I’ve ordered compost for delivery from multiple businesses for different clients of mine. Last year, Sunnynook’s driver arrived at a property in Dartmouth and insisted on arguing with me about the best way to enter the property. We tried to explain there was a shallower way to back in but he failed to follow simple instructions and proceeded to do what he thought was best. This resulted in him getting stuck in the yard and him having to shovel out a chunk of the yard to get out. I was sent a bag of grass seed which offended my client.Fast forward to this year, we order a compost delivery for the same property. I explain over the phone to a pleasant woman that there was an issue with the driver last year and I would like to be called ahead of time so I may be there when it’s dropped off. That way I can direct them on the property and avoid another problem. About 20 minutes the owner of Sunnynook has the audacity to call me to tell me his driver is experienced, that he followed our directions (which he absolutely did not) and it was our fault he did the damage and that we should be happy with the bag of grass seed he so generously sent us. Before I can begin to respond he tells me he’s canceling this delivery and not to call back before handing the phone over to his phone operator.What a terrible businessman. I say that based on basic business etiquette and customer service which this man clearly lacks. I will be sure to tell all my peers in this field of work to avoid Sunnynook Farms for their landscaping needs. It’s a real shame to see another business like this mismanaged, where the customer is disrespected over clear miscommunication. I understand protecting your workers is a priority but I’m simply stating what happened and it appears his worker lied and told them something completely different.Other than that, they have a good quality compost.

Such a awesome business you can get anything you want here that has to do with any of your needs on your property from dog food to bird food hay right down to mulch definitely the best mulch around and I just got two yards of stone for my driveway and it's beautiful I am so pleased 😀!!!

Small family business that is well known by members of the town. Ample supply of feeds for all animals and they carry mulch, loam, firewood, hay and take in materials to compost.
