The aquatics department is not taking care of its fish. I counted no less than 13 deceased fish, and that was just by a cursory walk-by. Some were being eaten by other fish, and others looked like they were half rotted in the tank. I always order my cat food and litter for three cats from petsmart, and I always donate to the charity at the register. No more! Fix your disgusting problem!

I went a few weeks ago to get bread specific kibbles. The brand is supposed to come with a vacuum packed seal on the bag. Each bag had a hole, not a single one was sealed. I brought this to the attention of the store. They were apologetic and tried their best to help. Fast forward to today, about a month later and I go back to see if they updated their inventory, and was pretty disappointed to see that they “fixed” the bags by slapping tape over the holes. I find this unacceptable. If the vacuum seal was broken, it means the kibbles were exposed. The kibbles are over 100 dollars a bag. Forget the money, why would I want to feed potentially contaminated food to my dog? Why would they try to sell this to people to feed to their dogs? I don’t think I can give them my business any more. Check your kibble bags for holes before you purchase from this location.

😭i don't know what this happened but they sale me the pregnant Guinea pig and she having three babies right now.I’m not even ready for this I don’t want to bring them back just because i worry about what if they not taking good care of the pigs.Picture is the day she joined the familyVideo is today of the babies delivered day

I have been going to this PetSmart since the day they opened and most of the customer service people have been fairly helpful and courteous. Several months ago I needed assistance with something trivial (engraving dog tags!) and had the pleasure of meeting Rob. Although I asked him a simple question, he went above and beyond and discussed my selected purchase and steered me in a better direction. He is this way on a consistent basis and from my observations treats every customer with dignity and respect.

Always have my cats rx food in stock. $5 cheaper than at the vet. The guy on the first register is awesome, friendly, and fast every time! Wish I knew his name. He said he used to live in Vegas

I have reviewed this store in the past and said I'd never go back, but.... I had to get cat litter desperately and this store is very close to us. I was prepared to hold my breath as I walked through the store. I was pleasantly surprised that the store is CLEAN and smells great! It was horrible foe so long, smelled like urine and the shelves were covered in mice poo. They have totally fixed the issues I had and now i going to be a customer again! Good job 👏 👍 👌

Stella always takes care of my 2 Leonbergers, Kara and Zeus. I know it can’t be easy doing them at the same time, But somehow she does it with a smile and the dogs look so good as always. The extra touch with Zeus wearing a tie is the best thing I have ever seen it was so cute. Stella is amazing. Thanks for everything Stella we appreciate it

My dog has been going to petsmart in Salem for 7 years. He is a very, very nervous puppy and I always warn the groomer of this beforehand when I book the appointment online. Today I went to pick my dog up after three and a half hours, and when I walk in I get told they are charging me a $10 fee for “special handling” due to how nervous he was on the cutting table. My dog is a Jack Russell terrier who is about 25 pounds, and is nervous, not aggressive. I could understand if it was a 60 pound dog that is putting strain on the groomer, or if my dog was being aggressive. But he was nervous and panting/shaking and I’m charged a fee. I know it is just $10, but I find it very disappointing that they can’t handle a nervous dog. I will never bring him there again, after 7 years of business.

Their grooming salon is impeccable! my cavalier king Charles has a tough coat to trim due to its standards of a long coat, but this salon nailed it! My Fendi looks adorable and her cut is exactly what I wanted! Thank you Petsmart and thank you GinaMarie!

I have to agree to some of the recent reviews with respect to a grooming appointment. Front desk is ran by favorites and 3 minute late attendance will cause you punishment of either permanent refusal or rescheduling. zero flexibility on customer service. last appointment we were there our puppy sat in the corner for few days refusing food. When checked with the vet turned out to be a minor cut under the tale. Puppy was all shaking after the treatment. Girls wrote that he was trying to run from them. Our puppy is only five months old.Try to go elsewhere until their staff issues resolveI wish i could give zero stars

The staff here are really friendly, LOVE the groomers and Banfield staff. They always recognize my dog and remember he had cancer, very friendly!!!

Awful customer service, the store manager is very racist and she is not professional at all. My dogs groomer Coral Y she is awesome, very professional, sweet and lovely with my dog I don’t have any complaint about her, I’m posting this because of the interaction that I had with the store manager.

Hi Just want to share my experience with Grooming Salon at PetsMart in Salem, Ma. Brought my poodle there to the same groomer ( StellaMarie), who was grooming him for the past year. Appointment was at 12:30, he still wasn't ready by 6PM ( when store is closing), my guess she was rushing, now he has multiple cuts on his face, half of his body longer then the rest and his paws wasn't touched at all. On top of that, some $20 package was added without any discussion with me. What an awful place.

My 8 month old Yorkshire Terrier Mini had his first big boy cut with Deanna. Deanna walked through exactly what I wanted, got a feel for what commands to use. She was able to gauge when to forge ahead and when to back off and walked me through everything. He looks so handsome. Deanna was awesome to work with and I appreciated that she saw he hated the blow dryer and knew enough not to continue around his face. He wasn't traumatized, he came running to me tail wagging. Big changes are hard for puppies and I'm so glad Deanna made his experience great. If you have a Yorkie or a new puppy I highly recommend her. She cares.

Avoid this place! Bunch of inconsiderate teenagers running grooming cost PetSmart another customer. Check out other review sites before giving PetSmart and this location in particular your hard earned money. You can and should do better!

Love this store, they almost always have whatever I need in stock and I am always greeted by Employees asking if I need help finding anything.We have had our dog for almost a year now and I have been taking him to the grooming salon here as well. Mary is the absolute best! She is so kind and very good with our dog Hank, who gets very excited and likes to jump. She always does a great job bathing him and trimming his nails and he always comes home smelling so good! When I tell him we are going to see her for a bath he gets all excited and runs to the door! All of the staff are so kind and friendly.

My little dog Brady gets a grooming every 6 to 8 weeks with Deanna, Who is very special. She’s wonderful with him, and does a great job. He looks absolutely adorable when he finishes with her. She has a lot of patience when caring for the dogs. The grooming staff is wonderful When caring for these dogs !!

If you need any reliability whatsoever for your grooming appointments, find somewhere else. Every single time I've booked a grooming service I've received a last minute call (sometimes even only 30 minutes before the scheduled time) to cancel or re-schedule. Always because the groomer is sick or there was a loss in their family. I've had single appointments rescheduled 3 times. It's an awful mess and extremely inconvenient when you plan your day around that
