What’s up with all of the homeless people living outside of the store. They are using the shopping carts to build walls around their tent. They make people feel uncomfortable. Something has to be done about it. The employees are rude and just socialize with each other the whole time. The prices are horrible as well.

Rude employees don't even great you, I just left on Monday on Jan 22. At 9:59 pm I don't know if it was management or what as well but they are rude to. And bagged my apples with my meat and my other fruit with my chicken. Stuck up they don't even say have a good night just hand recipe and talk to the management about how he's leaving and the management couldn't wait to leave just go go talk to his Co worker. Horrible service

Selling expired/extremely poor quality dry fruit/nuts. Last time we gifted some packets only to learn later that they had insects crawling out of the nuts.

5$ for two tomatoes, and 17$ for one box beef patty. Final price and label price are total different. (At least from the label, they are 4$ higher than I thought.)This is the second time I got “expensive” product at this store, believe it is not the last time. My angry is not about the “4$” issue, that’s about the betrayal and being fooled again, since I shopped in Shaws frequently in last five years. That’s really a long time relationship. Shame on u and myself.

Dont understand what the rush is at the deli you can never get the your cold cuts the way you want every chance they get they turn the knob on the slicer just to get you out of their face, it's like they want to get paid to work but do nothing in the process....1/28/2021This store is price gouging talk about taking advantage of the customer during a pandemic they only care about their finances and not the customer see pictures in this post

Shaws in white city plaza in shrewsbury...If you are going to close the deli 3 hours before the actual store closes then you should at least have the option of 1/4, 1/2, or a pound of what you were going to get. All that was out were pre packaged pound bags of American cheese which will for sure go bad if I buy it.Or maybe just close the deli completely since the people don't seem to want to do there job. I walked in at 2 minutes past 6 and everything was covered already like they closed at 530. I hope you like losing business to market basket. I came here because it was closer but I will never do that again. Market basket is at least reliable and the prices are reasonable so I left here and went to the deli their instead 😊

If I could give zero stars I would, do not go here! I came here today with my special needs child, hoping to grocery shop. Some random woman walked in an yelled at me an my kid. We were just by the flowers, my child was not being loud more disruptive. Upon calling for security to handle this woman cause duh yelling at a strangers child is inappropriate an 4 cashiers just stood there with no customers looking at me. An I wish I could say management was better but that's a joke. The manager claimed the woman who isn't a regular was mentally challenged as if that gives a right for her behavior. Upon me saying so she said the woman must have mistaken me for someone else. I have short green hair, unless this lady knows more woman with short green hair than I don't think so. I will never step foot here again an urge people with children especially to avoid this place. They apparently think strangers yelling at children is fine.

Got what I needed, I got a large Colorful PEEP'S Bunny 🐰 here! Seen it the other day at my local Shaw's down the street where I live for $11.98 , this Shaw's had a complete different price in general, $21.99 w/ 25% percent which brought 😳 it too around $16.00 and some changes, the company had manufactured sale tickets already on them for $11.98 , Had a huge problem trying to get it at the correct price, had to fix it & Go back into the store and have them re adjusted to be a thing overcharged me by a dollar and they fixed it luckily. My Step - Father had a huge problem get the potato salad for 97 cents if you use your Shaw's rewards by downloading it, thats that was on sale this past week. This store lacks customer service & friendliness & their rude here. For an up - scale area, this is not by far an ( Up- scale Shaw's) very disappointed/ disappointing to a high - up- scale area like Shrewsbury Massachusetts. I like shopping at Shrewsbury and going to the Shrewsbury public library. I don't know 😕 why this store always seems to have poor service for a wonderful area,they really should do something 🤔 about that. I did get what I was initially wanted at the correct price, with many things that held me up & took much of my time up .I really disappointed that I can't really voice my opinion because it looks like you want a 5 star review if you really cared about your customers.------------------------------Updated Review as of Today Friday October 13th, 2023 , this trip was slightly better than before. I would give this Shaw's about 3 -3 1/2 stars. Staff are questionable and not super friendly. They did have a lot of marked down / fall and seasonal stuff .

