Muddy creek has always been a wonderful second home to our dog. He loves doggie day care which has greatly improved his socialization after a rough earlier life which required rescuing. The staff and vets are excellent caring and professional people.

Dr. Neil is the best vet I have ever seen. My dogs love her and I would never see anyone else. If you're looking for a patient and kind vet you found her!

Muddy Creek is probably the best Veterinarian Practice my husband and I have ever taken our fur babies too. They go far above and beyond my expectations every visit we have had with them.

Muddy Creek is the Gold Standard for pets. I have 3 cats and 2 dogs and use the vet services, the boarding, and the grooming. Every service is professional, timely, and provided with complete explanations and compassion.

I switched to Muddy Creek last winter. My cat has so many health problems (respiratory, kidney failure, digestion) and Dr. Neil and all the crew are always so kind, helpful, and considerate. I am so happy to have awesome care for my cat that needs a lot of help! I am beyond impressed.

Really wonderful veterinarians, but hard to get an appointment now, I am noticing. They have been kind and compassionate w/ both of my pets, and open-minded about my also using a holistic vet bc of serious diagnoses. (I learned the MA Vet Board does not like integrative medicine, so this openness is a big deal to me.) I appreciate Dr. Aleksa and Dr. Neil making us feel heard. Just wish I could get in more quickly now that our new rescue needs to be seen but can't be seen for a while.

I felt at ease & welcomed by everyone! I have a cat, & Muddy Creek has a separate floor for cats, that is quieter. I had already been there a few weeks earlier to get his nails clipped. The tech held him & clipped his nails. She was great! The second visit was with Dr. Neil and Dr. Neil, was calm, gentle and Ami did great, getting his shot and a tech was there as well supporting Ami. I feel so good about Muddy Creek❣😊👍

Be weary. Many of the positive reviews have been submitted by bot accounts. In my experience the veterinarians at Muddy Creek Animal Care Center are negligent and incompetent. I strongly advise against bringing any animal here.

First time bringing our pup here and they were phenomenal. The veterinarian was friendly and explained things to us well. He handles our very anxious dog with care.We/he decided not to have her nails clipped because the visit was traumatic enough and he didn't want to ruin it for her. That was very thoughtful.

We recently switched to this vet for our two dogs. They have great hours, friendly staff and multiple doctors. My very nervous boy Ace just had a great visit with Dr. Neil for his annual vaccines and blood work. She was friendly, caring and very patient. I will continue to ask for Dr. Neil for all future visits. I would definitely recommend this practice!** update to edit: we also started seeing Dr. Aleksa regularly, and she is also phenomenal!

The best clinic to ever exist. My family has been going there for years and have nothing but great things to say about them. Kind compassionate, flexible and willing to give everything they’re all. I am so grateful for muddy creek and all they have done for our animals for all this time including our extended families petsI feel some of the new vet techs could use a little more training though. Vets and other staff fantastic, though very friendly some of vet techs don’t seem as confident, as I said no issue with manners just don’t seem confident around animals who may be challenging

I brought my 3 year old puppy in for a visit to treat an ear infection. This is the 2nd one she's had within a year. My vet Dr. R at Muddy Creek originally treated her with a one time med that helped but she got another ear infection several months later. Dr. R was not available and so the other vet, Dr. L performed an ear cytology and said both ears were infected. He then treated her with a new med, Mometamax and sent me away with instructions to use on her daily for 10 days. On day 3, I notice she had lost her hearing and so I then brought her in immediately to get examined. Dr. L said she had medicine/fluid in her ears and said it should clear out. He also insensitively stated that she may not get her hearing back which was contradicting. I went home to do research on this med that he prescribed and learned that the #1 side is effect is deafness and the reviews aligned with what had happened to my puppy, loss of hearing, deafness. I do not recommend anyone allow a vet to treat their furry loved one with this medication. After reading the reviews I spoke to Dr. L several times, he stated that he was sure her hearing would come back shortly. However when I asked him if this had ever happened before, he said no. My comment then was "how do you know her hearing will come back if you've never experienced this loss of hearing effect due to this med treatment" It's been three weeks and her hearing has not been the same since. Prior to this medication treatment, she could hear a pin drop (even w/an ear infection). She's not responsive and often startled as she doesn't hear you approaching. On my last and final visit, Dr. L apologized but quickly alluded to my puppy having hearing issues prior to this med. That's simply not true and his way of defending his wrong doing in prescribing this med without being fully educated on the side effects. On my exit, he stated that she may never fully get her hearing back. It's truly been an awful experience for both myself and puppy. Word of advice, don't let your vet use Mometamax as your pet may never be the same again.

I cannot recommend Muddy Creek enough. They are everything you want in a vet - super responsive and caring. Dr. Aleksa is super knowledgeable and calls us to follow up to see how our kitty is feeling after each sick visit which means so much to us. The whole admin team is also very helpful and responsive when coordinating visits prescription refills. Pricing is also reasonable and their hours are flexible, unlike some of the smaller vets in the area.

Went with my friend to have her aging cat seen. Despite it being a very busy day for them and the appointment time/date getting mixed up, the vet kindly worked us in. He examined and xrayed the kitty, saving a lot of anguish. We were very appreciative.

