Variety of products to choose from such as maple syrup, fire cider, beer & wine, ground pork, wild caught ahi tuna, mac n' cheese, bone broth, and much more. Environment isn't as friendly as other stores. Will have to come back and try their coffee and sandwiches.

Update in 2021: you MUST try their bolangnase... tiny bit spicy and so delicious. A gem of the Central MA area; the amount of professionalism and attention to detail is blinding! Great homecooked food as well as a lot of nostalgia for a country/general store; I wish I lived a bit closer to go more often; excellent local beer and wine selections! The California turkey on homemade white bread is great.

I lived in Barre many years ago & used to visit this store often. It's just like a country/general store in Vermont! You can find all sorts of goodies, grab locally made products including freshly made homemade bread, & they also have fresh coffee & offer homemade pizza that's out of this world & a cozy little sitting area to relax a bit. Right across from the scenic town common, it's out in nowhere, but well worth the trip from wherever! I hope it's still as lovely & inviting as it once was. **Update**: Store is still worth a visit, but lots has changed since my last experience...staff seemed less welcoming than they were at one time. Time does change things though.

Always a pleasure... Been coming here since the early 70's... This is THE place to stop for sandwiches when you're on your way into the Quabbin for a day of fishing or hiking.

A total gem in the wilds of the Quabbin. Varied and delicious foods for veggheads and meat eaters alike. And a nice selection of beer and wine to go including Element Brewing. Perfect for a quick stop passing through or a supply run if staying locally.

We bought one of the meals that was made at the store. We ate it Saturday night and it was yummy. We would definitely go back!

Stopped in for lunch. Clean food, interesting menu, outstanding sandwiches. Great ambiance. Tables scattered throughout this charming country store. Also picked up some unique greeting cards by local artists. Set within this neighborhood "commons" that looks and feels like it's a perfect set created for the movies.

Quaint authentic New England feeling. Made to order sandwiches and salads

Update since my last review. Reduced from 5 to 3 stars. The store staff is not as friendly as before. I found the number of custom baked products and craft items reduced. Outside the store there is a classic New England village wit white gazebo and benches to enjoy the fresh air. Fabulous in the fall with the foliage season. Recommend for people that are not in a rush and want to relax and enjoy the time spent in this picturesque place.

I regret coming here and unlocking the knowledge that amazing sandwiches are so close to my office. RIP paycheck.Seriously though- delicious, toasty sandwiches. Yummy baked goods. Soup looked great. Looking forward to coming back.

TLDR: I love this little storeA lovely little store tucked in a quaint New England town. Has both the feel of yesteryear plus a modern inclusive vibe. there's all kind of cool stuff including books by local authors as well as books on the area. there are locally crafted products of all kinds. the back has a section of wooden and other toys, knitted items and kitchy home decor. there is breakfast and lunch fair with vegetarian options....coffee and beverages and giant cookies.. there's a seating area with reading materials that has a nice cafe feel. there's a bulletin board full of busines cards, odd jobbers stuff for sale and cool event type stuff. there's always a local yapping about something..so that can be entertaining. there are frozen take home dinners and soups, homemade ice cream, local maple syrup and honey. it doesn't hurt that it's in the middle of the epitome of a beautiful New England town....or that the staff is very friendly and kind.

This store is chock full of products made by local residents. Anywhere from knickknacks to food items and more. They do serve food restaurant style, with a dining room out back, as well as food to go. Bye the way, the food is absolutely fantastic. I recommend their fresh chicken breast sandwiches...

Amazing food! I highly recommend the pork carnitas tacos or the Cuban. Delicious! They also have a great selection of locally produced goods. The wife and I love to go here and grab a bite to eat and relax in the common across the street with our food.

Excellent pre-made food! We had the sandwich wraps and garden salad. The garden salad was plenty for two people and had quite a variety of vegetables. They also have some nice locally made alpaca socks, hats, etc.

I was told they had some great sandwiches. They were even better than that. Turkey club so freaking good.

I asked my neighbor for a place to have a quick bite to eat that was close by. "Petersham Country Store", he replied "place is fire!" I was not disappointed. Small rustic country store with a lot of character and delicious food. Salads, sandwiches and soups all made right there in house. Not to mention homemade desserts and treats as well. I had the pork carnitas and they were fantastic! Everything was fresh and I believe everything was also locally sourced. If you're in the area definitely stop by for a quick but delicious bite.

I was out delivering flowers and got thirsty. Stopped for water. As I opened the door the aroma overtook me. I was instantly as hungry as I was thirsty. It smelled amazing. And to no surprise my enchiladas were just as heavily as the smell. Glad I stopped. You should as well.

A New England treasure! Sandwich selections are tremendous and very creative. An eclectic selection of items always. The area around the store, the town common is beautiful. A great destination for a motorcycle or sports car ride.

Very country_ish inside and out all the way! A lot of organic homemade foods, drinks like coffee, etc. Even homemade organic bar soaps, lotions, etc. It was very pleasant. Also a sit down area inside for the coffee and deli section.

Decided to stop by after a few year hiatus because last time the old man at the register was grumpy and rude. Stopped in today for some pastries and low and behold the same grimy dude at the register. Still rude, still grumpy lol. What’s worse is I think he’s one of the owners (yikes!)) go to Mimi’s Coffee House, Rose32, or birch tree bread co instead! They’re grateful and happy to see customers.

Fantastic food in the kitchen. They have a great breakfast and lunch menu and they serve my all time favorite burrito with homemade hot sauce. Any time I'm ever in Petersham before the kitchen closes I make sure to get to the Country Store.

This is a quaint little spot in a quiet old rich town in the middle of nowhere. They cater to haughty liberal types with gluten-free and vegan foods. I dig the cafe where you can get a sandwich or coffee and sit down to eat it in the cozy atmosphere.

Quaint place in a classic, bucolic New England town center. Good coffee, but bring your travel mug if you don't want to drink out of paper cups. They sell local veggies as well and other items. Baked goods are usually very good. The register can get busy at times.

A real down-to-earth country store, with quite a bit of local goods being sold. Food is good, with some natural and occasional vegan options too. Great staff is always helpful and friendly. Two thumbs up.

Great visit to this store today. We were in the area hiking. And showed up late and hungry. The lady in the kitchen was kind enough to make us both a sandwich after the kitchen had closed a few minutes early
