We’ve been going here for almost a year and the staff has consistently gone above and beyond daily. Their daycare is great and they all personally know the pups personalities and nuances. We’re constantly impressed by their professionalism and how personable they are. Very easy to schedule and great to have as a daycare for our pup. We highly recommend them to anyone and everyone.

My pup Tope LOVES her RiverDog family! She grew up with them, starting her visits when she was a few months old and continuing now as a lively 3-year-old. As a cattle dog mix, she is wary of people she doesn’t know or trust. But whenever we walk into RiverDog, Tope shows full-on butt wiggles and tail wags to see her 2- and 4-legged friends. We’re so grateful that they’re part of our extended family!

My dog loves going to RiverDog daycare. The staff is very friendly, and more importantly, takes great care of my pup and gives him lots of cuddles. They're also very responsive and have typically replied within an hour of any email I've ever sent. While I do wish there was an outdoor space, I understand restrictions of being in the city and you have to make sacrifices to get in a great location, and it seems like they frequently clean inside (I always hear the vacuum going when I'm picking up my dog).

Great daycare services! The staff members are friendly and put lots of care into the work they're doing. Given how forcefully my dog pulls me into the storefront every time we approach, I feel pretty confident he enjoys himself. Definitely recommend!

My dog can be challenging socially...I finally decided to give daycare a try and he LOVES it! The staff is so caring and patient with him. He used to be very nervous and unsure when he got there and now he walks in with his tail high wagging excitedly. We are so lucky to have River Dog in Union Square!

The staff were very friendly and helpful when I ran in to buy a special treat for my dog. However, I was dissuaded from asking about training classes or boarding because it smelled so strongly of ammonia (I am guessing from not cleaning dogs' excrement properly). I could barely breathe in the store and found myself breathing through my scarf.

Riverdog’s team is tremendous. It starts from the top with the ownership that took over in 2017 and is true for each person who works there. Our dog Lucy attends their daycare daily, and the appreciation we feel for the level of care and personal investment in our dog can’t be overstated.

I literally cannot say enough positive things about this daycare. My pup Minka cannot control herself when she is near any of her friends from riverdog and is anxious to get back there always. Everyone I have interacted with has been friendly and welcoming. During covid, having a place close by like this has been a godsend. I can't speak to the other reviewers experiences but I've had nothing but the best experience from taking my pup here.

Very convenient doggy daycare facility in Somerville. Staff are awesome and friendly and really take the time to get to know your dog. I don’t hesitate to leave my pup here, knowing she is safe and well attended to.

The obsession is REAL! Staff gives amazing advice and cares deeply for our pup. He is never more excited than when he's walking to daycare (he knows his route). Daycare even helped him develop better manners, which was AMAZING! Thank you for all you do, we are so lucky we found you during COVID. It was the best thing we could have done for Bolt!

I just had a terrible experience with the facility in Somerville. Firstly, they make you do a 4.5-5 hour evaluation to see if your dog is a fit. And they make you pay for half the day to do the evaluation. Secondly, I left my puppy here for the evaluation and he came back and not only had diahrea but also vomited. Lastly, to make matters worse, we had left his food specifically labeled there. Instead, they fed him something else and won't even own up to it! During pick up they told us he ate all of his lunch then handed us the full bag of lunch. After I called them they said they misspoke and he had half. I measured what was left in the bag we got back from them and it was the full bag! As soon as we got home my puppy also had so much water as if he hadnt had it all day! Are they even making sure there are plenty of water bowls? I doubt it!I'm not bringing my puppy back here ever again and if you love your puppy you wouldn't either!

Riverdog is the best! They are super responsive and always friendly and helpful. Our dog loves it there and gets very excited when we are dropping him off. We know he's having a great time all day.

Our pupper LOVES RiverDog. We’ve been sending her there since she was about 3 months old and it’s hands down her favorite place in the world. Without RD, we would have been lost socializing her as a puppy during covid. She is a very social gal too, so RD let’s her get out all her energy so she’s ready for snuggles when she gets home.

I appreciate your fast response, your attention and your concern for your customers therefore I will change my review to four stars. Hopefully, this change of management will avoid the situations that I went through here, I will send you an email with the details so you can avoid this in the future.ORIGINAL: The dog training here did not go as expected. I would definitely not recommender them or I would not take my dog here again, they do not stand behind their promises or services

My dog was bitten while there to be evaluated. They didn't tell me, and I didn't know until I saw blood on my tile at home. This means they don't watch the dogs, or they choose not to tell me he had been bitten by another dog. Either is a horrible failure. He also consumed water when he got home like they don't have water available for them.

Great little store. They don't have a lot of selection but you can be sure that anything you get there is high quality. The staff is very friendly and offered to give me samples for my picky dog. And there's a cute cat that hangs around the store that my kids love to visit.
