Had our first shipment of meats from Lilac Farms…We ordered the Variety Steak package. The shipment was timely and well packaged. We ate the Porterhouse last night…WOW!!! Very tasty and delicious. The meat is exceptional quality. Very grateful to have this source of organic meats. I also like how Ryan communicates with customers. He is professional and very caring about his product offerings. We are on a monthly shipment schedule and look forward to our next order.

So far the quality of the product has been Great. What I would do to improve the process, especially on an order which has two of specific items, is to try to make the items match to improve the cooking process. The pork chops were very flavorful, but one was a single bone chop and the other one in the same package, was a t-bone chop. About the same weight, but different cooking times do to the size and bone. I found the same with the tenderloin. Cut from different sections of the loin, one had more sinew and was again thicker than the other piece. Nothing wrong with the produce, just could be packaged better.

First time ordering from Lilac Hedge Farm and I ordered the boneless ham for Easter Dinner. We were not disappointed. Delivery was timely and that ham! That ham was sooooo delicious. I can honestly same at some point during that meal someone at the table said “This is so good” or “ham has never been my favorite but this is delicious” or “holy smokes so good”. I guess I can say this was absolutely the best ham I ever bought or served and will definitely be buying more delicious meats and eggs from Lilac Hedge Farm! Oh, just an added bonus, My daughter-in-law ordered the beef package off your website right after dinner because that ham was so good she couldn’t wait to try your beef. Good job!

There really IS a big difference in taste and quality of this meat. I am so happy I purchased a mixed package of different meats. From the ground beef, breakfast sausage to the chicken and pork chops. Everything was delicious. We will absolutely be purchasing again. I can not wait to try other cuts of meat.

I ordered lamb shanks, which I love but have been impossible to find in stores. Also tried several varieties of their sausages. Everything delivered fast and fresh, and it's all bee first class quality and absolutely delicious. Especially enjoyed the Chicken sausages and the Beef ones -- really superior! My only regret is that I live too far away to drop in regularly, but I will definitely be ordering again.

I ordered my first box, the farm sampler. Delivery was great. Packaging was great. All the meat looked like all hand packaged. This is what meat should taste like! Delicious and flavorful. The bacon is phenomenal! Will be ordering again soon!

I haven't even bought their meat yet.This review is for the ambiance and bar alone.Coming here is worth it just to take in the calming atmosphere after a long work week, drink some beer, and watch the cows grazing in the field. Very relaxing with ice cream nachos.

I bought the 2x beef box and the roasts and steaks are excellent. I usually only buy Prime from Costco or Market Basket and Lilac Farm steaks are Prime. I feel even better it is from local farm and naturally raised. Then I started buying eggs, chicken, pork soups, meat loaf and Sheppards pie. All taste great. Buy local. I only buy my meat, chicken, port at Lilac farms. Bye bye Costco and MB

I have been shopping at the farm for several months now. We have tried quite a few different things and have never been disappointed. Every product has been top notch. The delivery service was great as well. Highly recommend fresh from the farm. Love Lilac Hedge Farm!!

Meat was packaged well, made it so easy to just transfer to our freezer. Staff at the farm were extremely friendly, and helpful. The most important thing; the meat is delicious! The lamb and hamburger was better than anything available at the supermarket, including whole foods. I recommend checking them out, you will not be disappointed. Please support your local farm!!

I am very happy with this business. They are helpful, personable, easy to reach and easy to get an answer from . I received my first order and even the delivery was great even though it was snowing!! They had to leave it at the end of my driveway because of the snow ( long driveway, not yet plowed) but they took a picture and showed me where it was and sent that to me. Very very happy about that! The quality of beef is outstanding and tastes delicious!!

I got my first home delivery by Lilac Hedge Farm and it is fantastic. The meat is superior to anything you can get in a grocery store, and I love supporting this local farm vs. consuming meat from factory farms. I am excited to try more products. Their subscribe and save program is wonderful and very flexible. I am glad I can pick what I want delivered vs the traditional CSA share method many farms use. What an excellent local business. I highly recommend them.

We recently had a post elopement pig roast reception at Lilac Hedge Farm and the farm and staff are simply wonderful. Heidi was amazing to work with, very prompt in answering our questions and helped with coordinating the hog / food / and drinks with us. The location is great, family friendly, amazing views. We couldn't have found a better place to have our laid back party!Side note - we also get all our meats through the farm, they come to our local farmers market and have home delivery which is great. Everything is top notch.

I received my Best of The Farm Box more than a month ago. I took this long to review because I wanted to try everything first. Loved it! Good quality meat and chicken. Tender and delicious. Loved the flavor of the breakfast sausages. And real bacon! Not that paper thin junk at the grocery store. One of these days I’d like to drive to the farm for a bit of farm experience but for now —- how lucky am I that they deliver to the South Shore. If you are going to be a meat eater, do yourself a favor and eat animals from a local farmer. Good for your health and good for the environment. Happy to be a customer of a Massachusetts farmer!

I waited a few months to give the product a fair review and I must say that everything is excellent. The hamburgers are the best I have had...the other products are all top notch as well. They have a great variety of products as well as the bundles. I like to be able to get the bundle and then add on extra's. Highly recommend!

We are incredibly happy we decided to order from Lilac Hedge Farm. Everything we have gotten (Chicken, Pork, Beef, Bacon) is noticeably better than from any grocery store and it feels good to support local farms. The prepared meals are amazingly delicious. The ordering and delivery was easy. The food arrived nicely packaged and ready to put in the freezer. The beef stew we ordered as part of our order was simply amazing. My wife and I are enjoying the locally raised meat. We will be placing another order very soon.

Fun farm and though it is close to us it was our first visit. Great selection of local beers and ciders and a kitchen with some good food options as well as an ice cream stand. Farm store has a great selection of meats, desserts, ciders and seasonal plants and such. There were Emus. Ostriches, Goats, Donkeys and even a Camel.For food we got a Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza which was 4 1/2 out of 5 starsAnd a burger and fries. Burger was a 3, was expecting more considering they sell farm fresh meats, tasted like a premade-pattt.Fries were a 2, as they were cold and just standard bagged fries. The pizza and Burger were warm though.Had some great Ice Cream (A Solid 4) while we listened to some live music.All.in all a fun farm and a great afternoon of fun, friends and food.

Got our first hone delivered order. Everything is single packaged so I just needed to put it into my freezer. It's so awesome to cook food that is tastes this amazing. I recently received my first order from Lilac Hedge Farm. The order arrived as promised and was totally frozen! I was worried about the refrigeration but was perfect. Everything that I have tried so far has been excellent! The pork chops exceeded my expectations and were delicious. I will certainly be ordering regularly. I’m so glad I tried this.

I give it a 4 star because I’ve only used the garlic sausage, which was excellent. If that is any indication then the pork purchase is well worth it. I have 1 complaint thus far. When opening the boxes, there is no cur sheet inside to know if you have everything. Aside from that, so far so good.

This was our first order and couldn’t wait to leave a good review. We ordered about 30lbs of meet. First, it’s was perfectly packaged and stayed completely frozen. Everything was labeled. The meat is sealed completely. Was able to throw it right in the freezer. Very excited to give this meat a try.

Great so far. The delivery person dropped off the wrong order first, but he came back and corrected it soon afterwards. The eggs are great, and I am just getting into the steaks. But I am excited to have a local farm source for meat, eggs and dairy. ( I am doing carnivore now.)
