Dr. Polis is the smartest most thorough vet I have ever been to not to mention her kindness. The vet techs are also so sweet knowledgeable and compassionate. Dr. Polis found issues in my digs that were never examined by previous veterinary clinics and we are so fortunate to be in her care!

Dr.Polis along with the techs and receptionists will always have our gratitude. When we thought something was wrong with our Jelani they told us to bring her in right away and they were the first step in her recovery. Dr.Polis acted very quickly and advised us as to what our options were and was completely honest. This was one of the hardest things we have ever gone through but because of the help we received we are overjoyed to see our kitty more energetic than ever. It’s still going to be a long road but we wouldn’t want our princess to be cared for by anyone else. By coordinating her care between Dr.polis and the Swansea vet E.R. She has made great strides in recovery and we are very hopeful for her future. From the bottom of our hearts, Taylor and I thank you all for everything you do.

Had an okay experience bringing my dog here. Vet barely looked at her teeth but did address my primary concerns which was helpful. Paid an exorbitant amount of money but wanted my dog to be healthy. She ended up with an allergic reaction to the vaccine and I called the office to ask for the amount of allergy medication I should give her ( I didn't want to give her too much or too less) - I was put on hold, hung up on, and calls were not picked up to the point that I drove to the vet office and honestly have never had such an experience of pure "why is this girl here and disturbing us" vibe. Thankful that my dog was ok after giving her Benadryl but was heavily disappointed in the service I received. If the staff can't handle picking up the phone to answer 1 question, what's the point?

Ok, lil history.. I adopted my cat from forever Paws(5stars for them as well) and they got him from Puerto Rico, so he had to go through a lot to get to me.. when I got him, he had had all his shots. He was chipped he was neutered he was good to go. He quickly became my best friend. One morning I wake up around 5 AM and I notice he’s got one leg tucked underneath him and he’s walking limping. Now I’m freaking out because my boys in pain and I wanna know why. So I called my mom!!!🤣🤣. Oh, I didn’t have a vet at the time and I called all around for about two hours to try to get a vet and nobody was excepting new patients. So I was going to be forced to bring him to the emergency vet which was going to cost me about $500 and that was the best case scenario. I was already all the way out to New Bedford calling vets. I didn’t get a hold of anybody at this place yet, so I tried again. I finally got somebody on the phone and basically begged them to except my cat and help him, because I was freaking out because my boy was in pain!! The woman put me on hold for about 20 seconds got back on the line and asked if I could make it down there in 20 minutes. I said I could be there in 10. They saw my cat did an overall physical found out that his foot was just sprained. I didn’t need a $200 x-ray. All that being said. They were very professional very caring. I was in and out in 45 minutes. Which was a blessing on such short notice. And I ended up saving about $300!!! I am so happy that they excepted Zeus and me, and in my eyes, there is no other vet!! I would give six stars if I could!! Your best friend, would be lucky to have them as a vet!! Thank you so much.. I’m actually trying to make an appointment now to get my my cats butt squeezed…lol

This is only on cost. They have raised the rates to trim my dogs nails from $15 to $28 now which is ridiculous. So the cost now on top of diabetes meds is $28. The staff is friendly and helpful.

I took my dog in to see Dr. Polis as a new patient for a second opinion after her previous vet was not appearing to take her severe allergies seriously. Dr. Polis genuinely cared about my dog and my concerns as her owner, she completed a thorough exam, completed labs and testing and prescribed my dog several medications that have made an incredible difference in the quality of life for my senior dog. This office helped my dog more in 1 visit than her previous vet did over the course of 4 months and that is not an exaggeration. I am so thankful for Dr. Polis and her wonderful staff.

I had my first visit today with my very sick kitty (skin infection, fevers) and I was blown away at how amazing they handled everything with him. They went the extra mile in every way. They talked me through the things I didn’t understand, they laid out my options in a thorough way, and they treated me and my baby with the utmost respect and gentle kindness. I had a vet tech named Jessica and the covering doctor, Dr. Z- both were amazing. And so were the lovely ladies at the front desk. Seems like a great atmosphere of people who truly love their jobs, and it makes a world of difference. I haven’t met the usual vet yet but I hear she is also wonderful. Bring your babies here- you won’t be disappointed.

