Last minute trip. Had to board my (2), Border Collies for 9 days. Expected they would stick together and be fine. Was told by staff that they hardly would eat and so they added wet food. That was not normal. After a day, they both started coughing and spitting up. We found out it was "kennel cough" and they would need to see a vet and get antibiotics. Last kennel visit for them!

I have been boarding my dog here for years. Finally getting around to writing a review. I've been very pleased. My dog always drags me inside and he never gives me a second look when they take him from me .. so 5 starts from him too.

I will never send my dogs here again for boarding!! I recently boarded my dogs here for the first time for 7 days. When I picked them up and put them in the car they begin to sneeze, I took it as possibly allergies from the cottonwood trees cotton in the air. When we got home they continued to sneeze, cough, seemed to have trouble breathing, and had snot coming from their noses. I immediately booked an vet appointment. The vet informed me that they had an bacteria infection and put them on antibiotics for 10 days and informed me not to allow them around other dogs, which is a huge inconvenience because they go to a dog sitter when I’m at work and now they are not able to, forcing me to take off work and rearrange my schedule to make sure my furbabies have constant supervision.Soo, with good intentions and a calm demeanor I called Brian’s Kennel to inform them that my dogs came home sick and to be aware that a dog was sick or cleaning was not satisfactory that got my dogs sick. Also, to inquire if anyone noticed that they were sick during the stay and if so why was I not notified . When I called I asked to speak to the manager or owner, the person that answered the phone told me that they could help me. I proceeded to tell her the situation and in her words she said “ it sounds like kennel cough, and I’m sure the vet told you that it was not serious” and continued to say “that’s the risk you take when boarding your dog, it’s like sending your kid to daycare, there is nothing that we could do, we clean the kennels daily” During the conversation she was getting defensive and kept cutting me off. When I asked her did anyone notice something was wrong. She stated they they played with my dogs every day. Now this is VERY concerning because when I picked them up they were visibly sick, so either they did not pay attention to my dogs or they do not know the signs of a sick dog. My intentions when calling was not to ask for money back or to even get mad, it was only to make them aware of the situation and that they might have other sick dogs. But her unconcern of the situation was very off putting and honestly made me extremely angry. I will never EVER EVER take my dogs back to that place and I will make an appoint to not recommend them and tell anyone that ask about boarding about my experience. Terrible terrible experience!!! The worse thing to be is a dog sitter that puts out the impression they are not concerned about the dogs the watched or the dogs they are watching. How seriously sick my dogs are, I’m sure they were not the only ones affected. And yes, they are vaccinated against kennel cough but being vaccinated does not mean they can not contract bordetella, just means it won’t be as severe. I was made aware that they did not put any of that information down regarding vaccinations because the lady I spoke to had to ask me if they were vaccinated. I wonder if unvaccinated dogs are being boarded and are they missing verifying that when boarding dogs?Very Angry and Disappointed Dog Mom!

I have an extremely difficult dog to groom. I adopted him two years ago and after one groomer was unable to complete his first haircut I started grooming him myself. I decided to try again with Brian's Kennel. About two weeks ago I called and explained how challenging the dog is and that I would like to speak to the groomer prior to the appointment. I also informed whoever I spoke with that the dog will be sedated for the appointment. The person I spoke with suggested I come for the first appointment of the day to be able to speak with the groomer. The closest appointment was today 6/21/22 and they initially booked me at 7am. They called me back shortly after and moved the appointment to 7:30 am because the groomer wouldn't be in at 7am. I arrived on time this morning with a sedated dog and was informed that the groomer wouldn't be arriving until 8:30 am. The only option I was given was to leave the dog until the groomer arrived. I asked why someone would book me for a 7:30 am appointment when the groomer doesn't arrive until 8:30 am. The young woman I spoke to didn't know the answer. I left and I won't be going back. I explained how difficult the dog can be to groom. I planned the timing of the sedative, I took first appointment of the day, and I asked to be able to speak to the groomer. I did everything I could to make the process as smooth as possible for both my dog and the groomer. Now I have a sedated dog that I'm too angry to groom myself right now and I'm looking at another couple weeks before I can try again with another groomer. If your dog can be challenging to groom Brian's Kennel will not work with you to make the experience easier and will end up wasting your time.

