No express lanes with loads of people in line, and the bakery doesn't stock major items like muffins anymore. The marginal lead this place had over other local stores has evaporated.