I was there Friday with my dog snowy.I had a great experience with the doctor and staff .They called me about my order I had submitted and informed me of a better heart worm medication for my dog. I feel like they take the extra step to make sure your pet is healthy. It is a friendly staff, clean facility and very trustworthy. Thanks guys!

If you are looking for a reliable and professional vet for your pets DO NOT take your pets here! Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. Took my puppy here last week and dealt with an extremely rude, messy and obnoxious vet tech. I have been in twice before this experience and I have never met this tech, but she ruined my experience and I will never come back. Not sure of her name but I think she is new. She was taking personal phone calls yelling and swearing while dealing with my puppy, her appearance was very unprofessional and she was acting as if she was under the influence. Definetly no background check done on her and this place should be ashamed of themselves for hiring someone like that!!! Very rude to me as well when I was asking simple questions. Obnoxious is an understatement.

I took my dog Roki here for a wellness visit and was extremely satisfied with my experience here. Not to mention, it’s impossible to find a vet that accepts new patients. I was surprised by how professional and hard working the people are there. My dog and I were kept happy the entire checkup with the doctor and the vet technician (ashlyn, idk if I’m spelling it right). They were very calm and gentle, which is so important with my nervous Roki! Finishing up, I was cashed out by a nice woman named Mary Beth. Despite having confusion with my payment method she remained fully dedicated to my situation. She explained everything to me and I left with my first amazing experience there! Thank you Somerset Animal Hospital!!!

Love DR.REDDY and his staff always great w my.pets-- updated post jan 2022-, Doctor polis and her staff are very accommodating and caring, They handle all of my cat's well and professionally. It is also always very clean throughout the whole vet center. Sometimes a little bit of a wait to see Dr.Polis but it's always worth it, My pets are always handled well .all around 5 stars.

After I left for shots with my cat they called me 30 mins after to ask for an additional $50 for a shot. The doctor on the phone was fine but the nurses who transport the animals from the vehicle were almost scared to engage and talk to me which just seemed weird. They then had me schedule a follow up appointment which I called out of work for and upon arrival said I had no appointment today. Lack of continuity and communication ill be going elsewhere next time.

We absolutely love this vet, and his entire staff. They have taken care of all our cats for many years with such caring and expertise that we still continue to go there even though we moved four towns away. Dr. Reddy's gentle attitude and his skill at surgery saved our cats following two serious injuries. The staff have been great through both routine appointments and serious injuries also, giving such gentle, skillful and loving care that helped recovery. Because of this quality of care our cats have all lived especially long and healthy lives.

This office was fantastic with my dog! They took their time with him and never lost their cool with him. My dogs a 75 lb pitbull with the ground game of a UFC fighter, and that’s with the chill pill given🤦‍♂️ the woman who held him was so good even though he fought tooth and nail. Over 45 minutes she wrestled with him and at the end of the visit all of us in the room were sweating! I can’t say enough how grateful I am to the level of care, compassion and professionalism this office showed to my best friend. Somerset Animal Hospital and all the girls there get it done! My dog has been sick I brought her to this vet they gave her shots and some medication minded I bought the medication again after I finish wit the first one I had to pay for. she was never getting better so I brought her back and the dr specifically told me that it's weird how she wasnt getting better and he didnt kno what was wrong minded you supposedly a vets DR!! So he injected my dog twice with medication not knowing what's wrong with her.I let him thinking he knew what he was doin and was going to get my dog better.He never diagnosed my dog with anything because he didnt know what was wrong with her but did go and put false information on her chart and diagnosed her with a skin thing..I called another vet and they told me he should of checked her skin from the inside to the outside instead of doing all that putting my dog into risk.Personally dont take chances with your pets at this animal hospital in Somerset

When we brought our 🐩 in we found out he needed surgery. We were quoted a price of $450.00 and when we dropped him off we were slammed with a new quote of $650.00. This is so not rite. I live on a fixed income but cant let my 🐩 die either. Its just not rite to change the price that much. Especially when i was already quoted a price weeks ago.

They have been ordering prescription food for our 5 year adopted cat since June, suddenly they need to see her or they wont order it! Just wrong! The one who suffers is the animal. I will now take pets else where.
