About a month ago we walked in hoping to find a puppy to add to our family and be "siblings" with our Havanese. We hit the jackpot with a Goldendoodle. We have named her Hazel and she is the sweetest, most mellow, playful, well tempered dog. She received a 100% clean bill of health from our vet and it's now hard to imagine her not being a part of our home. The guy who helped us at The Perfect Puppy was very attentive, answered all of our questions and could not have been nicer. They had quite a few staff working and were diligent on cleanliness.I highly recommend going to The Perfect Puppy to find a furry addition to your family!

We absolutely love our golden retriever! She is perfect ❤ healthy, beautiful, happy puppy. A year later and we still can't get enough of her! My kids couldn't be happier. Thank you! Also, I read in the reviews that someone got the brother of our girl! Our girl was born in November 2019 in Pennsylvania. Not sure how to email someone in these reviews, but if you see this, we would love to have a puppy play date 😀

I went in looking for a Shiba Inu and the price was $1450 and on the Hypoallergenic list. All of a sudden after I showed interest in the dog. The guy at the front decided to go to the board, erase the original price of the shiba inu and changed it to $2050as well switch it to the Non Hypoallergenic list.I questioned it and he told me that it was always $2050 which was a complete lie because I wrote down the original price in my phone.I would say stay clear of this place. because they will lie to you about the price of the puppies or change the price anytime they want.

I financed a puppy there at the Rhode Island location, BIG MISTAKE! I got a yorkshire terrier from there and it was sad how they kept them in containers where they couldn't see anything but from the top and it was very dirty with shredded newspapers. I was misled on the price of the puppy but reluctantly I bought him any ways. the day I bought him home i heard one employee say to another you didnt give them any water and the other said no and they laughed about it. they told me he was healthy and nothing was wrong with him. They lied he was very sick and very dirty. When I bought him home to give him a bath there was poop matted really bad into his fur under his butt and paws. Which signifies that he haven't had a bath in a long time. He a very bad upper respiratory infection. He was treated at the Vet I took him to. Needless to say I have to bring him back to the Vet because after 2 weeks he still has a cough and a skin condition. DO NOT PURCHASE A PUPPY FROM THEM!!!

We were very lucky getting our happy dog, super loyal, the most friendly in the dog park. I would suggest to give the dogs some toys in the store to keep them occupied. I like more the Sictuate location than Warwick because of building space, and A++ the staff

Went in and immediately wanted to cry. The whole place reaked of pics and the dogs are kept I tiny cubicles with barely any space. Alot of them had mangy fur and red bulges from their eyes. This isn't healthy or humane this place deserves to be shut down immediately

Scott is amazing he really knows his puppies!!! We went in on a Monday to look at puppies and fell in love with one instantly. Came back on Wednesday to purchase and Scott took great care of us and made our puppy purchase a very pleasurable experience!!! Highly recommend Family Pet Center for all your pet purchases!!!

This is going to be long...We “leased” a golden retriever puppy spring of 2019. It was just him and his sister left when we got him. We don’t know how many more siblings they had, if any. We hope to find his sister. The tag for them said they are from Christine Pennsylvania. They were born 3-13-19. We picked our boy up June 2019. We hope she found a good home and if you’d ever like to have a play date send me an email. We had frequently visited all the locations for about 3-4 months straight searching for our families Perfect Puppy(pun intended). We clearly found the one. In those months we became a familiar face to all the employees. With all those visits we saw all of the daily routines for the pups and staff. The employees during that time were always attentive to the needs of the puppies. Anytime a pup was out of food/water, was soiled or their bin needed cleaning staff were always quick to take care of them. They also have strict rules to help prevent the puppies and you from getting/spreading sickness. With covid I’m sure it’s even more strict. In that time we had even gotten to know their vet. He was very nice and professional as well. He was there every week. More if needed.Buying/leasing a puppy from a store isn’t for everyone. For all those who frown upon it. We did try for almost 6 months to find a puppy at every rescue in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Connecticut. My daughter was attack by a dog at 3 yrs old and was fearful of all dogs for for 4 yrs. (**Since brining Lucky home my daughter has gotten over her fear of dogs.) We wanted a puppy so there was no question of how it was treated, and it would be raised to accommodate our lifestyle. The puppies we did find were not breeds we wanted or could have. Insurances can be very picky about breed. If they weren’t we would have a Rotti.Again pet stores aren’t for everyone. Those who are looking for something specific can more than likely find it here. The typical experience is a good one. That’s my opinion anyways! To all the people claiming you can’t touch the puppies. THATS A LIE. They have you wash your hands between pups. And also limit the contact with new pups that haven’t had test results back to confirm they are healthy before letting the public play with them and other puppies in the same day. We would designate a day to play with the puppies that didn’t go as quickly as their litter mates and the ones that weren’t cleared yet. So trust me ALL the puppies get attention from customers and the staff. NO I AM NOT FRIENDS OR WORK FOR THEM.The chocolate lab is a perfect puppy puppy too! Happy and healthy 😍😍

