I've worked with the Southbridge ACO finding homes for dogs that no one wanted or claimed on a few occasions. We run a small rescue and she has always shown compassion when dealing with the dogs that have not been claimed. Her attitude has always been professional and, her work ethic is top notch.

The lady animal control officer is SUPER unprofessional. We have called multiple times and she never picks up the phone. We have also left multiple messages and she never calls us back. Unreal! This is a waste of our tax dollars! Who the hell is this Jewell lady, and what the hell does she do all day!? Every seems to be complaining about her, yet nothing is done. The town needs to replace her! UNREAL!

I had the pleasure to speaker with the Southbridge Animal Control Officer today, and found them to be caring, competent and knowledgeable. I appreciate the time they took to give me the information I needed. Anubis, the dog, thanks you as well...And, as a side note, it’s obvious from reading the negative reviews they received online, that the Officer in question acquired said reviews in the course of doing a GOOD JOB for the rest of us... They should be proud :)

The woman running animal control needs to find something better to do with her time. After just moving to the area, we were out for a walk with our 6 year old dog who has walked his whole life off leash without a problem, as we have done a lot of training to make this possible. She approached us as if we were criminals. Then we were interrogated for walking down one of the town certified trails, that just so happens to come out on the edge of a cemetery. The cemetery has no listing of no dogs when you come off the trail. She accused us of trespassing and held us for 20 minutes to ask questions about our dog who was behaving perfectly. You are supposed to be here to protect and serve, yet when I lost one of my other dogs for a few minutes and called her to ask for help in the middle of the day, I couldn't even get a phone call back. You are working backwards. Try to serve a real purpose instead of harassing people who are not bothering anyone. The town of Southbridge needs to give this woman a new curriculum. Someone explain to her the protect and serve thing please. Go help people instead of harassing them. You should be sitting by the phone all day helping people find their dogs or protecting others from any dangerous animals. Please take a second to reassess your attitude about this job. Maybe it's not for you.

Your animal control officer is in desperate need of training. The Humane Society of the United States has some great classes she should checkout.I except the blame for my dog getting out and not having her License for Southbridge yet, but your officers aggressive and accusatory behavior is deplorable! My dog is old and sick, NOT neglected...her vets exact words! By behaving the way she does she is making enemies with the public she is supposed to be serving and educating. She owes me an apology, but i doubt I'll get it. I will be filing a complaint, not because she was concerned with my dogs health, that is her job, but for her behavior and attitude. Her 16 years of experience...lol. She NEEDS training!!