I’m relatively new to the area but I’ve been coming to this grocery store on a frequent basis. It’s like most other grocery stores, sometimes it’s busy and packed other times it’s kind of dead. Good sale prices here compared to other stores. Constantly see workers putting products on the shelf when it seems things are running low. I recently came in right before Christmas and as I expected it was busy. One of the ladies in front of me began complaining about an issue she had with the app and they had to call a manager over. A young kid came and quickly helped out the woman who was giving the cashier a hard time. The manager, Keano was very polite and attentive towards the customer and then went as far as getting on a register and taking me and and more customers. It’s good to see that the management here is able to help needed .

I was so pleased to shop at this particular Shaw's. I've been having bad luck at grocery stores in general but this one was clean and well stocked. The produce wasn't gross even though it was later in the evening. Best of all the employees were friendly and one guy in particular saw the line was long and jumped on a register and then another staff member did the same so they went from one register to three in a matter of minutes. As I was leaving I heard the supervisor thank the worker for jumping on the register. It was nice to see a manager treating staff with gratitude.

Went to do some shopping and cash my check. Always cash my check there. Could not cash my check because their payroll checks came in late and they needed to save the cash for their employees to cash their checks. I could not do shopping. I told them if I am unable to shop then there would be no need for them to get payroll checks. Not happy at all and going to Market 32 from now on.

The store is big and has great selection, the employees are friendly and knowledgeable. My issue lies with the meat department, the last few times I’ve gone either: the SELL by date has been for the previous day, or the USE by date has been for that day. Once I bought a package of ground turkey on a Saturday and went to cook it Tuesday...the smell was rancid. Aside from that I love the store and all it has to offer. Great location as well!

This Shaw's location is the worst grocery store in the Worcester area. From the disorganized aisles to the expired meat and produce, and the excessively overpriced everything, this is by far the worst grocery store in the area.

Only issue is parking is a bit messed up due to Plaza layout and Chinese restaurant in corner of the Plaza next to Shaws, making parking an issue at times. They carry most everything but sometimes they run out of sale items like everywhere else. Other than that, I would give them 5 stars.

My biggest concern is the smell of feces near the meat section. Take that into consideration if you decide to buy any type of freshly prepared food here. Also, some of the prices are unreasonable, just look at nearby competitors. With Market Basket moving in, I don’t think they’ll be around much longer.

The floor is clean, good selection, helpful employees. Produce is very good quality and the deli has fresh meats and good deals.Management refuses for some reason, to adequately staff the cash registers. At any given time there is always two registers at the main check outs and one express lane. There are nine checkouts and only three cashier's, this leads to lines often reaching the food aisles.

UPDATE 2: CHECK YOUR RECEIPT!!! I bought 2 items on clearance, both rang up regular price at $10 more. When I told the girl at the service desk she had an attitude and was snarky and arrogant. Terrible store. I'm done.UPDATE: CHECK YOUR RECEIPT BEFORE YOU LEAVE EVERY TIME YOU SHOP HERE. Literally my last 5 trips I have found I was overcharged, usually with sticker prices or sales prices not applying when I checked out. Then I had to go to the sevice desk. They're doing a terrible job with pricing here. Beware.Sales not as good as they used to be. New app isn't great.

Osco Pharmacy is great but the store itself - Don’t waste time. Everything is more expensive than their competitors. I don’t understand how Shaws stays in business. Literally stop n shop is down the street and the same products are less. Every time.

Haven't been there for years but heard an ad for steak tips. So glad we went. Spent $123.00 and saved $117.00 with the sale prices. Have 10 meat packages after splitting family pack up for 10 meals for 2 people. Cannot believe the incredible deals we got. Will absolutely be checking the flyers now. So impressed

Love Shaw's! Their rewards program is easy and it saves us a lot of money on the items we usually buy! Definitely sign up and get customized rewards! There's no reason to pay full price all of the time or just buy items when they go on sale!

Very disappointed at the level of customer service in this major grocery chain. It took having more than five people waiting in line for someone to open up just one more register. When that register opened, there was NO ONE to direct shoppers to the newly opened register.... which lead to “cutting” in line and angry customers. No leadership. No incentive to move quickly and efficiently by the cashiers... very aggravating. Customers were bagging for other customers while frontline employees looked on. End caps were messy. Obviously there is poor leadership in this store and clearly no one is held responsible for their jobs. Will not be returning, even if I have to drive an extra ten minutes to get to stop and shop. Very disappointing Steer clear !!!

Consistently bad experiences. They had sewage backing up into the store years ago. We never trust the meat here. Produce goes bad the next day too. We only shop here in a pinch, and for canned and pre-packaged foods only.
