We used the space for a close friends baby shower. Christian was amazing to work with, truly effortless in every way. Bonus was our bartender for the event Kalee, who was beyond amazing. Would definitely recommend and use Balderdash again for more events. Love the space, was perfect in every way.

We love this place. Live music and good food trucks on a Saturday. This place can’t be beat. Donna greeted us when we walked in and directed us to the tables down stairs that had been set up to accommodate more guests. We were still able to hear the music and chat. We enjoy going in the warmer weather as they have tons of chairs to sit outside and enjoy food, wine and music.

Fantastic venue, looking forward to the warmer weather to open up the outdoor space. Saw a couple of complaints about not being enough room and a muddy parking lot. Well, if it wasn't such an awesome place, it wouldn't be crowded and I'm not sure how they can control the weather. Had a great time today as usual, looking forward to the next time!

If you are looking for the chance to sample locally produced wine, enjoy majestic mountain views, and enjoy live music, you must visit! Owner Christian and wife Donna have created a friendly and fun wine venue. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and got to hear Tony Bernardo belt out some great tunes! We did a wine tasting flight (pick five) and fell in love with their Toolbooth Riesling, described as fesh, off-dry and aged for nine months. And if you are wondering why there are giraffes all over this impressive building? Christian loves giraffes!

Awesome spot - I used Berkshire Picnics to set up a surprise proposal picnic with my now fiance. It's an excellent setting, but the owner was also personable and rooting for us - she got us a complimentary bottle of wine and offered to help me hide the enormous ring box. She and others cheered after the proposal succeeded. It was all very cute and memorable and I strongly recommend this spot (paired with Berkshire Picnics or not).

I went with my family and my daughter and son-in-law who were visiting from Georgia. They wanted to visit a winery and my sister and brother-in-law had been to Balderdash before so they suggested we all go there.BEST TIME EVER !!!! The weather couldn’t have been more perfect and it was the most relaxing day. Only downside was we picked a day when they were having a wedding so we had to leave by 3 pm , otherwise we would have been there till closing. The staff and owner were all so pleasant and welcoming!! Definitely a must-visit and I’ll be back !!

This is our go-to venue in Berkshire County during all four seasons. It's perched atop a hill and overlooks a pond in scenic Richmond, MA, just over the border from Pittsfield. We're originally from this area, but now live out of state. But when we're in the Berkshires visiting family, we always make it a point to stop at Balderdash for a glass of wine or to pick up a bottle or two to bring back home with us. We have also given many bottles as gifts, and each one has resulted in a new fan of Balderdash!If you're in the mood for enjoying stunning views of the Berkshire Hills while sipping delicious locally-made wine, then look no further! And if you don't enjoy wine, well, they also have 1-2 beers on-tap. You can bring your own food, and they often have unique food trucks.Check their website and/or Facebook page for really fun and unique events (think Family Feud or a modern version of The Newlywed Game!). They also often have acoustic musicians, so there's always something happening at Balderdash! It's such a cool spot.The owners are Donna and Christian, and they greet and treat their guests like they are old family friends, so we always feel at home. You can also tell that they love their community, and they pour their love back into it via wine and support. They walk the walk.Their wine is absolutely outstanding. In the summer, we love their wine slushies. We recommend mixing the red and the white! It's an adult version of a Slush Puppie! 😉If we could give Balderdash Cellars more than 5 stars, we most certainly would. They deserve every accolade.

Can’t say enough good things about owners, Christian and Donna. I met Donna while there last fall and I dealt with ChristianOver the Christmas holidays getting some merch for my wife. Donna was lovely, giving alittle history and introducing me to the previous owners. The music and offerings during our fall outing were spot in. What relaxing entire afternoon lounging and listening. Spring is a great time to start visiting. Plan multiple trips from now until well into the fall!

My favorite place to gather with friends and family for the day. The views are amazing, and the wine is delicious. The owners are so wonderful and caring and make your experience so much fun. We started our New England road trip in the Berkshires and this was our first stop. I can’t recommend it enough. The wine, views, music, and atmosphere were spectacular. The workers seemed to love their jobs and were beyond friendly. This place is so worth your time!

This winery was the perfect thing to do during our getaway to the Berkshires. It had a beautiful outdoor seating area with gorgeous views, and the inside had fun live music (with an extremely talented musician) that everyone was so excited about. We met the owner and she was unbelievably friendly and helpful, and the wine was delicious (I had the pinot noir) with generous pours. I will absolutely be returning the next time I visit the Berkshires!

My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of visiting this past weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed the wine selection and the two beers on tap! We enjoyed a bottle of Riesling and sat outside while we took in the beautiful view. They had live music which made for a relaxing Sunday afternoon. From the atmosphere, the prices, and the inviting smiles – they truly have thought of everything here. Definitely will be stopping in again soon!

My husband and I visited the Berkshires for a weekend and Balderdash kept popping up while planning our weekend! They open reservations for the week on Monday, and when we looked Monday evening, the live music slots were already sold out. We weren't going to go, but then decided the reviews were too good to pass it up :) We went Friday afternoon in the 12 - 3:30 slot and sat on the patio under the tent. They have the edge of the tent wide open for the beautiful views. They're doing a great job managing the COVID guidelines. Food trucks in for each time slot (we had salads and wraps from Biggins Diggins) and they're strict with tickets for the reserved time slots. The wine was delicious! We had the red blend, rose and chardonnay. It was a rich, buttery chardonnay which can be hard to find. We left with a bottle. Staff and owners were welcoming and service was top notch. My favorite part may have been the owners' dog wandering around! A must visit with a trip to the Berkshires!
