From taking the time to have a detailed conversation on the phone, to visiting pups being under no obligation to take one, to having a Dan as a phone call or text away in the weeks following taking you little guy home incase you have questions or concerns there truly isn't a more comfortable and confident experience. The pups are beautiful, sweet, happy dogs that you can tell have been loved and socialized since birth. I am incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to get my best buddy from Just Behaving Golden Retrievers.

Bailey joined our family when she was twelve weeks old.. from a beautiful, healthy, well exercised and lovingly trained litter that Dan carefully raised. We couldn’t have been more fortunate to have a pup with her loving and always ready to please disposition, good health and beauty..The photos below are of her at 12 weeks, through the seasons and most recently at 12.5 years old. Having searched for breeders extensively before we found Dan, I can say especially now after all of these years having the absolute joy of Bailey in my family’s life , —there is no finer place to get a retriever and indisputably best loyal family treasured friend.

I swear Dan sprinkles some kind of magic dust on these puppies. They are just amazing. Their temperaments are amazing. They are extremely healthy, happy, loving, gentle, loyal and beautiful dogs. Dan is so knowledgeable about the breed and provides you with great resources when you first take your puppy home. He is also always available to answer questions and loves seeing photos and hearing how his old pups are doing. If you are looking for a golden, I HIGHLY recommend!! We can’t say enough about Dan or our new pup. It’s been almost 5 months now and our golden Walter is the best puppy I’ve ever had!! He’s a fantastic listener and came with a foundation that was so easy to continue training him. Dan was incredibly nice and really makes you feel like family, throughout the process he was very easily contacted, answered all of our questions, and made the experience incredibly quick and easy!! Seriously can’t say enough good things. As a first time dog mom I put in a lot of time researching my options when looking where to get a golden from in the area, and at the end of the day felt so comfortable with Dan and his pups. I wouldn’t have done it any other way, and can’t wait to get future goldens from him as well! Big thank you to Dan for our baby, because of him the puppy stage wasn’t even hard!! We feel so lucky and blessed to have our Henry! It has been very pleasant and easy to work with Dan. He knows his puppies real well and is always open to communication and offer knowledgeable advice. Henry is extremely inteligente, happy, sweet, and relaxed. He loves other dogs and people. Never have I had a better experience taking home a new puppy than I had with Dan. He was a pleasure to deal with. Our pup, Charlie, is a truly spectacular addition to our family of five kids. He is smart, calm (for a puppy!) and has an intuitive nature to him. I believe this has to do with Dan’s personality and how he treats his dogs.. you can see the mutual respect. Cannot wait til we are ready to add another pup to our pack, will definitely be back!

We had such a wonderful experience working with Dan at Just Behaving. He is very knowledgeable about raising and training dogs. We purchased our puppy, Nash, from him last summer and he is the sweetest dog ever. From day one, Nash has been mild tempered and gets along well with other dogs, pets and people. We attribute this to the gentle and calm spirit of Dan and his dogs.

I cannot recommend this breeder. Our dog was an absolute love but passed at a young age from an illness. This was a crushing loss. When we first brought him home, I had reached out to Dan and Heidi because I didn’t see any health clearances regarding his parents anywhere online or in his paperwork. They were not entirely forthcoming and I learned, after much persistence, that both parents did not have full health clearances. I do not feel they are responsible breeders.

Kona is the best thing that ever happened to me! Kona is the most relaxed, sweet, best personality dog you’ll ever find. He loves fireworks. He loves people. He loves children, he loves to cuddle. He literally is the best dog I could ask for. I believe it’s really because of the breeder, and the environment the dogs are in and how train their dogs. Can’t recommend them enough!

Sammy is the love of our family. She is the sweetest, best natured dog I’ve ever had. She LOVES anything alive: her people, other dogs, and even the ground hog in the backyard. She is fantastic off leash in the woods or at the beach, and is always running back to check on her people. She is SO kid friendly! She loves dance parties with kids when we host sleep overs, let’s the kids squirt her with the hose in the summer, and chases after them down the sledding hill during winter. She is also my son’s favorite pillow.I can’t recommend these dogs enough. They are so special.

The owner Dan of Just Behaving is amazing as are all of his pups. Dan is full of knowledge and is very particular in screening for his puppies forever homes. He loves updates of his babies and keeps great records of their growth stages etc. I hope to one day get our girl a "brother or sister" from Just Behaving. I would recommend him over and over again.

I would recommend Just Behaving Golden Retrievers as you can see below the great form and beauty of mine pictured below but i believe her calm tempermant is bred into her. She is constantly around grand children of all ages petting and pulling on her and remains calm.

We have had our Golden from Just Behaving for over four years now. He is the best dog we have ever met—handsome, smart, lovable very healthy and well behaved. Just behaving knows what they are doing. We were fortunate to receive a call back from @justbehaving that there were two red coat golden retrievers available for us to meet on a warm Sunday in November, 8-9 weeks old, ready for a good home!The whole experience was amazing. We arrived and entered what I would call a chicken cage, 8x4’, floor covered in straw. Two Goldens were placed inside with us, we sat on the ground, and met two love-bugs, no more than 14 lbs, with their baby fur all pristine and soft. How does one pick between two such adorable puppies; we almost asked if we could take both. But in the end, we picked the gorgeous female (she really picked us), and without thinking I said, “ Hello Molly, nice to meet you.” My two kids who joined the visit were amazed how fast the connection was made. Pure happiness can’t do justice for the exhilaration we felt as drove away with our new treasure, documents and medical records in hand, instructions as needed to care for our new Molly girl.Dan responded almost immediately before, during and even after we got home as a few questions arose. The whole experience was awesome, and we couldn’t recommend Just Behaving enough.Molly is now 4 1/2 months, growing like a weed (now 36 lbs, long and lean and if I might say, regal in her stature.) Thank you Just Behaving for selecting our family to be the family and hole for one of your special puppies.

My fiance and I could not be happier with our experience here! Upon arrival, Dan (the owner) was so nice, helpful & transparent. He helped us understand what the first few weeks would be like with our new pup and shared a packet of useful information. He's also been available by phone for any questions we may have.Our new pup, Ravioli, LOVES his new home and is such a good boy. I truly believe it's because of how Dan brings each of these dogs into the world - in a calm & free environment. All his animals are so well-behaved & loving, and that definitely translates into each new addition.We can't wait to get Ravioli a friend in the near future!!!
