My Yorkie has been a client for 3 years and he loves going. He started with introduction to grooming appointments as a tiny puppy 3 years ago. He’s a shy boy but the ladies are so sweet and kind to him that he’s happy to go there !

I was a nervous wreck going in because my pup had been adopted 2 months before and I didn't know if he'd been to a grooming salon. The staff was very patient with him and me and even got him done early to help alleviate out stress. But he came through just fine and we will be going back.

Extremely unprofessional and rude and was only inside no more than 5 minutes. Obvious this place is open for the money and not for your furry friends.

We have been customers of Bark Plaza for many years. This family owned and run business has grown successfully. Even so, we are always happy with how our Bichon comes out. We live a far distance away but find its worth the drive.

WOW !! Rudest place ever ! My first and LAST time at this place. Took my 2 beautiful dogs, a Golden and Shichon here. I just moved to North Shore, called 2 weeks ago, they had cancelation so got in. Love the North Shore, nothing but nice people I have met until today. I was gruffly greeted at the door; mean face, NO personality, told me i could NOT come in because I had no mask. Sorry, I explained I was not aware, first time there but would go back to my car to get one. This ignorant, RUDE woman barks, it SAYS on the door, MASK REQUIRED! OK, again my first time there didn't know I told her. Funny, she went on and on about the mask policy but didn't have one on herself. When I questioned that she said well she was vaccinated. I told her so was I. Unbelievable !! And this miserable woman runs a business ?! Not sure how that is ?? My poor Golden is sensitive and started panting, getting stressed, BAD vibes! SO glad we walked out FAST !! BEWARE Folks! If you love your pets, Do NOT leave them in this miserable environment ! Perhaps they do a good grooming job (don't know, never got that far) but NOT worth it, find someone with a caring heart to leave your babies with. Good Luck!

I had brought my dog here several times. These people are so RUDE. I mean just plain rude. The woman on the front desk (the times I went) is by far the worst. They act like they are doing you a favor. I also do not like the way I saw them carrying my little guy - like a bag of trash. I would not so much as buy a toy in this place. Found a wonderful groomer right up the street.

Just brought my two very different dogs home from Bark Plaza and I could not be happier with the results. The groomers and staff did a wonderful job !! Both my dogs...a 12 lb Japanese Chin Poo and 100 lb Shiloh Shepard look terrific! Plus everyone there treated them with care and affection... true dog lovers!!I just moved to this area and I am thrilled to have this groomer so close. And they carry the grain free food that I use.5 stars!

i took my girl in for the second time . first the positive. they do a great job with my dog bathing , trimming, etc. now! when i dropped her off I specifically said do NOT cut her nails, (she just had them done by the vet), the receptionist who is as friendly as a viper didn't listen to me and the did cut them anyway, which i knew because of one of her nails bleeding when I picked her up. I called to complain about this and yes it's not the end of the world but I wasn't happy, so she asked what I wanted her to do, I said tear up my check and she proceeded to laugh at me on the phone.. This woman has absolutely NO business dealing with clients! She's rude and very unfriendly. If you can get passed her you'll love the way your pets look when you pick them up.