Let me start by saying I would never post such a review if it weren’t completely true and critical to your choice for a veterinary physician. I’ll try to keep this short. My dog, Neo, has been going to Muddy Creek since he was a pup. He’s now 10 years old. Over the years he’s attended obedience training and boarded there in addition to receiving all of his health care. The staff were always friendly, and kind and the doctors seemed knowledgeable. That was until a real emergency came up. Neo started developing lumps all over his body when he turned about 6. I asked the vet at every appointment if it was something to be alarmed about and he continually told me “it was just old man bumps”. This went on for years until a large one on his back ruptured and they took a biopsy. It was mass cell cancer. At that point they sampled all of the lumps and discovered that 7 of them were cancerous. I’ve since found out from Neo’s oncologist at Port City Vet Hospital that tumors don’t go from benign to cancerous. They’re either one or the other, so Neo had been living with cancerous tumors for 4 years. By some miracle it hadn’t spread internally yet. When I needed my vet the most they turned me away. A doctor new to the practice called to give me the horrible news. I was visibly upset and asked to speak to his regular vet in order to make an informed decision about what my options were and what to do next. Apparently, this upset her and by the time Neo’s regular doctor called me back, he informed me that he could no longer treat Neo and that they ‘weren’t going to deal with this’ and told me to go to a vet hospital and that I might have a better chance. He basically kicked us out the door with no regard. Fast forward, he actually lied on Neo’s records that were forwarded to the hospital and said that he offered to do the surgery to remove the lumps and I refused. The referred vet showed me the records. I since called Muddy Creek and had them remove that from Neo’s records as that was a bold face lie and they knew it as evidenced by the fact that they updated his records and removed that statement. This nightmare started in January of 2023. We brought Neo to Port City Veterinary Hospital where they diagnosed him with 9 mass cell tumors. While waiting for surgery he developed a serious case of pancreatitis that kept him in the hospital for 3 nights and then went into acute liver failure a month later. Somehow, by the miraculous efforts of the doctors at Port City and the love and care we gave Neo at home, he survived long enough to get the surgery to remove all 9 cell tumors. The arduous and expensive, almost $25,000 journey, is now over and I’m happy to report that Neo is home, fully recovered and cancer free. No thanks to Muddy Creek.I can’t say enough wonderful things about Port City Vet Hospital. The care and compassion they showed us was unmatched. Even Newbury Animal Hospital, when I switched Neo’s local care there after the ordeal with Muddy Creek, called regularly to check on Neo’s status and health. NOT ONCE did Muddy Creek call to see how Neo was doing after that initial day. Not once after 10 years of being a patient there. I can honestly say that Port City saved Neo’s life and Muddy Creek’s negligence, incompetence and lack of compassion almost killed him. Muddy Creek is great for regular checkups and routine care but beware and God forbid you ever have anything seriously wrong with your beloved pet.

I’ve been trying to get behavioral help for my cat for a long time, from a variety of different vets. For the longest time nobody took me seriously- talking to one of the cat vets at muddy creek was a breath of fresh air! She sympathized with me and listened to the problems I was having and I left with a prescription for anxiety medication for my cat. Ever since he’s been so much happier! The staff were all kind and professional and the facilities are great- I love that the quiet animals have their own wing!

Excellent experience. First time boarding our rabbits here while we were away. Everything was great. The staff was super loving and took great care of our girls. We will for sure be back to board here again for our next trip. Thank you Muddy Creek!

I've been with Muddy Creek for several years. When I moved to the North Shore, I checked out and visited all the vets in the area and I felt that Muddy Creek offered the best hours and services. Over the past few years, there has been a large turnover in veterinarian staff. With one exception, I have liked all the vets I have seen at Muddy Creek and have felt that they were all highly competent and very good with my nervous little rescue dog. The exception is Dr. Liebert, who was exceedingly rude and arrogant and seems to have an anger problem. I know that my experience with Dr. Liebert was not an isolated incident, as I have heard the same thing from other families. I currently have Dr. Neil who I think is very competent and wonderful to work with. I would say that Muddy Creek is quite expensive - our annual physical has run about $500 every year. All in all - a good veterinarian group, but stay away from Dr. Liebert.

We have been going to Muddy Creek for years. Everyone there is always great. This past week we had to say goodbye to our little sweetheart Rosie who has been mommy’s girl and one of my best friends for the past 18 years. I don’t have any words that can express my appreciation to Dr. Liebert for his compassion and kindness. He went so far above and beyond to help us. He is truly a very special person. Thank you also to Anna for recognizing how distraught I was on one of our last visits and taking care of things. You are a wonderful group. Thank you ❤️

I’ve had a good experience with the vets at muddy creek animal hospital so I thought the boarding would be top notch as well. Just want to write this review because I know how impt selecting a boarding facility for your pets can be. these were my observations upon picking him up that have left me unlikely to return. He immediately upon leaving the building peed for the longest time (as if he hadn’t been able to use the bathroom in a really long time), and when we got home he immediately drank water like he was starving of thirst as if he didn’t have access to enough water. The report card also said he was shy/nervous and reserved which do not sound like him at all. I would not recommend.

I really can't say enough about Muddy Creek Animal Care Center. Everyone we have had contact with has been friendly and professional. Fees are reasonable and transparent. Veterinarian gives a complete report of any labs or exams. We have also used the boarding services. The dog areas are spacious with indoor and outdoor spaces as well as elevated dog bed and privacy from adjacent areas so dogs can't really see each other. Great if you have an anxious dog. They offer additional play and cuddle sessions, again the fees are very reasonable and transparent. Highly recommend.
