Feb2023: 5⭐: I would recommend this small store location.This location appears to be a small satellite type location that is situated in the middle of a bustling small store business area. There is parking adjacent to the business that is specifically for Target and Dunkin Donut customers. There is handicap parking in front of the doors and plenty of general parking spaces as well. The parking lot appears to be very busy and one would have to use caution moving into and out of the lot. This lot doesn't appear to be suitable for large vehicles. I watched one individual truck pull in and clog up the entire entry exit area for other vehicles trying to turn around looking for parking. The store front had an automatic door that opened when I approached and was functional. This store appears to be equipped with a small variety of everything a major store would have in stock. I would not expect this store to have everything a full store would have, but I would expect this store to have the basic necessities for residents in the surrounding area. You can see as I walk through the store snapping pictures that this store was consistently being replenished with the amount of products that were being put on shelves even as customers were in there trying to shop. This type of activity might irritate customers or shoppers, but it's this type of activity that keeps the shelves full and the store functional has a small mini-mart that should be functional and stocked. I did not witness any fighting or negative activity from the store associates when I observed the interaction between the work group. There were store associates stock in the shelves as well as those moving products from the back to the front. This operation when I visit it appears to be functional, well supervised and well managed. I did not take note of the small things that may or may not be on the shelves, what I did take note of is that compared to area food markets and many markets. This location will definitely be competitive with those types of shops for customers. I did like the fact that when I went to check the lettuce area that I found that all of it was not brown. It was green and appealing for me to purchase. No, I'm not going to do an update to let you know how it tastes. I can tell you now that I think it's going to be fine.

Look closely at your receipt before paying at self checkout. Someone is skimming. I was charged for 4 items I did not buy but didn’t realize to until I left. SCAM.

Used same day order and store pickup on Christmas Eve for some last minute items. The only issue was finding a parking spot! In-store experience was fast and easy.

I felt discriminated when shopping to buy a video game on Thursday December 14th around 11:30ish close to noon. upon asking for assistant to purchase a video game, an employee came to retrieve it from the case which can only be open by an employee. I was not greeted with no customer service & wanted to examine the game he kept it away from me by his body motion & hand movement, he was being very stand offish. He handed it off to a cashier, he then walked away with an attitude. I was treated as if I was going to run out and leave the store with it. I made a joke to be friendly & was responded with an attitude with him saying “what?” he was a slightly tall caucasian male I don’t know his name. I don't think I would like to go back there and shop and I buy tons of my video games there & accessories because it’s close to home. Also there was security near the door where was I going? I should be asked or allowed to examine something before buying. If I were white I would never had been treated like this. He definitely judged me by my skin color. I purchased the game and left I was upset but kept it to myself

Unfortunately had multiple negative experiences with this store. The inventory reflected online does not match what’s in store (even for larger ticket items), and when you call to check their inventory they hang up without answering the phone.

I strongly suggest people shop at stores that actually care about customer service. Target hires no cashiers and the only employee I saw was the guard at the door. It is offensive and cynical to make me do all the work and then to make it clear I am not to be trusted. And Target is no longer cheaper than other stores even with all the savings on not hiring sufficient staff. Shop at stores that employ people and aren't insulting.

I really like this Target. When I first moved to the area it had major stock issues - whole sections practically empty and always out of essentials like dish soap. But they’ve really turned it around and now I find I can get all the things I need there. Plus since it’s a “neighborhood target” it never gets too busy and the staff all seem nice and relaxed, like they haven’t been dealing with crazy all day. Bonus, I can get in and out quickly without making impulse buys since the home and clothing sections are all mainly the essentials. The CVS is also much better than others I’ve been to - I’ve gotten personal calls about snags in my prescription - and the line is usually 0 - 2 people max.

Awesome store and awesome employees. The store is always clean, organized and stocked. For being a small store they do a great job diversifying the types of products that are available and are constantly updating their inventory. The workers are always smiling and willing to help. They don't just offer basic help either I have seen and experienced personally on multiple occasions employees really take the initiative to go above and beyond to provide solutions for customers. Love it there! Keep up the good work.

This is my local Target and it’s almost impressive how often they never have the exact thing you need that you’d get at any other Target. Sure it’s a small location, but it’s up to the managers to order the right inventory bc I never have a problem at any other Target regardless of size.

This place needs to close soon or change management. Milk,eggs,yogurt and many expired items they're selling is just ridiculous. The backroom sneak peak looks like this. Imagine why everything else is so bad. This place needs a change. Managers have an attitude as if the customers are doing something wrong to them. The black tall security follows you and harrassed you as if your sleeping with he's mate instead of asking you if you need something, not like there's much on the shelves.

Had great customer service at the Roslindale Target today. Tarese helped me save money at checkout. Another woman offered to help in the aisles to help me find the soy milk. Both were very friendly and approachable. Thank you for adding kindness to my day.