Great friendly service. Ashley was great. They have a wide variety of pups. They explain everything. Couldn't be happier with our shiba inu. Will probably go back and get timba a play mate.

I met the sweetest dog ever. My mom won’t get her for me, I don’t have much money. I have $755-$900. Can I make a deal?

Visited today in search of a potential new fur baby and my fiancé and I left more depressed than ever. The dogs are kept in tiny cubicles where they can’t see anything except out of the tops. Their “bedding” is just ripped up paper, some have different dyed colors which could be toxic to the dogs, and of course some of the puppies were eating and chewing on the paper. You’re not allowed to pet or interact with the dogs at all for “health reasons” which sounded very suspicious to me. Many of the dogs appeared lethargic, sad, and even shaking. Some seemed fine but tried to jump up for attention which we weren’t allowed to give. Many cried and it was just so depressing. The store itself is barren and feels like a back-alley puppy trade. The workers just sit and scroll on their phones while the dogs cry. When I asked how they were exercised one worker informed me that they get to use the space in the front which is just a child’s playpen. Truly depressing I wish all these dogs could be rescued and taken care of by people who actually care.

A friend of mine recommended this place to me, and it taught me a valuable lesson to always read reviews before visiting any establishment. Although I am uncertain about the claims of it being a puppy mill, I decided to check it out and ended up purchasing an adorable little puppy. However, I noticed that her hair was unkempt, and I wondered if they groomed the puppies at all. Despite that, she is incredibly sweet and well-behaved. It saddened me to see other puppies in need of homes, and I wished I had the means to rescue them all and find them loving families. Nevertheless, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. The prices are quite high, and their return policy is quite unfavorable. In the heat of the moment, when you're captivated by the cuteness of the puppies, you may think you're ready and that it's worth it. However, they only offer a 50% refund if you return the puppy within 7 days. They do provide a full refund if there are any medical issues with the dog within 2 years, and they offer to cover some of the medical expenses, but only up to a certain reasonable amount. By the time you realize you may not be ready for a puppy, you have already developed a bond with them and wouldn't want to give them up.If you're uncertain about your readiness for a puppy, I would suggest trying fostering instead. I adore my puppy, but there were moments when I contemplated returning her, but the return policy deterred me. Essentially, I would have ended up paying over $1000 for just 7 days or less with the puppy. Not everyone is prepared for the responsibilities that come with owning a puppy, and sadly, some dogs end up neglected or in unsuitable homes because people underestimate the time and effort required. A genuine animal lover would prioritize the happiness and well-being of their puppies and offer more favorable return policies. In my opinion, the return policy should allow for 100% refund within 1-2 days, 90% within 2-3 days, 80% within 3-4 days, and gradually decrease to 50% within 7-14 days. I understand that the longer someone spends with the puppy, the more attached they may become, resulting in some sadness during the return process. However, I believe the establishment would be able to resell the puppy for the same amount.

Our experience was wonderful. Once we picked our Baxter we realized we couldn’t take him for 2 weeks as we were going away. We couldn’t wait to get home, perfect puppy held on to him for us and we even went to visit him before we left and named him.

Went to look at puppies. There was a veterinarian there conducting health checks on each pup. I asked why they were there and they said they go each week to give health checks and care. That was very reassuring. Also they let you pick a pup to play with and yes you can take pictures. The puppies are not neglected. We bought a Labrador and before we could take it home they mandate a worm test and if positive the puppy has to stay to be treated before they let it go home. Ours did not have worms and we took him home after the test results. Most of the negative comments on here are lies. Some are just pushing a weird animal activist agenda. These puppies are well cared for and we couldn't be happier with our beautiful puppy!

