Boswell’s Books was a lovely little find, tucked away in this cute little village of Shelburne. Boswell the cat came out to greet me and allowed me to pet him and was very welcoming! The book selection was great for the amount of space they have. There was a selection of all different genres of reading. I’m certain anyone could find at least something to read in there. And the service was great. We enjoyed talking with the staff and just visiting this cute little store.

Boswell was taking a nap behind the counter on the day we visited this wonderful bookstore. The shelves are filled with an assortment of literary genre--old and new releases. Good layout for browsing, too. Snd the staff was friendly. A must stop destination if visiting Shelburne Falls, or a worthy destination for those living in town.

Boswell has been the name given to the bookstore's resident cat for a few decades. Yards from the Bridge of Flowers, the shop has a wonderfully curated collection. Especially fine is the selection of local authors.

Great selection of new and used books at good prices. Boswell’s is tidy and cozy. Pleasant staff. And, of course, there’s Boswell, the bookstore cat. Currently Boswell is an elderly tuxedo cat who loves the windows. The store is just across the river from the Bridge of Flowers.Make a day of it. Boswell, Bridge of Flowers, and an ice cream!

I honestly came here for the cat but found they have a nice selection of some of my favorite novels, including those by Tolstoy. Prices are a little high, yes, but it's a small business and I appreciate the store as a whole, so it didn't really bother me.

This bookshop is wonderful, if you are in the area definitely stop in! Lots of great books to choose from, walkable to everything else in the cute little village, right near cafes and coffee shops and the Bridge of Flowers. Love it ❤️

Boswell is the store's mascot kitty which drew us in, but we quickly realized this place was a gem. Something about it makes you want to stay till closing and visit daily. The charming and knowledgeable sales lady (unsure if she was owner or employee) turned us on to so many books and ideas it was hard to leave. Plus, the prices are great. Tho we live out of state, we plan to buy all books from her and ship to us.

Small, popular, well-located store named after their usually-sleeping kitty. The staff of three has created a remarkable small collection, with new items sharing shelves with used, so that browsing can yield some wonderful finds and special editions. A nice find in this quiet town. It's a pleasure to see such a lovingly run book store.

What a nice cozy bookshop. Boswell the cat is adorable. The prices are a little high, but there awesome variety and many book series that I love. Young Adult/Fantasy/Sci-fi lovers will enjoy this stop. It is in a prime location and while walking around (or looking at the flowers), you would be foolish not to swing into this place.Even if only to say hi to Boswell...