Smaller location because it is a city target so I'd look online to make sure they have an item you're looking for in stock first. Staff are friendly and helpful and the store is definitely good in a pinch for common items. I will say their grocery section is pretty good for a smaller target. I've also always found parking to be available which is a bonus.

The entire store is tailored to women’s clothing, body wash, deodorant and hair careI could not find a single bottle of men’s hair gel, body wash, or deodorant besides one small section of old spice.I literally left empty handed because they had 4 feet of men’s products

How is it that Target employees always seem to be so upbeat, energetic and ready to help? They really make the store a fun place to shop. I like that I can get fresh fruit, art supplies and a stylish shirt in the same store and the reasonable prices help me to rationalize why I just bought three more things than I came in for! Friendly people working there, easy to find stuff, lots of interesting merchandise, a sense of style with the store itself too. Definitely one of my favorite places to shop!

This location is very small (but it is a "city Target.") Prices are high like typical Target but I use it like a convenience store honestly. There is a particular food item I buy there on a regular basis as it is better priced compared to other grocery stores. I advise you to check expiration dates on food as I once purchased bacon that expired 2 weeks earlier only to get it home & realize it was slimy. 🤮 Upon going back to exchange I realized they were ALL expired! I also find the employees mostly gruff & unfriendly. I watched a customer get chewed out over not wearing a mask & told that he should "learn how to read." After they threw him out the group of employees proceeded to talk trash about him & one even stated "we need to invest more money in education since obviously people can't read. " Unprofessional! I do agree that security is tight here and employees do follow you around..doesn't bother me though because I'm not a thief..just something to be aware of. Overall I like having a Target in Roslindale.

My neighborhood Target is an Express or smaller one, so it's merchandise is limited. They have however, managed to pack in an attractive and varied selection, ranging from home goods to toiletries. The clothing section is rather small and limited, whereas the make up seems extensive. I do like their grocery offerings, the produce is fresh and they have all the essentials for a quick run, milk, bread, etc. at prices lower than the only other local market. The Target is a good addition to the area, because before it arrived, there was nowhere local and especially walkable to pick up basics.

Well, well, I finally made it here. Some items are expensive, like pocketbooks. I could buy them for less at Payless. Rhyme unintended. They had a nice fruit and veggie department. It looked like a natural foods store display. Register areas are small, but the efficient cashier moved your stuff quickly through. Very efficient, helpful and friendly employees. A young man helped me find the can openers even though he was busy stocking shelves elsewhere. The store is neat, clean. What makes this store is the variety found in it. Also, that it reminds me of a giant neighborhood convenience store.Doable for someone like me who dislikes large impersonal stores. There are two sizes of shopping carts. Games, housewares, baby supplies, beauty and health supplies,even bedroom stuff. Next visit I hope to comb through more slowly and add to list.Just remember prices are mixed. Sometimes a good deal, sometimes not. I had a gift card, so final price not bad. Parking on street and around back. I'll check out handicapparking next time. Right next door to Dunks. Convenient.

They have the things you need and are a good quick shop. Sometimes I get disappointed because a few price points are too high. Sometimes I also find that there is a big lag in their stocking or receiving of inventory. Overall they seem to have what I need when I need it. The staff are attentive and pleasant.

Super clean and organized. Decent parking spaces. Dunkins across the street if you like their coffee. Does not have a major selection of clothes, no shoes but it's nice. No furniture either. It's just a mini Target but I'm digging it.

While I was shopping, I was followed by loss prevention and the manager Adonis. I have never felt so upset in my life. I will not be going back to this target again! Not only was I there to pick up an order but I also wanted to shop for my grandmother. When I called and talked with the manager, he tried to make it seem like I was imagining things because I couldn’t recall what the loss prevention guys hair style was. I dont know what I did to raise their suspicions but what they did really ruined my day!

Pretty good for Roslindale. Had a good range of products for the floor space available. I was impressed with the non-GMO/natural food items. The store was clean and tidy. The Mgr helped me out as associates were stocking shelves. Good experience, prices in line with other stores in area. Ample parking.

Nice Target that continues to give Roslindale some personality. I always pay off my Target card here in this store. Workers are cool. This is also a REALLY GOOD Black Friday location. Buying pens, clearance T Shirts, shampoos, etc. is pretty darn good here. NOTE: It's not a MASSIVE Target so don't expect the toy section, video games or electronic/T.V. sections to blow you away. Food and household items is the majority of this store. But a great store in Roslindale square.

It is to small. Old staples turned into Target. You can practically see the whole store as soon as you walk in. Does not live up to the Target brand that I'm use to seeing. Best way to describe it is like a corner store, you only go for certain things because you can get more from the grocery store. Gave 2 stars because of location and cleanliness. Not a store I will return to, much rather drive to my regular store location.