If I could give a negative star I would. I have never been charged more than $100 to groom my Briard. They charged me $160. The groomer asked me directly whether she should cut/trim his face, and I vehemently begged her explicitly NOT to trim, cut, shape his face or head in any way, and she acknowledged that she understood. I explained that if we let his hair grow out it will part over his eyes, and she acknowledged that. She then ignored that request completely and did whatever she wanted, significantly trimming and shaping his face and head and neck. I am outraged at the price I was charged for a service I did not get. I will be entering a complaint with the BBB. Who do they think they are?

Jake's first day in doggy day care at Brian's Kennel was good. It's going to take a few visits but I think it's the place to keep him while I am at work. The place clean and the staff was very nice. Will se how the next week or two weeks go.

I’ve been going to Brian’s Kennels for the last 4 years to have my Golden Retriever groomed. They do such a great job and I’m very happy with their service.

Have been going to this kennel for years. Pretty much everyone knows my dog and he greets them with no issue. The last time I drop him off before going out of town a guy I have never seen is there. He seems flustered and an uneasy. He tried to leash my dog and he barked at him. He then accused my dog of attacking him and proceeded to tell others the same thing. He was quickly corrected by my wife who came in next to drop off our cat. When I returned the woman who was there informed me that I needed to retrieve my dog from the back myself. Clearly because this guy was giving my dog a bad name. I have never once received a negative report about my dog in all the years he has been there. I won’t be back. Just lost my business. Get this guy training or don’t let him near peoples animals!

I sent both my dogs here while we were away on vacation. One of my dogs is overly nervous, always anxious. They handled them both perfectly. Loved everything about my experience and will be recommending them to everyone and using them in future. Thanks!

My partner and I both have extremely hectic work schedules and I have brought Kendall here on numerous occasions, even last minute sometimes to stay and they are always super flexible and friendly. They always know Kendalls name, which is really nice, because you can tell that they care about the pups who stay there. It is affordable and easy going, which we love. It isn't fancy but it is the perfect place for our dog. Highly recommend and the cost compared to many of the other surrounding kennels is amazing!

Brian's Kennels were great! Very easy boarding service with playtime for an additional $10 per day. They even sent me a video of my dog playing while I was away so I would know how she was doing and gave me a summary of how she fared when I picked her up.

We left our boopys here for 6 days, left bones, and asked that they give her a bath while she’s there. When we picked her up she had a horrible cold, ate like she hasn’t ate since we dropped her off, and smelt worse than she did when we dropped her off. We also noticed patches on her skin were lighter than others (we have no idea what this means). I don’t believe they even bathed her and charged me for it let alone traumatized our dog. Pay the extra few bucks, there’s a reason this place is this cheap. Will absolutely never be back

I've been bringing my dog here for almost 3 years now. They have always been able to accommodate my last minute requests when i have a sudden work trip come up. The best part, my dog gets excited to be there, she hates most people and she sees the folks that work at brian's and runs up to give them kisses. i would definitely recommend them and i am not always the most trusting of people with my dog.

Our dog wasn't in a majorly bad way but our bag of dogfood was scarcely touched (should have been given more than three cups from it) and the dogs were sitting there in the dark. They also didn't give our dog her medicine which was kind of a bigger deal.We are absolutely not taking our dog back there.

I love Brian's Kennels. Brian and team have a clear love and full knowledge of dogs. They know what they are looking at when interacting with the dogs' parents, too. My Iggy trusts them. I do too. I really do appreciate them.

Im not impressed with the place at all...they throw your dog in a kennel and feed him...unfortunately my dog lost weight and his food disappeared, so what happened to the food if my dog barely ate. And im not convinced they gave my dog his meds at all. For a place that provides dog training the staff seem fearful and judgmental about the bully breed...my dog had a severly stressful stay there...it seems like you have to know someone to get good service

We left our yorkie there for a week and when we went to pick him up, it was pretty seamless. By the time he came back home with us, we noticed that he was acting extremely weird and found him bleeding under his neck and near his legs. We tried to call and see what happened but they’ve been avoiding us. Now we are having to take him to the vet and get him checked out…DO NOT TRUST THEM