I have purchased two puppies from the perfect puppy. My first was a great experience and super healthy! My second seems healthy but she definitely has worms which is nasty but said to be common. I feel really bad for the bigger dogs that are in those little crates they need to put the bigger dogs in bigger space and put toys in their crates as well! Staff was super nice and helpful. Prices are ridiculous

My husband and and I purchased our puppy from the one in RI. After reading the negative reviews, sadly I can relate. We bought a black lab and she is amazing, we love her to pieces! But when we went in to get her, some of the employees were so careless and cruel to the puppies, lifting them by their front paws and the puppies seemed very neglected. The prices are also through the roof! When we brought our puppy home she was infested with worms! She was super skinny and weak. Now that she is a year and half old she is amazing, healthy and happy. The only issue we had with her since day one was she had and still has separation anxiety, she will not stay alone anywhere, not home, not in the car, unless someone is with her. She was traumatized from their store since day one, I am so glad we got her out of there.

My dad and I bought our dog Bentley from here just the other day and I must say that all the dogs from here are very healthy and well taken care of . Yes they are expensive but they are well worth the price and they also come w/ a microchip and a 2 yr health guarantee. He is such a good dog and we already love him so much💙💙💙

I’ve been to many pet stores, and usually i’m so good with the conditions they are given. This place truly treats the puppies so horribly. They are in small, concrete, dark cubicles. You can’t touch the puppies even though they are jumping up crying to be pet. I’ve never been to a pet store where you can’t touch the dog. Really sad :((

We purchased our puppy from here in early December, and have had no problems at all health wise. The pup has had several well visit checks for shots and etc., and he is fine to date. The store was also very clean and they make sure you sanitize your hands before picking up any of the puppies. We have already recommended them to several people who have asked about them and our experience.

My female shitzu-cavalier was bought from Plainville MA. What a cutie!!! And oh so, costly!!!She has seizures or some neurological deficit. After multiple vet visits and vet neurologists, I am still uncertain of her future. Today (6/23/2022) is our six month anniversary together; she is 8 months old. I love her with all my heart.Sales experience was fine, same with the staff. Puppies looked healthy.

I had a great experience purchasing a corgi puppy from this place. The staff was very friendly and the purchasing process was very simple. No tricks or waitlist like some breeders do. I would purchase another puppy from them. The reason for 4 starts instead of 5 is the following. When you purchase a puppy from them they give you a free vet visit at a Rhode Island Vet clinic it called Titan. I called them to schedule an appointment, they were very rude on the phone, didn't really care or tried to answer any of my questions. Long story short I cancelled the vet visit there and took my new puppy to a local vet that was much better and made time for me. Note to the Perfect Puppy store, please choose a better vet because my negative experience just calling there made me question the professionalism of this pet store whether I made a mistake purchasing a puppy here. Overall my puppy is healthy and happy, no problems or issue. Just do your own research before taking your new pet to Titan.

They clearly upset someone and they gave a poor review but I thought this place was great! They were friendly and super clean. I bought a golden retriever. They gave me the breeders information where he came from, all vet care up to date, and were super thorough and willing to answer any questions I had. I would recommend them to anyone seeking a pet. I treat mine like my babies and Loved that this business is family owned. Whether you choose to adopt or purchase an animal they all need good homes.

This place is so sad. The puppies are all unwell looking and the owners could not care less about them. There are puppies on wire crates in visible pain. No dog should live like that. The people who run this place must be monsters. This place needs to be shut down in order to end the puppy mill problem - all of these dogs deserve a much better life than to live in a 2x4 pen with minimal attention and care.

My fiancé and I purchased a puppy from here. Customer service was good, and the pups were up to date on all vaccines. However, many of the puppies looked underweight, and after a trip to the vet it was confirmed that our pup was almost 10 pounds underweight. Months later we are still working to get him to the weight he should be at for his age and breed. Sad, and seems cruel.

I was all for adoption let me start w. But 2 yrs ago we had to put our 7yr old German shepherd down because of a brain tumor. My 2 young boys were devastated. Out of a quick spur of moment decision we decided to look at puppies here to try to make my boys feel better. We ended up finding our new family member! Tatum is a very healthy 2 yr old yellow lab now. He is a solid dog at 110 lbs.If anything he needs to lose weight. Thank u Perfect Pup for making our family whole again! Cant speak for others bad experiences. But ours was nothing but joy( and a lots of work lol)