I originally posted this review on the establishment’s Facebook page but it was deleted, and then I was blocked. If you are looking for a place to take your dog that provides good assembly line service from a technically talented groomer – I highly recommend this place. However, if you want to bring your pet to a place that provides a more personalized service from a customer friendly owner, this is NOT the place for you.I was a customer of bark plaza for 7+ years. The first 4 years was with my American Eskimo and now the latter three with my Havanese, named Harmony. I was extremely loyal to Bark Plaza – referring people to the establishment on multiple occasions – some of which are existing customers today. Each time I made a referral, the person inevitably came back and mentioned how the “groom” exceeded their expectations but were taken back by the abrasiveness of the owner/groomer, Carolyn Sorrento. Each time that would happen (more than twice – less than 5 times), I would defend Carolyn and say she must have been having a bad day – that any abrasiveness or rudeness was not consistent with my experience. In retrospect, I think my perception was based on how kind they were to my American Eskimo during his final days and I let that cloud my judgement. But then again, an American Eskimo is easy and straight forward to groom.Sadly, that perception changed dramatically today.Today, I brought Harmony into Bark Plaza for an 8AM appointment. When I dropped her off, I asked that she not be shaved down, that I would prefer she be trimmed to a 1”. I said the last time she was shaved down to ½” with several bare spots, she was a bit traumatized. (I used the word traumatized in an over-exaggerated tone – trying to make light of the situation – but trying to get my point across that I did NOT want her shaved) Did Harmony have matts in her fur? Yes. Were they excessive? No.At 8:43 AM I received a phone call from Carolyn stating that she could not spend any more time on Harmony – that she would not de-matt her and that she would not shave her because I said she was “traumatized” last time. I had to go pick up Harmony because she refused to complete the job.Needless to say, I was very upset when I went to pick up Harmony. I had been a loyal customer – making referrals for years – tipping extremely well (always over 20% - until today) – and was being treated what I considered poorly. Did Harmony’s grooming needs exceed what an average dog would need? Probably yes. But after 7+ years of being a customer, I would think that would buy some accommodation. I now have a dog whose coat is about 2-3 inches long going into the hottest days of summer. When I arrived at the establishment and paid my bill, I commented that I’m glad her business was doing so well that she didn’t need to show any kind of loyalty to long standing clients. Her response was simply “don’t be like that” “let it go” “there are plenty of groomers in the area”.I was now beginning to experience the “abrasiveness” or indifference others had told me about. When I commented that I was the Director of Customer Experience for a $5B company (as a way to illustrate that I knew something about the right and wrong way to treat customers) her comment was “Oh… a $5B dollar company…. I’m not impressed”. Well – you DON’T have to be an expert in Customer Experience to know THAT is not the way you should speak to a customer.I’m very sad to be leaving Bark Plaza – I enjoyed chatting with Pat over the years (the receptionist and Carolyn’s mother), always felt that my dog was safe in their care and will always be grateful for the kindness they showed my dog Avalanche during his last days . I believe that Carolyn is a very technically talented groomer but has a lot of room to grow in developing the soft skills that drive an exceptional customer experience and loyalty.

I've brought my dog to this place for about a year now, since there are not a lot of grooming shops in the area. I won't be going there any more. The last straw came when I brought my dog for an appointment that I had on my calendar and they told me the appointment was the day before. I'm not sure if I made the mistake when I put it on my calendar or if they did, but they proceeded to tell me they would charge me the full $50-$60 fee for missing it. I don't even know if they can legally do that, but if you go here (which I obviously don't recommend) make sure you don't miss your appointment! Before this experience, there were many times when they did not listen to my instruction about cutting my dog's hair too short, saying that she was matted, which I knew was not the case. Even if it were, they didn't have the decency to call or better yet the energy to de-matte her. So my dog often left Bark Plaza looking like the Taco Bell mascot. When I would bring this up to them, I'd always get a snippy remark from who I think is the owner. From now on I'll drive an extra 15-30 minutes to visit another groomer who comes highly recommended.

Our Bernese has been going there and the staff and groomers are wonderful. Should you like your pet groomed a certain way they are more than happy to oblige, just ask. Would highly recommend them to anyone and the pricing is very reasonable.

Clean and very friendly. They have a great selection of dog food, treats, toys and pretty much anything else you need for your fur baby. They do an amazing job grooming. So happy I found this place!

Called to set up a nail trim for my dog on Wednesday, no one answered. I left a message around 10 a.m. but was called back the next day and informed that they don't groom Thursdays or Mondays. It is a grooming salon... taking my business elsewhere.

Really great service here. My golden retriever always comes out looking amazing. Prices are competitive with the big chains but a much better service
